- sporkmonger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That said, it's genuinely a nifty product. It gives you a lot of the power of embedded ruby, but without any of the security risks since it never does any calls to eval. The idea is that businesses will be able to create custom templates with embedded code that can be safely run without worrying about script kiddies messing around with the servers by uploading malicious templates.
It's an elegant solution to an annoying problem. - cfitzpatrick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The guys at Jaded Pixel have a knack for innovative design. 'Vision' isn't the only great advancement I've seen come out of there. E-commerce is practically a senior citizen by now (in 'Net time), but yet it's still been clunky and difficult for the average person. I think Jaded Pixel is seriously going to change that. Their main product, Shopify, is really slick.

spammy - punkboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0looks cool!
- synthrabbit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't wait for Shopify. Ecommerce software packages are lingering non-standards-compliant dinosaurs still cluttering up the web.
