- flernk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21"etc" = Opera House.
- Chompy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Had I the money, I'd build an exact replica of the TNG bridge, right down to the sound effects, and that'd be my home theater. Maybe put it 50 feet underground so that I could take a turbolift down to it. /nerd
- kylesellers, on 10/12/2007, -17/+26digg me down
- kenvsryu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Nice home theaters but what about spending a little on camera equipment. Those pictures look like they came from a cell phone cam.
- MisterEd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Here is a great gallery of Home Theatre systems: http://gallery.andreas.id.au/home_theatre.html
Some great ideas and concepts can be seen in the pictures. Great source of ideas if you are looking at setting up your own home theatre. - YoungDeezy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Here's a few more pics of the Opera House.

In fact they ALL have tiny screens/ - Figgy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The Star Trek bridge is a classic:

And the opera house has some plush seating, gotta get me some of that

- windwaker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Holy crap! The batcave theater is my neighbour's! We live in Palo Alto, and Nick has worked on that project for two years now, almost. I've been in there!
- Chompy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"Dunno, the batcave one has such a tiny screen. Kind of defeats the purpose!

Yeah, anywhere from 110 to 132 inches, it's like living in the dark ages. - Fascist, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4But there's only three!
:( - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I tend to disagree entirely. The Batcave and the Death Star home theaters aren't something I'd want to sit down and watch a movie in. I think the Opera House tends to exude the theater setting much more appropriately.
- BloodShed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I would like the Opera House better if Statler and Waldorf where seated in a balcony on the right ^_^
- nffy212, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3the link to the star wars theater is not dead, there are just two .com's in the url
http://www.dillonworks.com/portfolio/starwarstheater/index.html - DaveTheBrave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Cool link. Thanks!
- Vicken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2well, since the batcave picture is the only one that seems to work now, I choose........Batcave.
- Spelvin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2And the info on the site is incorrect:
The Bat Theater uses a Sony G90 CRT projector NOT a "102-inch LG plasma display"
And its a 110" screen... - verstohlen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The Opera House is awesome. I dig the old-style movie house look.
- KingLeo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah I love the Opera House too.
- imdwalrus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The link to the Death Star theater's source is dead, FYI, and Google and Wayback aren't turning up anything useful.
Anyone know why they put it in the article, then? - reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow it looks absolutely amazing, though for some reason the quaint setting doesn't make me want to watch a movie in there.
- DArangio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't want a room in my house like that. I NEED one.
- EddT81, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I really wish I hasn't seen that Star Wars one. Now my damn creative juices are flowing and trying to figure how I could do that. DAMNIT! hahaha.
- fiberspy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Holy humdinger Batman!
- scratched, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Those are good, but where is the Star Trek Enterprise home theater? It was on slashdot and (I think) digg too last week. That should have definitely been there.
- Grimshaw9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Omg I just Splooged!
- dougm68, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i don't know bout that, That Star Trek room was pretty F'in cool.
- cfrazier, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The Death Star rules!
- slowmo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The Death Star room was designed/produced by a company here in Seattle Called DillonWorks. It is was designed by Doug Chiang, who was the lead designer for The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. It resides in the home of Vic Wertz, Director of Product Development, Star Wars Fan Club and Lisa Stevens, President of the Official Star Wars Fan Club. They own a publishing company called Paizo Publishing which specializes in magazines aimed at audiences interested in role-playing games and other gaming-related hobbies. Their bread and butter is Dungeon Magazine, the quintessential D&D monthly publication.
Go Figure, eh?

http://www.dillonworks.com/portfolio/starwarstheater/ - biiscit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It should be noted that these are the ultimate "themed" rooms as there are significantly better home theaters out there.
- Chompy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, I've seen that; frankly it looks like crap. Besides, I said TNG, not TOS. The TOS bridge holds no appeal for me.
- windwaker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have been inside of it, and I must say, it is quite nice.
- Vision77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Damn, I wonder if I can get a government grant to build one of these.....
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1BATCAVE FTW!

You could have some cool parties in those rooms. - petroK, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@ Chompy
I take it you haven't seen this:
http://www.reighn.com/theatermain.html
I'm surprised it wasn;t on this list - aywwts4, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Meh, I want to see a home theater the equivalent of that Audio Room dugg earlier last week. These screens are pathetic.
I will digg a home theater with a perfect picture, an Imax sized screen, built for excellent 7.1 acoustics, great sub woofers, perfect viewing angles, great seats, every playback device and every gaming device, colored back lighting, the works.
These are just expensive themes, give a geek a million dollars to go to town. :) - Axim, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4man if you gave a geek a mil you know he would spend it on buying the love and friendship of women and not av equipment true story
- sunchild, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3It looks like crap. Waste of time and money. Pass it on.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Oh yes, you've become physically dependent on something you don't even have. I hate it when people say they need something, except when they have a disease and need medication.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0had i the money, i would build a theater based off of transformers
- kingjokin, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2digg me down!!!!!!!!!!
- kingjokin, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Just kidding! isnt that ***** annoying!
- Hilton, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Ubercool
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1I dugg u down jsmith. Nothing is worse than blocking a spammer and then reading a bunch of messages referencingberatingtrolling said spammer and having no idea what they are talking about. So from now on, I will digg down anyone who talks about spam and I encougarge other people to do the same. Just hit the block button and be done with it.
