- AlMightyBob90, on 11/29/2007, -1/+51It's like a bed of nails for beginners.
- mokayogi, on 11/29/2007, -2/+41I was lead to believe you wood point me in the write direction.
- WordsnCollision, on 11/29/2007, -4/+40Definitely has the write stuff!
- friend18, on 11/29/2007, -0/+28I prefer to sit on bench's with no chance of pencils being impaled in my ass.
- lpmiller, on 11/29/2007, -1/+23finally, a socially acceptable way to get a pencil crammed up my ass.
- metateck, on 11/29/2007, -3/+21I bet its unsurprisingly uncomfortable.
- techweenie1, on 11/29/2007, -0/+17Weight Restrictions?
- andshewas, on 11/29/2007, -1/+17Now I'll get eraser crap all over my nice black pants.
- sixtymonkeys, on 11/29/2007, -0/+11cool concept but what happens when you shift/slide backwards in your seat, and all the pencils you are resting on snap off. You'd have to sit on it *really* carefully
- wispygalaxy, on 11/29/2007, -0/+11This would make a great piece of furniture at a SAT testing center.
- 10001110101, on 11/29/2007, -0/+9There's no sideways pressure until someone shifts their ass a little. And, the last time I checked, wood didn't break into nice level pieces.. I think I'd pass on being a tester - save myself from the "small wooden stake rectal exam"
- fcukbush, on 11/29/2007, -3/+10buried, inaccurate... I counted only 1587 pencils.
- stonerose, on 11/29/2007, -3/+10Cool idea! and I bet thats suprizingly comfortable!
- FloppyLlamaDigg, on 11/29/2007, -4/+10This thread needs to be erased.
Maybe Mr. Rose could pencil that in. - allenu, on 11/29/2007, -0/+6When you get better at it, you can sharpen the pencils and flip 'em over.
- inactive, on 11/29/2007, -2/+7Wow, that's awesome.
- ChaosProfessor, on 11/29/2007, -0/+5if you have to ask you can't sit on it
- mcfly1204, on 11/29/2007, -0/+5go on....
- CatsAreGods, on 11/29/2007, -1/+6You obviously don't frequent porn sites.
- amgamer23, on 11/29/2007, -1/+5Hopefully one of them isn't sticking up funny, because I'd imagine a pencil in the ass doesn't feel too good...
- BryanJK, on 11/29/2007, -0/+4what
- SeethisPass, on 11/29/2007, -0/+4You'd be surprised. Note there is no sideways pressure to bend or break the pencils. I haven't tested it myself but similar types of support can hold much more than the amount of weight that any normal human might apply.Take a pencil and crush it ,if you can , by pressing _only on the length_ .now multiply that amount of pressure by the number of pencils in the picture.
It will probably support more than a thousand pounds, unless the pencils are sharpened, and then only the points would break. - RoroCo, on 11/29/2007, -1/+5Only on the No 2 bench... They can probably make a version with the fat blue pencils we used in 1st grade too... OK 7th grade :(
- fcukbush, on 11/29/2007, -0/+3Yeah, And maybe if, erm... Ah ***** it, I got nothing.
- PyrotekNX, on 11/29/2007, -1/+4Would you prefer "zany"
- CatsAreGods, on 11/29/2007, -3/+6What, do you save money by not spelling words with all the proper letters?
- skyfire1, on 11/29/2007, -0/+3One kick would ruin the entire bench.
- tnoy, on 11/29/2007, -1/+4"1,600 individually sprung rubber pencils"
- isntreal, on 11/29/2007, -2/+4"1,600 individually sprung rubber pencils" Does this not constitute it's own "suspension system"?
- Laxaloot, on 11/29/2007, -1/+3No, time.
- armada8800, on 11/29/2007, -0/+2I can't wait till the next model comes out where the pencils face the other way.
- sharpe27, on 11/29/2007, -0/+2Well, at least you don't hear a slide whistle when you click on the story.
- OgniAsuob, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1Cool idea, great design. I love it!!!
- skyfire1, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Pencils use graphite nowadays.
- Xinareiaz, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1I don't know..64 on the long and 25 on the short, looks like 6000 to me :|
(and yes, I know it was a joke, but It got me curious enough to do my own count) - ChromaVita, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1My bad... Sorry guys. Didn't RTFA. I apologize.
- MerryMortician, on 11/29/2007, -1/+2they.. just don't look wacky to me.. the pencils that is.
- PhaseSix, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Wow, those pencils would probably break on some people... Other than that why not just by a normal more comfortable chair?
- mcfly1204, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1I am constantly amazed by those who visit Digg. This is interesting how? Take a bench, drill numerous holes in bench, place one pencil in each hole. Final step, verify that each pencil is pink and blog it.
- code_of_life, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1anyone else misread this as "pencil brush" ?
- mcfly1204, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Maybe that's something you should ask your dad about?
- fcukbush, on 11/30/2007, -0/+164x25 looks like 6000 to you?
- ManufactrsDfect, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1We need more design submissions on digg. ive heard enough about mac vs pc ...
- mbuckingham, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Where can I buy this...too cool!
- Farmer77, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Good luck trying to clean in between the pencils and getting the crud out. That's as big of a germ trap as those dirty keyboards you will find in a Manhattan Burger King Internet Terminal.
- Defuser, on 11/29/2007, -1/+1When did "trendy" become a code-word for "stupid"? I pity the guy that exceeds the tensile strength of the pencils, and ends up with a wood-and-lead enema.
- OohJanet, on 02/21/2008, -0/+0wow - who would have ever thought...a pencil bench...i must say..i would be a little scared to sit on it and it go up my butt..however i dont know if I like the pink so much.
- highstriker, on 11/29/2007, -0/+0Nope. But- you break, you buy it...
- romantic101, on 12/23/2008, -0/+0I don't think they will sell it.
Thanks
