Awesome. - flap, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5I wrote a review of the first private beta. A lot of the things I thought they would have fixed or improved by now are still missing or broken.
It doesn't look to hopeful and I doubt many people are going to submit original images, rendering Picli useless. - nignog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4So many haters!!

I get all my fixin's at: ircimages.com (humor and pr0n) and you can comment on the pictures ;) - coopa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It might be whiny but Beta used to mean pre-public release, not the new style "everyone is welcome to our 'beta' and when they whine, we can just say it's beta!" that Gmail introduced, but then even Gmail from early on was still user-friendly and nicely designed.

- adame, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3The tags and categories (tabs) are not functional. I'm a fan of the concept but they've done a pretty bad job with implementation. The graphics are the top are deplorable. The whole site seems very poorly designed too. There's nothing at all on the homepage about how to submit or rate images. The login form, visually, is also abhorrent.
Why launch before everything is functional? Digg's picture section will pwn it. I can't see Picli taking off. - wirah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Id like tag search as soon as possible though. That could be great!

Picli has been public for less than 9 hours and people are jumping the gun here, they've already stated in their blog that its going to be changing constantly and that they only launched early to get as much feedback as possible.

- Kface, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I think Picli is great and shows a lot of potential. All the images I've submitted to it so far, have been my own. I have also seen a lot of wonderful original photos from other users. I think the source function is great too. A lot of sites have users that claim to have submitted their own work, but in fact it is stolen art. At least with Picli, it gives you the option to show where the art you have submitted has come from and showing someone else's work and why you like it, isn't taboo! I like the design of the site, it's simple and effective. Not too much clutter. The name and logo are easy to remember. In my opinion the site has a pretty relaxed atmosphere. I know that sounds ridiculous because it's a website, but I'm sure some of you have experienced internet websites where some of the users regard themselves as better than the others. There appears to be none of that childishness on Picli. I think some improvements that could be made are maybe an "About" section at the top of the homepage so that people who don't fully grasp the idea of Picli, can understand it better. Also, get those tab sections up and running ;) Apart from that, I think it's a lovely site. It's in Beta stages so I'm aware that it's not living up to it;s full potential right now, but I'm confident that it will. What with the amount of sites I've seen start off slow and then get better and better. Launching to the public in Beta form is a good idea in my opinion. It's great the public can test it out now. More people = more feedback = better website! Well done to the makers of Picli!
