- threepio, on 10/12/2007, -2/+56Dude, the Razors are free. It's $300 for a blade though.
- Switch22, on 10/12/2007, -3/+24I thought the mustang ads were concept, and didn't actually exist yet.
http://www.idigitdesign.com/blog/2007/02/14/amazing-new-billboard-concepts/ - avcore, on 10/12/2007, -4/+22It's time we start a Digg Billboard Arson group.
- mst3000miked, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23IKEA: a no-connection-found page from IE, and the submitter concludes "looks like Microsoft Windows pooped out" -- does this guy even know what a browser is? Bury
- timdorr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13I think we need not only a pictures section, but a billboards sub-section.
- Digitalmarley, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12third time this was posted this year alone
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+117 is real. They had a whole bunch of them here in NZ a couple of years ago.
- The0, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10@redlemon
He reads the article. Says 'huh, I thought that one was a concept.' Referring to THIS ARTICLE. You say 'you ***** moron, nobody ever said it was real' in response to his comment. His comment being about THIS ARTICLE. Therefore, you're also referring to THIS ARTICLE. That what THESE COMMENTS are referring to. Thats why they're under THIS ARTICLE. - Miniman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9The comment about microsoft isnt really valid, it looks like there internet/Internal server pooped out, not the computer.
- quami16, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8How long do you think that razor stayed there?
That's too good to pass up. - milo3600, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6The best Hell Pizza billboard ever came out within weeks of all those No.7 God style ones appearing all over New Zealand . The exact same style, saying: "At least I deliver. -The guy from Hell".
- anotherkenny, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7The first bald eagle lawn, brought to you by Bic.
- Caleb83, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Not exactly a legit billboard, but it might make you feel better if you think #7 was bogus. Not to mention old as hell.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v478/ducttape83/glts.jpg - anitab83, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Switch22 - thanks for pointing that out! I just changed the text in the billboard post (I'm the owner of the site) to reflect that it's just a concept.
- GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10They need framework because the material is usually paper. Plastic can be especially durable, so they could use very durable plastic with clear framework to prevent it from blowing away. Although it is only a concept ad for now, it CAN be done.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11I don't really get how that is a funny let alone remarkable billboard...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Well, there is a digg for ads only: http://advertlover.com
- SLYK, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8@ redlemon & The0
both of you shut the ***** up - satch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5How the hell did this get 1000+ diggs?
- SultanTravi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Dance with the dead in my dreeeams. Listen to their hallowed screams.
- dRuNk3nIrIsHmEn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Yes, I have definitely seen this too many times.
Buried. - panique, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3This is all I came up with. Not the one I was looking for, but good for a chuckle:
http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2455/393/1600/ManhattanMiniStorage.jpg - TheCouch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i like chocolate millk.
- Cornedbeef, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The treadmill in a billboard would be a great way for a health club to encourage people to join up.
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The better one from Manhattan MiniStorage is a similar format to the one posted, but it has a picture of a woman's behind, kinda large (but not the variety Sir Mix-A-Lot sings about), with the caption "Does this room make my butt look big?" Sorry...tried to find an image of it on the web but failed.
- mrfreeziexp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What's up with all these billboard stories on digg? The first 2 were enough for me..
- mysticmcj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There is such a thing as non-digital photography... A goo dmedium format or hell, even a good 35MM can be scanned in at a much higher resolution.
- sgtiger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm not sure why the guy says he doesn't understand #8. One side is using the Max Factor eyeliner, one isn't. When it rains, which side do you want to use?
- grendel, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6I NEED MORE ***** BILLBOARD NEWS...MORE I SAY.
- anitab83, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm a girl, but regardless, now I get it ... thanks!
- h0dg3s, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Blog Spam
- sxtxixtxcxh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1when you're looking at a print from hundreds of feet away, you can get away with using way lower resolution. in the case of this ad, we're probably talking about measuring pixels per feet (or meters, if that's your bag)...
- GargantuanCoder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No offense, but is this really Digg worthy? To me this is nothing more than a email forward.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yes, the Mustang ads are student mock-ups. If you like such advertising here you can find plenty of amazing ideas:
http://adsoftheworld.com/taxonomy/media/ambient - Terc, on 10/12/2007, -14/+14That billboard is very fake, look at the shadow, also, explain just what is holding up that broad surface? Ever heard of wind? Bilboards have framework behind them to keep them in place. This is so fake that it's embarrassing that someone would think it was real.
- ThankTheCheese, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1any designers/printers that can explain how they take a photo as large as the one for #2 (giant adidas goalkeeper). I'm assuming it wasn't taken with a 5 megapixel digitcam ;) do they take multiple shots a stitch them together or is there actually a camera capable of those resolutions?
- AE86, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Finally a billboard post that is REAL. Now, ENOUGH of the damn billboard posts! Digg, please make a photo section.
- bovester, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3The God one is totally fake just look at the little pixels of white around the letters.
- cien750hp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1i think under the pictures section that digg needs, there needs to be a subcategory for billboards.
- Adrianne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0http://chicagobusiness.com/cgi-bin/news.pl?id=21278
This is a really cool McDonald's billboard in Chicago.
It's a sundial that casts a shadow on a different menu item every hour and ends with a perfect shadow of the golden arches at noon.
Took a lot of engineering to get it just right.
There is a video of it in action on the Leo Burnett website.
http://www.leoburnett.com/
(the site is all flash so I can't link directly, but just use the pencil to go to the 'I'm lovin it' section, then to 'I'm Lovin it Outdoors', 'Sundial') - AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -2/+1The interactive one seriously makes me want to get off my ass and go find one.. then sit and admire it.
/lame? Maybe.
/funny because it's true that we were all thinking it? Definitely. - soupyc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3God damn some people are picky. Does it really matter if he put the quote before the link? I mean in the long run? Does your e-peen look bigger?
- Radar5, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0There are some more ads by the guys who did the mustang concept that are pretty cool.
http://www.ianhartcw.com/ Look under work
FYI- the Skyy ads are NSFW - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+7"Hell - Too good for some evil bastards."

LOL. - CzescToJa, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm real sick and tired of seeing the same stories/pictures over and over again. BURIED.
- hammerpants, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Repost. Get a life.
- madnoh, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I found this in the comments FTA:
http://fukung.net/v/2541/liquor_in_front.jpg - mahdaeng, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1an update to the article states that the billboard is just a concept
- hooksie, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Digg needs a billboard section.
- hookshotzz, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5ive seen a lot of these on digg already
