- hbyrne, on 02/03/2009, -1/+33Honey, I can't find the den. Have you seen it?
- bills534, on 02/03/2009, -0/+30Not nearly enough pictures. The article this link got its info from is way better with more details and pics. http://www.dezeen.com/2009/01/19/sliding-house-by- ...
- RunDiggMC, on 02/03/2009, -1/+17Does this mean I can brag to women about being sleek and sophisticated since I live in a mobile home?
- existentialduck, on 02/03/2009, -1/+8that looks like it could be really dangerous...
- Nouman6, on 02/03/2009, -0/+6sounds..LOUD?
- CTK14A, on 02/03/2009, -0/+6This looks like a fun way to prank house-guests.
- kevyn, on 02/03/2009, -0/+5I wonder if the owner has ever arrive home drunk and thought 'I wonder what this wall can crush...'
- buntee, on 02/03/2009, -0/+4I want to see pictures of the inside
- nshady, on 02/03/2009, -0/+3Now they're just getting desperate. Mixing transformers into the show? They should never have kicked out Cameron, Chase and Foreman.
- whitej, on 02/03/2009, -3/+6This is just an uncircumcised home.
- wjlaw100, on 02/03/2009, -0/+3What I want to see is a House that can transform into a Crime fighting robot, to save humanity!
- inactive, on 02/03/2009, -0/+3i foresee problems when that tree grows a bit
- Serinus, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2It'd be better without the glass.
- clickmyface, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2yeah, see, I thought the glass section slid out to add additional space. I thought that was really cool. But it turns out thats the only thing stationary, and the entire house instead moves to cover the glass segment. Art, sure, but kind of a stupid choice. Looks really cool though.
- christinme, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2i want to see a movie. These pictures get confusing and there is no clue to what it looks like inside when the house is moving. I really don't get the point of a moving house.
- benologist, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2The important thing is the submitted blog got the ad impressions.
- kgerm, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2hell yes,
imagine having a party with your friends and getting them really drunk till they pass out...
then switching it all up before they wake up...or while they are drunk, just keep moving the keg around, fun indeed.
aww man, now i really want one and a job to go along with it... - dannysun, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2Like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ_F-JLpCro
- kgerm, on 02/03/2009, -1/+3in Russia,
house slides you...
sorry guys, i just had to...Regedit made me do it... last one...
*from Russia - generalLEE, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2Nothing a chainsaw wouldn't fix.
- robbob, on 02/03/2009, -0/+2At first glance I thought the glass portion slid out
- sh4rk, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1I was hoping for a house full of slides (N)
- Topher06, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1So when it expands you have a big empty space in the middle of the house for no apparent reason, genius. Stupid is as an architect with an original thought.
- generalLEE, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1They don't have dens in England. ;)
- kevyn, on 02/03/2009, -1/+2and also this website is actually working...
- clickmyface, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1The glass part is bolted down, it's the entire house that moves. Not practical at all.
- skintigh, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1Finally! I've always said I wished I could pay a ton more for a house that would then have the ability to lose square footage.
- stronglikedan, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1Looks like a giant trailer.
- Greengoo, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1Actually I'd really like to see interior pictures... but I can't seem to find any :(
- areber04, on 02/03/2009, -2/+3WTF is the point of this other than showing off?
- Topher06, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1Or for $29.99 get my patented Canadian Energy Saver. Twist a plastic rod and these miraculous aluminum louvers open at an optimal angle to let sunlight into the room and heating it up. Then in the evening you twist the plastic rod another direction and the louvers close trapping heat in the room.
Also available an elegant split fabric sheet that "drapes" over the window and can be separated during the day and closed during the evening to block those nasty winter draughts. - xutopia, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1That's an awesome approach to housing. I could see some use to something similar to this in Canada where having more sunlight available during the daytime would heat up the house and closing that area from the cold at nighttime could save on bills. That's interesting.
- brian78347, on 09/20/2009, -0/+1I think it looks nice. but, like Serinus said, "It'd be better without the glass." I wouldn't live here though.
- g33b33, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1What do you expect...its a wicked house
- clickmyface, on 02/03/2009, -0/+1you are coming to a sad realization
- Skurt, on 02/03/2009, -0/+0Me too, I think it would be more economical and pleasing for the Glass part to slide out.
Less to move, more impact - sitting in the living room and push a button and you have a sun deck.
meh, I'm not an architect - i4ybrid, on 02/03/2009, -1/+1Does anyone else think this looks like a church more than a house?
- Sharky35, on 02/03/2009, -1/+1Build one of those in Tornado Alley.
- TheScreamer, on 02/03/2009, -1/+1Is is just a wide-angled lens, or is that house sitting inside a crop circle?
- PaulOwen, on 02/03/2009, -1/+1Honey, I've just smashed the glasshouse into the tree. Again.
Honey, can you just lift the south-facing aspect of the house - there's a stone trapped under the wheel. Again.
Honey? Honey? You weren't looking out of the sunroof just now were you ... ? - markbloomfield, on 02/03/2009, -1/+1its a matter of showing what can be done with a bit of creativity. the same reason why buildings in Dubai and elsewhere are so flashy.. they dont achieve anything extra special, other than look AWESOME and testify to the awesome designers & engineers behind the project.
- marleymar, on 02/03/2009, -1/+1He must hate sliding glass doors.
- ViralCoreX7F, on 02/03/2009, -0/+0That has to be the most badass house in the summer. It basically a giant sun roof that closes when not needed. You just don't get any privacy when its open.
- BingoPower, on 02/03/2009, -1/+1Good luck finding my mother in law. She could be in any one of the wall cavities.
- dhichens, on 02/03/2009, -1/+0And he's got some really nice bikes. Now I'm doubly jealous.
- mycoplasma, on 02/03/2009, -2/+1Yo dawg, I herd u like houses...
- foomojive, on 02/03/2009, -5/+3lame comments
- moduc, on 02/03/2009, -4/+2The architect probably have never seen windows, doors and blinds before.
- AmyVernon, on 02/03/2009, -4/+2Now THAT is cool.
