- CanceledCzech, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15So he could get the second spot?
- TenebrousX, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16Anyone who uses Photoshop can figure this out easily...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13Wow, now we can all turn mundane things different colors and call them art :-P
- metalmallow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I hate how there are so many filter-whore tutorials on the web. They don't improve anyone.
- flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -12/+18or you could just use photobooth.
- sembetu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I was hoping for something more original than this one. Something like soup cans or something would have been good.
- kuyakew, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5wow that Warhol piece is great, but is one of the most over-used and over-reproduced images in the history of all mankind. most people have never even seen it in person. completely sick of it.
- deluxndotcom, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7This is a lame tutorial, do people really not know how to do something so simple in photoshop?
- Matt-lars, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I find it a lot easier to do that with the stamp filter.

It is Pop Art. Pop Art is a stylistic movement - Postmodernism is a theoretical movement. Warhol's work is stylistically Pop Art (which to note also had its own theory and ideas working behind (as most visual styles do)) and falls under the larger umbrella of Postmodernism.
For another example of such occurring in Art's history - Picasso's (most widely known) work is Cubist - Picasso's art is also Modern art. Idea and form function together - form generally also creates its own subset of idea. - Champzilla, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@Slashriffs
Would have been nice if done with some style and taste. - Yodacola, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That is what I thought too. Plus, Andy Warhol's prints like Marilyn Monroe Diptych show much more detail than that. http://images.google.com/images?q=Marilyn%20Monroe%20Diptych
That is a really pathetic tutorial. Definately not a gem.
By the way, it isn't pop art, it is Postmodernism. - evand22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0how bout this one? http://digg.com/offbeat_news/The_Hitch50_Photoshop_Challenge
- anonymous1337, on 04/24/2009, -0/+0Nice tutorial but I'm pretty fed up with all these popartifiers in peoples pictures.
Not as original as the originals: http://www.artinthepicture.com/artists/Andy_Warhol ... - r3z0nate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You gotta be kidding me, I like photoshop tutorials but I figured this out the first day of using photoshop.
