- mimigins, on 12/02/2008, -5/+891I wonder if it's depressing to these women to see how they get "fixed" on magazine covers.
- CCoe, on 12/02/2008, -63/+768In Soviet Russia, model retouch you!
- Georgy, on 12/02/2008, -10/+377I don't get it, why do magazines have to retouch unattractive women to make look attractive.
Everyday i walk on the streets and i see no shortage of beautiful females(and not a single one will talk to me) - identityxcrysis, on 12/02/2008, -25/+357Ironically...she doesn't look attractive either way.
And the 'shopping is so painfully obvious where her hair meets her body. - P1um, on 12/02/2008, -7/+269I call the one on the right, you can have her sister.
- thunderfish, on 12/02/2008, -24/+252Aaaarrrrgh! My Eyes! My Eyes! The goggles, they do nothing!
- kiwi2008, on 12/02/2008, -1/+178try wearing pants
- kingbinji, on 12/02/2008, -6/+170except id still bang her sober
- mareksoon, on 12/02/2008, -1/+162Cover editing has really come a long way. All of those words that weren't there before ... beside her, in front of her, behind her ... different fonts and colors, too. It is almost as if she were really surrounded by all of them. WOW.
:| - Dgen_X, on 12/02/2008, -2/+157The cocaine helps them cope
- heynow21, on 12/02/2008, -3/+157I don't think she's hot in the retouched photo either.*
*Still far better than anything I could get. - GMofOLC, on 12/02/2008, -2/+132You don't make it to the cover of a magazine without knowing that you will go under the Photoshopper's brush after every shoot.
- Jooshbro, on 12/02/2008, -2/+132Photoshop till she's pretty!
- aliHG, on 12/02/2008, -14/+120fapfapfapfapfapfap.....fap, fap, fap.............fap......................fap :(
- jtmitl, on 12/02/2008, -4/+101Think twice before you fap to that poster girl on your wall.
- identityxcrysis, on 12/02/2008, -2/+94*****...we need Soviet Russia back. That's my only hope for ever being touched (nevermind retouched!) by a model!
- Rumdizzled, on 12/02/2008, -12/+100All you diggers would still screw her. Don't front!
- adrenalmedulla9, on 12/02/2008, -3/+88The more I stare at her bent knee, the more I dislike it.
- gmanolatos, on 12/02/2008, -1/+72Bu the magazine is in Greek....oh wait, I see what you did there.
- sdellboy, on 12/02/2008, -1/+67Yep.
Thought twice.
*fap* - ExRe, on 12/02/2008, -6/+68The ugly ones are probably a lot cheaper. Maybe even someone who works for the company.
Tip: Don't wait for women to talk to you, go and talk to them. - spookyturtle, on 12/02/2008, -4/+65Using the word females to describe women seems a little off, you're not on safari.
- inactive, on 12/02/2008, -1/+62I imagine the one of the left has undergone some 'shopping, too. No one goes into a professional photo shoot with no make up and bags under their eyes like that...
- 2of8, on 12/02/2008, -5/+61They're not flaws.
- aplusbi, on 12/02/2008, -1/+56I would definitely NOT hit that. She is well below my standards - just look at her sharp knees!
- brett1337, on 12/02/2008, -8/+57im going to pretend i didnt see this
- EricOfTheJames, on 12/02/2008, -0/+49 As you can see . . the cleavage is real.
- colourclassic, on 12/02/2008, -2/+47I prefer firefox.
- killdeer03, on 12/02/2008, -0/+42so what you are saying is that three hours of photo shop is the equivalent of six beers?
Yeah i'd say that is about right.... - junglist1319, on 12/02/2008, -4/+44The 'before' pic represents a woman that the average Digg user could only dream of shagging.
- rww5000, on 12/02/2008, -5/+44She looks better after they made her look better
- Rossta, on 12/02/2008, -1/+39The fact that it makes her appear so much skinnier and unblemished makes it all the more repulsive to me.
- hobo343, on 12/02/2008, -1/+37should i mention that this appears to be greek and not russian or does that matter at this point
- ProKid, on 12/02/2008, -0/+35Photoshop goggles.
- kiwi2008, on 12/02/2008, -4/+39This only goes to show how completely unattainable those 'magazine model' looks are.
Hopefully the millions of young women who obsess about being too fat / too ugly get to see the before picture and realise it's a crock of *****.
30yrs + just photoshopped off. No wonder cosmetic surgery is booming. - smacksaw, on 12/02/2008, -2/+36Safari? That pretty much describes going clubbing.
- OneLess, on 12/02/2008, -0/+32Just put a little bit more air in the doll, it smooths out the wrinkles.
- graeh, on 12/02/2008, -0/+31It's not just the model the designer is fixing - the lighting for the shot was poorly done, creating plenty of problems with the models appearance.
- konstantinos88, on 12/02/2008, -3/+31It's actually Greek haha
- haroonie, on 12/02/2008, -1/+29UP AND AT THEM!
- sanman, on 12/02/2008, -13/+41what about summercusp? is she re-touched?
if not, can I touch her? - ceredron, on 12/02/2008, -0/+28To be honest, when you look at a magazine, you know exactly what you're getting: photoshopped glamourized versions of the truth (in this case, the truth is a woman). I realize the point of the submission is to highlight just how different the real picture is from the photoshopped one, but did you expect any less? I mean, hell, they airbrush Scarlett Johanssen for her to look good enough for magazine covers. Do you know how ***** beautiful she is?
I wouldn't mind real women in real photos in magazines, is all I'm saying. Real is beautiful. - TVarmy, on 12/02/2008, -3/+30I still think seeing every flaw indirectly pointed out to you by these shops can be depressing.
- capnawesome, on 12/02/2008, -5/+32I was with you until you had to majorly douche it up with the Dove comment--you realize that by complaining about that you're a shining example of America that will accept nothing but perfect size zero models?
- lacrimosa2008, on 12/02/2008, -0/+25http://www.spiraloz.com/unrelated/standards4wn.jpg
...and my favorite:
http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/3757/aaasherdogne ... - Supernova36, on 12/02/2008, -0/+24Because when you put the beautiful ones under harsh studio lighting with the intention of brightening everything up to make it easier to photoshop out flaws, they too will look like that.
- lorem1000, on 12/02/2008, -1/+25I've dealt a little with retouching models, mostly for mutual promotional work (TFP). So far every one seems to love it. They know what reality is, and spend a lot of time trying to combat it, for better or worse. Digital magic seems to be welcomed as a much easier way to achieve the end result. It's probably lengthening their careers.
- ExRe, on 12/02/2008, -9/+32Please define "model". Otherwise...
