- N3wtR0ckn13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11it's kinda sad to realize how many of those things you fill up.
- ahdustin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Duh, I'm retarded. :)
Here are other sites that will be coming really soon:
YouTube
Upcoming
PureVolume
Virb
MSN
Y!
I will also be making it so you can add your own and it will pull the favicon.
This should all be coming in the next few days. Look to http://www.dbachrach.com/blog/ for updates. - Fordi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6RRRRRRR... using javascript and tables where CSS and divs would work just as well. Dugg for the idea, but presently reimplementing for the failure to make it LJ/MySpace/etc friendly.
- huyvun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Why is it rubbish ?
It's very good ...... - Fordi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3http://www.elflord.net/Contactor/
Reimplemented using divs and CSS, and no JavaScript. AIM/Skype status is now used as the emblem. Unchecking/checking an item drops it to the end of the list. Updates example as you type, source as you move from one input to another.
Note: This thing is NOT a web 2.0 thing; it does no server-side work whatsoever. In the sense that it's dynamic, maybe, but I think Web2.0 requires server-side work.
Oh, and my version's ugly. - evancalkins, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Great resource. It is nice it allows you to edit the CSS directly on the page.
- cybe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, Javascript should be an option. Being able to change the order of the buttons would be nice too, and some additions such as StumbleUpon, ICQ, MSN + custom.
- booksoutloud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2how did you get this to work on myspace? the table shows up, but none of the links are clickable.
- MrSunshine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2A colour chooser would be nice.
- Fordi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2WTF?!
http://www.elflord.net/Contactor - apush, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Thanks for creating such a valuable tool to help the spamers
- Brajeshwar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Use of TABLES have made the code a bit dirty. Could have been well accomplished with just DIVs and standard CSS. Nonetheless, this is a simple solution and a nice one at that.
- Mootabolife, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3blends in well with the rest of myspace..................
- LordSkywalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sweet. This will be a great way to allow me to keep track of all my online identities. Thanks.
Edit: Dude, you did MyTunesRSS? Double thanks! I love that program too. - Fordi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Reimplemented:
http://www.elflord.net/Contactor - Yashar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Digg color scheme:
Header Color: #1B5790
Hover Color: #CCDEAF
Header Text Color: #A7BED4
Row Color: #CCDEAF
Border Color: #A8A8A8
Normal Text Color: #325B0A - srgsemachine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I like it... just a pity I'm running out of space on my site :) Nicely put together though.
- ahdustin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey fordi,
I just finished a whole bunch of work tonight. I worked with some css experts, and they rewrote a whole bunch and came out with a really great css style sheet and a javascript-less table-less and div-less way to do this (even better than your way). So look for this to be up really soon. Thanks for your suggestion to move to CSS. And BTW I liked some of your javascript, so I picked from it a bit for the update, hope you don't mind. - ahdustin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1coming really soon
- mlstotts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1With most of us having different usernames at many sites it's useful to point out which one's are "ours." Some will like the self-hosting option, something wink.com's widget doesn't have. Seems a shame build your widget if it doesn't help people find you. I do like how wink widget is tied to their people search engine though.
- luxuryluke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually, Dustin asked me to do a xhtml css version, you can find it at http://lukedorny.com/widget.html
It doesn't use divsoup like some of the other examples here, and validates, and is semantically correct.
…not to kill a dead horse, but there it is. :)
(oh, btw, it's the initial release version, so you'll have to edit your own code.) - pierromarie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nice widget - thanks for this !
- craigosbourne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2sometimes its nice to have access to the private beta, nice one. well done
- rcran, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I think it's interesting how we on digg travel to flickr and youtube and transform into our other identities while we view our photos and videos... Unite!
- JennWeaver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What, no MSN username option?
- SummySun, on 02/14/2009, -0/+0here is really cool site for webmasters!
http://www.lifetimelink.net - moft, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4willynilly - so true.
web-coding diggers should just start a 'digg code' site - what ensues in the comments is usually rambling and irate geeks trying to tell everyone how much they know with some name-dropping put in to make it interesting.
buried as lame. bury me too, if that makes you feel better - DarkSpoon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0one stop shop for on-line predators. very nice.
- nba1388, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I really like this addition to my myspace, it's really easy to navigate and it has an extrememly intuitive user interface
- asics, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Really kool stuff. I already have it on my desktop.
http://www.asicsshoes.us/ - abalith, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Amazing. I've heard about this month ago, but I can't remember where exactly.
- marysam, on 03/11/2008, -0/+0Great resource
- forteller, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I think Wink has a better solution to this. Better code, I think, and you can add your profile from anywhere, not just from their set list of websites. http://wink.com/
- angusware, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1too bad i;m only on Digg, youtube and gmail.
- gatekillr, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2What Rubbish!
- robfarrell, on 11/27/2008, -5/+2Surprised that YouTube isn't on there.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4Whatever its merit, it's thoroughly undermined by the use of the ***** term "Web 2.0".
There IS no "Web 2.0".
A-duh.... - msm1488, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1yeah, if you know at least how to turn on a computer, it's very useful
