- jggube, on 01/07/2009, -5/+13I'll vouch for Evernote, this app alone is a good reason to get an iPhone. ShapeWriter looks way too fun!
- suspect23, on 01/07/2009, -2/+9I agree. Very unfortunate that Apple doesn't just provide these applications as downloadable through the App Store.
I have a solution for you; download them from the App Store.

I tried the Lite version for a minute and bought the full version shortly after. It's awesome to be able to control your desktop/laptop remotely when you can't be tied to your table or desk.
- lordsandwich, on 01/07/2009, -0/+5I prefer Jaadu VNC myself. Unlike most remote desktop apps for the iPhone it has the mouse cursor hovering separately from where you're actually tapping, which makes for a much more precise click. It also has the most complete keyboard mapping I've seen, and does a better job as a remote trackpad than Air Mouse.
The only downside is that it's a whopping $25, and I'm not sure what possessed me to buy it since there's no Lite version. But I'm sure as hell glad I did. - brettg102, on 01/07/2009, -0/+4Got it for sale for 5 bucks a few months ago. Agreed, it is a beast, even over ***** EDGE.
- granolajoe, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3That's the only thing keeping me from getting it. Maybe I'll splurge sometime, but it'd be nice to try it out first. Otherwise, I can't really compare with Mocha VNC.
Oh and another downside to Mocha VNC is that the area isn't fixed (if you use it, you'll know what I mean). The desktop environment sort of "floats around."
It'd be great if you could zoom in and out as needed, but the desktop environment should remain fixed within a border, like Safari does. - TimFrost, on 01/07/2009, -4/+621*
I know I'll get dugg down but at least I'm right. - MindStalker, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2As a developer my favorite apps are FTPOnTheGo, and TouchTerm (ssh) Sure you can't do much work with the tiny screen, but they have saved me in a pinch a few times.
- HolyChimp, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Byline syncs with Google Reader, Instapaper doesn't, so you could argue that Instapaper's Google syncing is no where near as good as Byline's. ;)
- mrBitch, on 01/08/2009, -0/+2Larger track pad? You mean you want a larger iPhone?
Also FTA:
"PixelPipe : a free and fully loaded photo sharing app that lets users easily send and geotag their photos to any of 50 supported destination sites including Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Seesmic, Facebook, FriendFeed, Tumblr, WordPress, and FTP sites."
That is a great little app.
Also FTA:
"Byline allows you to read the latest news from your favorite sites and blogs on your iPhone or iPod Touch, even when you’re offline."
Insta-paper does the same thing BETTER, and it's free (insta-paper lite, which has all the insta-paper features minus some colour customisation abilities).

Otherwise, is there any chance we can cool it with the babyspam-poweruser crap? - JackpotCity, on 01/09/2009, -0/+1you guys are classic, this is why I love Digg.
- ibneihsan, on 01/09/2009, -0/+1MrBabyMan should be MrAppleAssLicker then it would have been much better! :D
- gumballer, on 01/07/2009, -5/+6quick, someone make an app that automatically buries MrBabyMan
- jhk115, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1Actually I was talking about the virtual track-pad in Air Mouse. They should have made a functionality to hide the keyboard. Currently it takes up half the screen at all times.
- dystra, on 01/07/2009, -2/+3do some of those first comments seem fake to anyone else?
- hydrovibe, on 01/11/2009, -0/+1Evernote is an app I've come to use daily...

- FreddieD, on 01/07/2009, -1/+2I'll give you a thumbs up because you had the courage to stand up for what you believe in.
- jhk115, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1I just got Air Mouse and it is really good. I just wish the track-pad was larger.
- FreddieD, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1I get very nervous when I see a link to a picture that is being dugg down. Do I click it and risk seeing something along the lines of one old man performing fellatio on another?
- chrisrenfrow, on 01/07/2009, -0/+1I think Jott is no more (for iPhone anyways)... It's like it never existed. Not in App Store and Jott's iPhone section is gone.
- GothAlice, on 01/08/2009, -1/+1You obviously don't consider Mocha's performance problems or screen resolution cap a problem.
- freelance4money, on 07/06/2009, -0/+0Binaural beats looks really cool for a chill out after a day of working like a loon.
- cmsjustin, on 01/07/2009, -2/+2No
- mrBitch, on 01/08/2009, -1/+1@ Brukhar RE: "Awesome list of iPhone applications for jailbroken iPhones."
You idiot, you don't need to jailbreak your iPhone to get these apps, since the apps are all from the App Store.

- microbeard, on 04/03/2009, -0/+0I am surprised The Directors Bureau Idea Generator is not on there. It is the perfect tool for anyone creative, director, graphic design, advertising, art, etc.
- diskit, on 01/08/2009, -0/+0sign me up!
- annjay, on 01/07/2009, -5/+4Amazing list. I personally think that these are must-have apps for designers. Great collection.
- dbsanfte, on 01/07/2009, -4/+3Yay, more apple related BabySpam. Useless.
- Malik112099, on 01/07/2009, -3/+1Where is Installous?
- Destinyx3, on 01/07/2009, -5/+1If I had an iPhone, some of those apps would be great for reminders when I'm away from my computer to make sure projects get done (:
- Chance2124, on 01/07/2009, -6/+1Awesome list. These app lists are like crack!
- nazsco, on 01/07/2009, -6/+1There is no iphone apps for anyone, only for macfags.

- Brukhar, on 01/07/2009, -14/+2Awesome list of iPhone applications for jailbroken iPhones. It's unfortunate that Apple doesn't just provide these applications as downloadable through the App Store, and that instead they are making people void their warranties just to be able to use their phones to the fullest capability.
