- wattznext, on 10/10/2007, -5/+110Dugg for using "full stop" instead of "period."
- VirtualCtor, on 10/10/2007, -2/+71Dugg for the line: "One day, I am going to do the Queen in her Coronation Coach with all the horses, too."
O_o - 4fingers, on 10/10/2007, -2/+42Wow some really big novelty needles there .. Oh Wait
- arcooke, on 10/10/2007, -0/+34I'm going to craft a giant needle, attach life-size figurines, and let people look at it through a telescope backwards. Same effect, and you can't accidentally swallow it. Everyone wins.
- jkharris07, on 10/10/2007, -2/+31That must take a lot of patience. Really amazing work.
- arcooke, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16"A powerful electric microscope sits amid the rubbish on a small paint-splattered desk." Electric, not electron.
- guythomas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17what's a wifelet?
- kindrobot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15It's like your wife, but tiny.
- Bricks, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17They say he finally made it big, but that shrugging Snow White still looks pretty small to me.
- JEWestbrookJR, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12My god. That is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. Rice writers ain't got *****.
- ApocOne, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11"So what is Willard's ultimate ambition? "One day, I am going to do the Queen in her Coronation Coach with all the horses, too." And why not? If you're going to think small, then think big."
Isn't she a bit old for the old slap and tickle? - championchap, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Full Stop > Period.
The word Full Stop doesn't make me think of a bleeding vagina. - craprock, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I can barely thread the goddamned needle, let alone build sculptures on it.
- TaylorSmythe, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Isn't it so cool, when somebody who has taken a lot of time to create something innovative, gets recognized? I'm very happy for this man! The detail on these pieces is shocking!
- arcooke, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11I've never heard that phrase used here in the US. It took me a second to figure out what it meant.
- crushfan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Because... Umm.. Some people don't have maps.
- alexrulez, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7got to see some of these in real life. you look through a microscope. its really cool :)
- neutralmind, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5do her.. giggity giggity giggity.
- scrag10, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8Ah... thats what they meant. Knowledge is power!
- FiP0, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7and uh I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and the Iraq everywhere like such as.
- LOUiSSCHiSM, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4His sculptures have included a Santa Claus and a copy of the FIFA World Cup trophy, both about 0.005mm tall.
If this isn't truly ASTONISHING I don't know what is.
The mind reels... - Pobotrol, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The 7Th Marquis of Bath enjoys a polyamorous sexual lifestyle with several women at a time, each known as a wifelet. He's had about 74 wifelets during his life. It's easier to do when you have £187,000,000 and a big house.
- h4ppymac, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4wow.
- tybris, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3A Java wife.
(bad geek joke) - shinaku, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Full stop is the correct British English term for a . where as 'period' is a word which American English invented.
- zizzy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3"It is not blowing me anywhere"
Haha, nice choice of words. - KingBabi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Old. This was in Nickelodeon magazine a long time ago.
God I'm lame. - carnag3aus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I see what you did there.
- 1337Einstein, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2If he's "The World's Leading Micro Artist" why is he just now "making it big?" Does that mean that he's the first and only micro artist who isn't a complete failure?
- Dorepoll, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It's not the reason why I dugg the article, but it's to hear the localised term on the website.
- Piedramente, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5Not sure. I think people just think it makes them sound smarter than they are
- mtbaird5687, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I saw this in person when i went on a tour of Lloyds of London and they had his exhibit there. Its so much more amazing to see it in person when you can look at the needle without the microscope and then with it. We even got to talk to the artist. He was a really nice guy and is very serious about his work.
- tybris, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Too bad they're just pictures. Would have been a bargain.
- gringer, on 10/10/2007, -5/+7I don't think his girlfriend would approve of that....
- cave, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Novelty, by definition, is something that wears off. Disney's Snow White's been around for almost a century. At this point I think it's safe to say this is pop art. It's not like he's sculpting the cast from Heroes.
- mcmlxxii, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Why would anyone leave a comment "Not impressed."? Have you in some way paid for this man's art and feel let down? Are you an established critic in the field whose opinion we should value?
- voodooray, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Some more: http://www.eyestorm.com/search/keyword/_/wigan
- PointBlank07, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2This guy had all of this coming, and he deserves even more.
- GawtMilk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2NEED MORE MAPS
- ElwoodHerring, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2So that's the guy who's getting my share!
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Ah, good point. OK, continue mockery.
- Klavert, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"One of the worst moments was recently when I inhaled Alice,"
- AkshayGenius, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3nobody gives a ***** if your not impressed
this guy put a lot of work into and needs to be appreciated.... - whoaohh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1This guy should be doing surgery.
- lorean, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I wonder if he could do a miniature Pamela and Lee.
- sQPha7e, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Oh how I wish there were scaled images.
- docsmody, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1ABC's world news tonight had a segment on this a few months back.
- Dorepoll, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Crapola - - Double post.
- FAPmaster, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I bet he solders well.
- sugarape, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's not often that there's anything worth reading in the Daily Mail, but that was great. He must have one hell of a steady hand.
