- slashbot, on 10/17/2007, -19/+14What a boring article
- crawf061, on 10/17/2007, -4/+39Typography is underappreciated
- Blooooo, on 10/16/2007, -0/+1So incredibly true, and might I say, the serif is under appreciated nowadays.
- xister, on 10/16/2007, -0/+1Well, sans is just a cleaner look. Serifs give a font an older look in my opinion. I can't imagine something like the iPod campaign using fonts that had serifs. Style of the times, I guess.
- gasin, on 10/17/2007, -0/+1So Typography is underrated/ under-appreciated? Either that or maybe you are not hanging out with the right crowd...
coz I think typography is a highly technical art form and is appreciated by those who pursue it i.e. Designers.
I mean are you telling me that "Ruby on Rails" not appreciated because everyday people don't blog about it. Its just a developers thing and stuff like that stays in their circles...
- Blooooo, on 10/16/2007, -0/+1So incredibly true, and might I say, the serif is under appreciated nowadays.
- OGla, on 10/19/2007, -3/+11Nice. I like big typo. But it takes skills. Hint: don't use Impact or Ariel as a starter.
- jaydotcole, on 10/16/2007, -6/+2I agree; be creative. Don't fall for the trap of using was has already been done.
- resplence, on 10/15/2007, -0/+2Hint: It's not Ariel.
- Blooooo, on 10/16/2007, -0/+1Agreed, Impact is the only font I despise more than Comic Sans.
- jellomizer, on 10/16/2007, -8/+1Oh Special fonts that cost a lot of money, and need to make them as images to use...
Not Helpful, for most people.- mrjit, on 10/15/2007, -0/+2No way, really, you mean this article is really only helpful to web design/developers/graphic artists? ARE YOU SERIOUS? I CANT USE TYPOGRAPHY IN WORD WHEN DOING MY RESUME? NO WAY MAN!!
- Chongo, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1You only need to do that when you STEALING the damn fonts. Buy them and show the creators you appreciate their hard work
- fujofly, on 10/16/2007, -4/+9Speaking of type, http://www.ilovecopperplategothicbold.com - This truly is the biggest type you'll ever need for anything. It's bigger than any other font ever created.
- xister, on 10/16/2007, -0/+1I DO like Copperplate, actually. It's one of the few serifed fonts I like.
- unfilterthought, on 10/16/2007, -4/+4Hard to find a non-designer who can appreciate Typography
- KSUdesigner, on 10/15/2007, -0/+1Everybody can appreciate typography, but it's hard to find a non-designer who excels at it.
- Unclickable, on 10/16/2007, -0/+3while we are at it, typography in music videos is worth a click http://yuxt.com/artist/Typography_in_Music_Videos
- Auto, on 10/17/2007, -7/+2None of these caught my eye in the least... in fact a few were too much. Buried as lame.
- pbaehr, on 10/16/2007, -2/+10Needs more Comic Sans.
- JorgeGT, on 10/16/2007, -0/+5http://www.bancomicsans.com
- Blooooo, on 10/19/2007, -1/+3That was the most transparent sarcasm on the entire internet, and you missed it completely.
I think.- JorgeGT, on 10/19/2007, -0/+1You think wrong. I added an useful resource to his attack against Comic Sans. Join!
- Blooooo, on 10/19/2007, -1/+3That was the most transparent sarcasm on the entire internet, and you missed it completely.
- JorgeGT, on 10/16/2007, -0/+5http://www.bancomicsans.com
- monospaced, on 10/16/2007, -1/+7I was skeptical, coming from a graphic designer's standpoint, but the sites cited are actually well designed using excellent typefaces.
- timjim31, on 10/16/2007, -10/+1I'm a little confused as to how this can be interesting to anyone
- camaroz06, on 10/15/2007, -2/+0umm....I kinda zoned out looking at the last set with ULTRA in bright pink.

- tombangski, on 10/16/2007, -1/+3no im not, I am a graphic designer. Just because something looks "trendy" does not mean it looks good. Aesthetically, there's a lot of things wrong with the mentioned page.
- kidcodea, on 10/16/2007, -1/+2damn right.
arch here :D
- kidcodea, on 10/16/2007, -1/+2damn right.
- QuickFix, on 10/15/2007, -0/+2I kinda like it myself. Reminds me of The Design Republic's work.
- resplence, on 10/16/2007, -0/+2It's just a blog list. You can make your own.

- toekneebullard, on 10/19/2007, -0/+3I hate stuff like this. It makes me wish I was a designer so bad.
- gasin, on 10/17/2007, -0/+1Smashing Magazine should be renamed Design101 Magazine.
It never dares to dwell beyond the basics of the design. I mean you are really gonna tell that big type works. WOW! Who would have thought of that. Besides, if I need examples / screenshots of sites with big type I will just go to digitalthread or any other site...
//undigg - x5pfif, on 10/18/2007, -1/+0Big typos...must learn how to do this stuff
- DOGPARTY, on 10/18/2007, -0/+1sure is funny to listen to people who don't know what they're talking about going on about design and typography
- junosama, on 10/21/2007, -0/+0In Design school they usually teach you how to design with typography before they let you use any images =) Then you move into word and image based classes where i went.
