- madpainter, on 07/04/2009, -0/+12It's what is wrong with Digg, has been wrong with Digg for a long time, and will eventually be the downfall of this site. A group of diggers get together and blindly dig the other's submissions in return for the same favor. That was not the intent of this site when it started, but its the way things work now. Unless you play the game you have an extremely low probability of ever getting one of your submittals to the front page. I doubt even one of the first 90 + diggers even bothered to look at the article.
So Kevin, when are you going to change your algorithms and submittal process to check a diggers recent browser history, to at least make sure the digger clicked through to the submitted site before they can digg it? Doesn't seem that hard to do. And Kevin, don't just sit there and do nothing. You are going to start losing people like me, a loyal digger for some time now. This isn't a social network where members promote stories of interests, it's an oligarchy.
Either Digg changes, or we all should start leaving the site and badmouthing it on every blog or website when we get a chance. The social network this site was suppose to champion could be the very thing that brings it down. Wouldn't that be ironic?
- Robozilla, on 07/04/2009, -2/+13Smells like spam.
- moliver21, on 07/04/2009, -2/+8100 Diggs and not a single comment? How does that work?
- ZebZ, on 07/05/2009, -0/+6PR masquerading as an article. Meh. It completely lost me at "you probably want to lean more on new Web 3.0 social media tools."
Web 3.0 != Facebook. That's not even really Web 2.0. That's... using a single website. - ZoomBoy, on 07/05/2009, -0/+5He paid 15k for that site? Poor guy.
- funkywood, on 07/05/2009, -0/+5Well you made it onto Digg front page. Well done Mr PR Man./s
- drgmdp, on 07/05/2009, -0/+2tastes like spam too

- sarixe, on 07/05/2009, -1/+1Someone got paid 15k for that site? Son of a bitch.
(I got paid $100 to make this: http://www.swingtimefamilyfun.com/ ) - mikemehak, on 07/05/2009, -1/+1guy seems pretty clever.
He probably wrote off 15k for that website. This hooplah just helps him come audit time. - lex0nyc, on 07/05/2009, -4/+1F- you. I read the article, then dugg it.

What is Digg?
