- Error601, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21Isn't it wrong to use a tired old cliche to reference innovative thinking? I'll try thinking to the left of the tuna sculpture.
- nelwa, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15A pretty useless article...don't waste your time reading it.
- Elohir, on 10/11/2007, -7/+18...because it's too uninteresting to garner comments?
- Hemingrubbish, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9The box is a metaphor Locke.
- namezod, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8zzz...
a bunch of random buzz words slapped together doesn't make for an interesting article - MDrake, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I'll think outside the box by NOT thinking outside the box. Oh ho ho!
Just kidding. - chris9902, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6That Guy: I'll handle this, Fry. You get back to the farm, shift some paradigms, revolutionise outside the box.
- jgreene777, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6crappy blurry webcam pics of the designers
stupid ideas and pointless endeavors summed up with a trite meaningless cliche
a chance for a reporter/journalist to stroke the hands of their designer buddies
buried as lame. - jschrab, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Its been my experience that designers have been taught for so long now to Think Outside The Box that when it come time for thinking *inside* the box (constraints of materials, time, resources - even virtual ones) - they ... can't do it.
I respect people who can come up with solutions under constraints - thinking inside the box - more than those that can come up with solutions ONLY when they let their imaginations run off the deep end. - Spankov, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5If only there was some evidence that people think inside the box before trying to think outside of it...
- PlaneLayz, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Why?.... That all you gotta ask. There's simply no point to this article at all... specially being on the front page!
- pezholio, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3That website's certainly thinking outside the design box too. THIS ISN'T 1997 PEOPLE! STICK YOUR FRAMESETS UP YOUR COLLECTIVE ARSES!
- nxtwrld, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4there is not box, neo!
- thebigdripper, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2i just wasted 2 minutes skimming over that article. i feel dirty.
- madmathmatician, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2@jshrab
as a student of industrial design i am already hearing about that folly lol - tony23, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The problem isn't the box, it's the thinking. That's what most people seem to miss
- Topher06, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1What a horrible report. I mean, obviously Business Week hasn't grasped the whole web thing yet. I couldn't find out what that first picture was after about 30 seconds reading the article and clicking on links. CAPTIONS on pictures, one of the first lessons any journalist learns.
- theOster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1obligatory comment abuse...

- jeffeb3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0The GoLoco Idea is a good one. I already signed up.
It'll be great, as long as I don't get car-jacked.... - shrock, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I can't believe I made it through the entire thing... that was terrible. nebody know why front page privileges were granted to this piece of work??!!
- hiPpymIck, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3that first picture is a game controller
FTA
". The result is the Falcon, a compact video game controller for PCs that allows players to experience textures and a truly immersive experience. The Falcon has three robotic arms, a base that houses the "guts," or motors, that drive the controller's movements, and a handle with a round, ball-like grip, called an end effector. The handle can be fitted with different grips, such as a gun for first-person shooter games. The arms of the device rotate and bend to mimic the sensations within a game, such as rolling over bumps or struggling through viscous liquid."
..is it over-designed.. - AntoineDigg, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3Amazing design ideas, can't wait for the real next generation of interactive tools/games.
