- daRoach, on 10/12/2007, -3/+53Or anthrax.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+52Not letting the people keep the cash is lame. They should have stuffed it with candy or something then.
- knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+471 Ipod, 3DS Max, and a few hours.
- gr00vy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+41Honda ad was hardly most "creative". The Jobs ad, and the security glass way more creative.
Though my latest fave is...
http://www.adverblog.com/archives/img/papajohns3.jpg - Fireinthedisco, on 10/12/2007, -3/+38damn glass :D
- mazza558, on 10/12/2007, -11/+47I still think the Honda advert beats all.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+34as opposed to all the great stories you've posted?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30Nonsense! They should let the people who broke it keep the cash. If the security glass was that great, then it should hold its own. :P
- nzknzknzk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26Wow. The glass one is amazing.
Like having a man with a bulletproof vest and a gun to advertise kevlar :) - lordkuri, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21pfft, Cog still rules them all
- TannerLD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19But that takes all the fun out of it.
Like the honda commercial "Cog" - why do it with a 3d modeler when you can do it for real? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18You mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlMhFOwozoQ and not with the )
- jpcoombs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18Creative brits.
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16I could have done it for nothing.. assuming I worked for the in the shop that had all the iPods lying around..
- Ben - maorezer, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20I could of done the ipod one for 200$.
- notorious., on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Apparently not all the money in that glass case is real. I had some guy speak to one of my design classes and he said only the top row of bills were legal tender, while the rest were blank.
Still, a pretty good ad. - joe90210, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13how the hell is the ad with the iPod creative?
- sdrawkcaB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12damn glad that dumb NY manhole/coffee cup ad wasn't in there. Seen it enough times already!
- Chmura, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15Honda commercial beats them all. I don't see why that iPod one is on that list.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13I love the glass and the honda chorus, but where is the famous honda cog commercial? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlMhFOwozoQ)
- grow, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11The only ones I really liked were the first two. The 3M security glass one is by far the best.
- Gullop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Personally I thought that latest Honda ad was a step down from the cogs one.
- chiefwahoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Now that is a creative ad.
- Kallius, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Personally I think the Evolution of Audio ad should have ended with the message on the cell phone: "DRM has determined that you are not authorized to listen to this song." But hey, they always stretch the truth in advertising, right?
- mky5439, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I dunno i still think that the Carlton Draught Ad Beats all of those on the list.
I wonder why it wasn't on the list?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=B3xBk-qOjpQ - gert2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+61984?
- Sonizel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5not it wasn't
http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/3m-security-glass-ad-170504.php - olddirtycr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Uhm... the honde chorus one was pretty boring.
Audio was alright.
3M glass was amazing. - Daedalus81, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I kinda liked the cardboard stippers on lamp posts. Don't have a link anymore though. : (
- ptrcd003, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The 3M ad was slightly misleading. If they trust their glass so much, why wouldn't they allow a person to keep the money if they managed to break it? I understand the guard being there in case anyone breaks the rules, but if someone did manage to "legally" break it, the money should be theirs.
- Klaue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4unpimp my auto were my fav ads
#1 = http://youtube.com/watch?v=weNuRCAPmxo
#2 = http://youtube.com/watch?v=ABHY4T1A6-k
#3 = http://youtube.com/watch?v=aM6zcwGdDF0
#1 is my fav - grumpyrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I would say:
Carlton Draught - Big Ad:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjOlvRttee8
Bigpond - The Great Wall of China:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvlWQyvEI38
Carlton Draught - What every man needs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptGf4sGv2EE
Hahn Premium Light - What?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXt2gLJQ-Mw
There is also a brilliant add for Honda Jazz based on Thomas the Tank Engine, but I have no link. - digger_twit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NV-leqXlQ-o - this is is awesome.
- drgruney, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5@Sonizel
"not it wasn't"? I hate to be a grammar nazi but I don't know what you meant.
To save everyone the trouble of checking the link... there was only $500 in real money there. The rest was fake. - resplence, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Come on the iPod one is lame and badly done. I didn't digg it when it was first on digg az "amazing" and I'm certainly not gonna do it now, in some stupid Top 5.
- noreturn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Most creative? Not even close. The first two were interesting and unique, but the rest were "good" at best.
- heyitsme23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2anyone see the new yahoo recall commercial?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Owu1rhgqGvI - super_spyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i would have made the top layer real cash, but the rest fake and let whoever keep the money
- reva, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Some pretty good ads there, I think some of the ones featured in the One Show beat them, though: http://www.oneclub.org/os/os/showcase/?year=2006
- prockcore, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbjDj3G14YI
Nutrigrain - I feel great. Still my favorite commercial, even if it never aired on tv. - spadgos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2twtmc: is it this one?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s678cE6YArI
Spike Jonze's Adidas ad with Karen O singing. - MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+21, 4, and 5 are the only good ones. Where's "The Cog" commercial? You know, the one where there are a bunch of car parts set up in a domino effect, but not exactly just domino style.
I also thought the ipod advert with the shattered glass leading your eye to an ipod with those hifi speakers thing was pretty clever. - mythealias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1how about if i just uproot the whole glass case and take it somewhere i can figure out how to open it :)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not so creative...
http://adverts.edu.org/ - Mikecol, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I liked the coffee machine ad myself. I'm surprised no one else mentioned it!
- incu_vamp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The 3M one was actually pretty deceiving. They had one here in Vancouver and only the first layer of bills were real, the rest were just paper.
- thomashallock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dugg only for the honda chorus and the 3M security glass and the job-perspective ads. The other two were kind of lame. iPods as dominoes was cool, but definately not top five material.
- MicrowavedH2o, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah, Honda Cogs is better than the accapella ad listed here...
- adamk0310, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why does Europe get all the cool commercials??
- digitalsmash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the honda ad was creepy.
