- anada, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15sorry to say that the site you gave was not a good one, don't waste your time on it.
you should go this one if you want to save time and see the real css design:
http://www.w3csites.com/sites_thumbs.asp - cypher35, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11@usernamed
did you not see the duggmirror link in the very post you replied to??
people still do not seem to understand that you do not need the full url. all you need to do is link to duggmirror and it will direct you to the appropriate site by looking at the http_referrer. - TeagueSterling, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Yikes, 26 diggs and the site is already slow.
http://www.duggmirror.com/ (for what it's worth) The site is mainly images; dugg mirror doesn't do much. - oldtimegamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7marked as inaccurate. Most of these things are butt ugly.
- Takteek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Honestly I don't think some of them are that great... I have seen better CSS design. :
- manitoba98xp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I recommend Aptana: http://www.aptana.org
- whalesalad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Nowadays with CSS-centered design, there really isn't any drag'n'drop method to designing. On windows your best bet is Notepad2, and on Mac my favorite (and new favorite editor ever) is skEdit.
- podgey22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+580% of them are junk sites. I reckon this is just some pagerank stunt.
Grab a load of niceish sites and squeeze your clients ones in there too.
Example: laaiw.org (made non-linkable to stop more search-enging-fooling) - marksy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4some of these aren't even CSS, let alone visually attractive.
this is nothing compared to cssremix.com - jarod51, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Check out Aptana - http://www.aptana.com/ It's based on Eclipse, sounds very promising !
Oups, slower than manitoba :) - jamble, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I'm not sure why your perfectly reasonable comment has been given several thumbs down by people, some of those sites were truly rubbish and this "story" is indeed lame.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3So, with a gallery page of a huge list of thumbnails, it never occured to you that Digging it would instantly sink it like a stone?
Hey, where's the one-page, printer-friendly version of Flickr? Let's Digg that next... - whalesalad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2CSS Remix is the bomb!
- mjjack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dreamweaver is great, you just have to learn how to use it in code view. I love having the hybrid WYSIWYG/code view. You have to be able to code your own CSS though. DW can do some of it, but to do layouts you have to know it yourself.
- Brajeshwar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think it is already on the front page, I came back from my NetNewsWire after seeing it there (front page RSS).
- Svenson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1how is this getting dugg?
- wildleaf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1After finally being able to reach the site, I discovered most of the sites that are linked to actually look pretty basic, silly, and generally unmentionable. Thanks for nothing. That was a lot of work.
- DanAtkinson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Much quicker and pics load ok:
http://chinahtml.com.nyud.net:8080/lib/w3csite/ - Meep3D, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like Editplus personally. Its nagware but a bit more versatile than notepad 2 (it's got tabbing & ftp editing modes)
- aphoenix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think that what everyone is really trying to say is you should use vi or emacs. I'm not going to come out and say which one, but it's VItal that you use one of them if you're going to be serious about web design.
And for css resources:
w3schools.com/css
w3schools.com/xhtml - JugularBean, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Shouldn't a site advertising good design have good design?
www.cssbeauty.com has cooler designs. - ForbesBingley, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Sort of a cross between a Jaguar, an Aston Martin and a McLaren F1...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -16/+12These are FAR from the best designs I've seen. Take this one for example: http://www.physiosmile.de/
There's a few cool designs on that site, but definitely not enough to be worthy of Digg's front page.
Buried as lame. - usernamed, on 10/12/2007, -16/+7http://duggmirror.com/design/Some_of_the_best_CSS_XHTML_Designs_on_a_Single_Page
- aussieaubs, on 10/12/2007, -18/+2very nice, but are they practical for web 2.0?

What is Digg?
