- llamagorama, on 02/19/2008, -2/+27That SLEEP design would actually have me do quite the opposite. It's just standing there, watching me.
- rnwen2750, on 02/19/2008, -0/+17There were some that were neat, but all in all, they were just a bunch of rooms with decals pasted or painted on.
- ElBeh, on 02/19/2008, -1/+14Where's the Hello Kitty superdeluxe playroom?!
- ichchappycat, on 02/19/2008, -3/+11I wish it wasn't basically an advertisement for the one hotel in Copenhagen... There are a lot of cool hotels that have artwork in the rooms and stuff. For instance, MFM's The Block Hotels, located in Lake Tahoe and Bear Mountain are designed by snowboarders and the companies that sell snowboard gear (many of which are start-ups created by snowboarders)...
Here's the Delta 9 Room: http://www.theblockhotels.com/tahoe/thehotel/signa ... - kds405, on 02/19/2008, -0/+8OMG, I just wrote a poem! Thanks inspiring hotel rooms!
- Larz0rz, on 02/19/2008, -0/+6Why is this being dugg down?
Come on people, don't be so intolerant just because this man doesn't quite have a grasp of the English language.
I WILL check out your photos firstly, jjlovely88.
Stay strong Piccolo, stay strong. - rnwen2750, on 02/19/2008, -0/+5Yeah, that one is a bit creepy.
- thestorey, on 02/19/2008, -0/+4lol wut?
- lion1750, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3I'm not going to lie, those rooms would give me a headache if I stayed in them.
- 13AH, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3These are not inspiring, they make me nauseous.
- inactive, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3None of these are as cool as the rooms as Dream in NYC. Everything is super-modern and bathed in a blue light. My favorite place to stay in NYC - especially with a girl.

- bmerkl, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3artist's take on her hotel room's throughout the world: http://www.chainofthoughts.com/cgi-bin/pic.cgi?n=H ...
- ladyarcher85, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3The rooms were ok but I would not really call them the world's most inspiring or most creative hotel rooms. I've seen others that are much better.
- Accolade1, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3Dugg for the "SLEEP!" sketch by one of those beds.
- maxlightz, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I didn't like a single one if those rooms. Sure they'd be cool for a night... But not a single one would I want for my permanent bedroom.
- DurtyJ, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I like the pink splooge stain one at the bottom.
WTF? - mal1964, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I would love to your poem.
lol - mhaus, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2yeah.. all of the decals are ugly as hell too. I know they're supposed to be "inspiring," but one would think they could find some decent art work.
- thestorey, on 02/19/2008, -1/+3Lies. I bet you're fat too.
- joeblow1102, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2It reminds me that I have to visit IKEA.
- luet, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I have to say, these are really quite nice. Well some of them suck.
- rappadema42, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2the black and white one is pretty cool
- tiffany98121, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2reminds me of the winston hotel in amsterdam. i highly recommend it if you ever visit the dam.
http://www.st-christophers.co.uk/amsterdam-hostels ... - r00t3d0ut, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2these are amazing!
- nastajus, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2It would wear off.
- outofstep, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2only 2 of those could I actually fall asleep in. Far to busy visually.
- Larz0rz, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2It's the new "Freebird!!!"
- greenleave5, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I wonder how much the dark figure saying, "SLEEP!" would scare a kid.
Now to me, that's still a little bit frightening. - Gemfinder, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2Yeeks! Half of those rooms I couldn't sleep in if you hit me with Demerol. I hate hipster colour palettes...it's like the '70s, everything was avocado green, harvest gold and burnt orange. Except now it's lime green, pink and BLAZE ORANGE!!
- borez, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2Interesting, but I wouldn't want to stay in any of those rooms.
I'd like to stay here though: http://www.lemondehotel.co.uk/Sleep/executive.html - jonmlm, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2hm, was hoping to see a variety of hotels
- sayuwantarevolu, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2That thing on the wall three rooms down would scare the ***** outta me if I woke up in the middle of the night.
- gbro, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2These rooms would make a nice change from the usual Stained Carpet Room, Leaking Tap Room etc.
- davestar, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I was surprised that this article wasn't about the Propeller Island City Lodge in Berlin. Easily the strangest hotel in the world.
http://www.propeller-island.com/rooms_neu/room_det ... - Nougat, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2Why don't you get a job, Spicoli?
- mungk, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2This is a similar idea to the the Hotel Des Arts in San Francisco. They have many rooms that have been created by local artists.
Here's the page on their site with a list of the rooms: http://www.sfhoteldesarts.com/paintedrooms.php
I stayed there (in the Jet Martinez room). The hotel is quite cool as well as they bring in art exhibits which are displayed in the hallways and lobby and are occasionally rotated. Price is good too. - morningchai, on 02/19/2008, -1/+3Hmm... not really interested in sleeping in what looks like someone's blog come to life.
- violentvinyl, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2There was a reality show on G4 based around the one in Tahoe. After seeing a few episodes, I added it to my list of places I want to ride. Park City during Sundance comes first though.
- Nougat, on 02/19/2008, -2/+4The paid diggers above would disagree.
- MedHead, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I use a hotel room for sleeping. These designs would make it hard to do so.
- violentvinyl, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2What? No stains on the floor and empty soda cans and pizza boxes? Pshhh.
- Ludnix, on 02/19/2008, -1/+3I am disgusted by the amount of designs in this article that use the cheesy "target" that is far too common in vector art.
- qwertydvorak, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2this place is better: http://www.wildwood-inn.com/suites.aspx
- gimlik, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2Anyone else notice the midget stripper pole in the 4th pic?
- mal1964, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I know I'm stereotyping, but I'm seeing the wonder full creative rooms, But i feeling don't expect prompt service for anything else.
- arkavat, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2Themed hotel rooms?
Schrute farms FTW!
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g52842-d73 ... - emilystrange, on 02/19/2008, -0/+1Those rooms are creepy.. and they are not inspiring and as far as "creative" goes.. i guess it really depends on your definition of "creative"
- mknoll1, on 02/19/2008, -1/+2Way to read the article.
Rooms start at €120, which is cheap for Europe’s second most expensive city - earther, on 02/19/2008, -0/+1O M F G. I just want to go there and see what the people checking in are like.
"Welcome aboard! Authentic brass lanterns and seascapes bring a nautical accent to the burnt orange and blue decor. “Stowaways” will find the room furnished with two double beds." -
