- MSTK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19So they just taped four layers of different-colored giant paper onto the wall, one on top of the other, and then cut a grid through them.
Sounds like something we can all make at home :) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19Wouldn't this make your house extremely flammable?
- Renton, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20Even though I don't exactly know the purpose, I'll digg just because it looks cool.
- cyroxos, on 10/12/2007, -4/+19uh...?
- raabco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Winner?
Heh, apparently this design was implemented in a country that doesn't experience any humidity. - oceanmajk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13AHA! And here I was trying to think how long it would take me to cover my living room in super sticky notepads
- RockSlice, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Does anyone else count 5 layers of gray, or is it just me?
Dugg despite the counting error. - 0gleth0rpe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8It´s going to suck when you´re left with only the ones near the roof or floor. :)
- vbsurfer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9It's conceptual art. Neat. Won 2nd Prize..er in 2004.
But where's the winning peice? - Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9No XP bonus for you!
- oceanmajk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6@KiBLeSnBiTs... read it
"A wallpaper consisting of four layers of varying grey tones on a bright primary backing. Each layer is perforated in a grid format and backed with a tacky adhesive similar to ‘post-it’ notes."
@MSTK
Was thinking about this more... it might be a pain in the ass, but you could use 3M removable adhesive spray... I've used it on templates to tack onto a wall for spray painting patterns. I don't know about doing the whole wall with the stuff but it might be a cool project to do a smaller version of this. The spray would allow you to tack up the sheet of paper and then cut the squares and peel each layer away easily. - colonelpanic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Because all Mac users are gay? I think not. Now you sir, on the other hand should be questioning your own preference.
- alantocheri, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4All of his work is really cool. The Cup Communicator and Snow Bench are very cool.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I would not have much use for the post-it notes all over a wall.
However, it would make an awesome design to be painted on a wall. I am sure the design could be replicated with painter's tape. - DireAngel, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Rube liked to stick to yellow post it notes. The one day he got stuck with purple, his whole crew had a panic attack for a moment, thinking it was some kind of dire omen.
- interrogate, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5No, don't worry, it's INflammable!
- thunderer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5That's what Rube needs!
(Cheers to anyone who gets the reference) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6No, they didn't use 4 layers.
Then how would each individual square peel off? - intekra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I can't wait to try this in my apartment!
- djAnakin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I was bored the other night, so I made a dual screen wallpaper based on this.

- bergur1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the cutout one is kinda neat where you can just hang tons of pictures.
- cecil_t, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1she looks cute
- DireAngel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's conceptual art, it's not supposed to be practical. Like a concept car or a race car.
- Yez70, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I miss that show. :(
- bmcnally, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm sorry. Could someone explain the purpose/methodology of this to me? When linked, I thought it would be in an actual room, so that such a project would be pretty cool and would give a greyscale of the areas where people are most likely to look (ie, where they would post the next color post-It).
Is this supposed to be an interesting project for the cubicle, or is it an art project? I'm not trying to be condescending or anything, but I'm an engineer and so necessarily lack culture. - retireinrich, on 11/19/2008, -0/+0http://retireinrich.blogspot.com
nice site to visit - VernonK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not too big on the idea of post-it notes all over my wall, but I've got to say that I LOVE the design that it created on the last pic.
- UrsusMorologus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1does it come with the fat girl?
- 3DinfoSpace, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0The colorful view like that is a key for my newest web project called http://Mini-News.com .

Ultimate aim is to be BETTER than the famous Million Dollar Homepage's pixel ads billboard concept! - 3DinfoSpace, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0A better idea is to fill your image cells with INFORMATION!
See how it can work online on example of displaying news (two layers of information) about today's grand topic, - launching *pixelloto* WALLPAPER BILLBOARD by Alex Tew:
http://1.mini-news.com - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I want this for my home!... but where can I find a post-it note with different shade of grey in each layer? :)
- TheBlackDeath, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I love it shows some style in a sense, till they start falling off.....
AND it shows how bored people get, i personally prefer to spam in forum's when I'm bored but this is a whole new level. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2This must be in an Apple Users house. Because only a gay person would want this inside there home.
- Quantic, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2damn flyingcow beat me to it.
- grgt1994, on 10/12/2007, -10/+0It's hard to imagine something more painful to look at.
- tafkase7en, on 10/12/2007, -16/+5Going to suck to clean up when they all fall off....
