- fantafanta, on 01/03/2008, -3/+14This is great. I really enjoyed the "300 Free Icons"-page, because I am always looking for icons. Can“t get enough of them.
- amerz, on 01/03/2008, -2/+8I love when other people do the thinking for me.
- YuriArcurs, on 01/03/2008, -3/+8Study this! really good collection of resources.
- kupa, on 01/04/2008, -0/+3Not to sound like an ass, but what exactly did you expect from an article posted to digg in the design category? I don't know about you, but when I see the word "design" on the internet, I usually jump to "web design" seeing as I'm not reading a newspaper or magazine at the moment.
Newsflash: Just because you maybe into print design, either officially, as a hobby, or whatever, doesn't mean the rest of us are. Besides, I don't know about you, but I can't recall even 10 articles from '07 on Print Design... much less 50. - mrblue182, on 01/04/2008, -1/+4thanks for the post. I'm new to CSS, and I was trying to figure out how to get rounded corners to work, and after searching through there, i finally found it
- annabegonia, on 01/03/2008, -3/+5Awesome, thanks :)
- aiAlex, on 01/05/2008, -0/+2Overall it was a nice list.
- TubaTechno, on 01/03/2008, -1/+3You are the Top Douche of 2007.
- cadmiumpaint, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1alot of free fonts are also poorly redrawn knockoffs of legit well known fonts. You usually run into problems with them in the postscript side of things. They aren't high quality are aren't a full font.
- cadmiumpaint, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1i'm shocked someone on digg reads EYE! lol. too bad it costs like 30 bux an issue or else i'd get it all the time. I agree there is too much emphasis on making pretty effects and very little actual design principles.
- mesarah, on 01/10/2008, -0/+0Really good collection.
- centran, on 01/04/2008, -1/+1I agree that this is for web design. Some design aspects carry over to both web and print. However, I like how one article states that print designers are vastly different then web design and if you do print don't try to do web design. God how I know that is true. I am not saying there are not people that can do both but those who do not understand and are willing to use different mindsets for each should just stick to what they are good at.
Also, don't knock free fonts. Some are very good but you have to be careful because some "free" ones you need permission or to actual pay for when used commercially. - heyitsgarrett, on 01/04/2008, -3/+3Buried as spam, only because all of the early comments are bleeding bought diggs
- ThunkDifferent, on 01/04/2008, -2/+2iThink sports have more allure until CES or Macworld... http://Thunkdifferent.com
- cadmiumpaint, on 01/04/2008, -0/+0the word "design" is thrown around too freely. I object to it being used in the context of....how to make some lame 3d FX in photoshop... thats not design. There are all kinds of facets of design...web being one. There are also dozens of really really good design sites out there that encompass everything.
- LinkyD, on 01/04/2008, -2/+2I like this,thanks for share!
- inactive, on 01/07/2008, -1/+1I'm starting to hate these lists, I just bookmark them and never go through them, because there are too many
- ravimohanv, on 01/07/2008, -0/+0very resouceful list

- jsblechman32, on 01/04/2008, -2/+1Thanks for the post crestock. I'm currently designing a website and these guides will come in handy for sure.
- TheSesom, on 01/03/2008, -4/+2Great, comprehensive collection of fantastic works.
- interlude22, on 01/04/2008, -4/+1Fair enough comment here. Have a read of the winter edition of Eye (design magazine) they had an article about the classic web 2.0 'design' issue that has surfaced in the last few years, clients asking for the 2.0 look. It seems that all the buzz around amateur internet designs is focused on glossy logos, shadows and horrible bubbly icons. The element of design for the internet I enjoy these days is designing as it were print, users no longer need giant flashing buttons, they understand that you can click on the mousey sign - so.... will the trends move away from this tacky bubble style and its 1001 tutorials to accompany them.
- cadmiumpaint, on 01/04/2008, -6/+2Buried. Misleading title. This is best of web design list and it seemed to be aimed at amateurs and self taught types. All of the basic color theory things you get in your first semester of art school. There was hardly anything applicable to print on there....ok so you give a list of unusable freebie fonts that no print designer would ever use on a pro job.
Secondly these design posts always turn into FX tutorials... becoming a master of effects does not make you a good designer. I didn't really see posts from the better design sites that have carry real weight in the industry. - tehmark, on 01/03/2008, -10/+4Top of 2007 posts are *****!

How about setting a background-color on your ***** website
