  • JudgeMonkey, on 06/25/2009, -0/+21I wouldn't throw the word real around so much, but I did find myself hating a lot of the chess sets for just that reason. You want to look at the board and instantly see "Knight, rook, bishop, king, queen, pawn" without having to "translate" the board.

  • djchoongjae, on 06/25/2009, -1/+3I wonder if I can buy a $5000 carbon fiber bike, break down its parts, and pay someone to create an equally kickass chess set as the Renault F1 set. $50000 just doesn't seem like a worthwhile sum to pay for scrap F1 parts. Then again if I had a $5k cf bike, I'd probably use that more than a game board and pieces.
