- mrfreeziexp, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Don't go to the site! It installs spyware on your computer!!
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Using photoshop to make smilies is like using a bulldozer to build a sand castle.
- webtech, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8oh really? this is the most lame comment I've ever read here.
and it's not important if I know or not to make animation it's about users on digg that don't have nothing to do except making non relevant comments all over digg. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Great, just what we need in this world. More animated smilies.
- rauz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Direct link to tutorial in order to avoid the spyware...
http://www.3delavnica.com/ucilnica/photoshop/video/20_smiley.mov - Grimdotdotdot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6£500 of software (not including the OS), and what do you do with it? Make a Smiley.
Good job! - econofast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Marked as spam - maybe Digg needs a "Spyware link" bury option?
I guess it's the same thing... - rauz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3You can get the spyware on any browser using Windows if you were stupid enough to open any exe-files included in the archives with the templates.
Which I'm hoping and guessing you didn't :) - flameboy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Is that guy's voice computer generated?
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Much more fun...? Oh, right..
Anyway, this tutorial is okay, the guy doing it could have done with a few more practice runs before recording, as theres a few things done slightly oddly, like cut-to-new-layer to split the 1st frame mouth, which should be done by simply making a new layer..
To the people claiming this is spyware, thats rubbish, it's a quicktime .mov file, with no .exe files, there is NOTHING that could install spyware (short of an extremely elaborate, cross platform, cross browser exploit..). The siteadvisor thing is probably scared by "smilies", since a lot of smilies seem to want to install via a spywarified executable, which is just silly. Why is it showing up? Most obvoius reason, Fasl positive : http://www.viruslist.com/en/glossary?glossid=153654932
But for paranoid people, as Rauz's comment says, direct link :

- Ben - SoupsMan, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5Spyware? Good thing im running OS X today.
- bbdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease tell me you can only get the spyware on IE... I was using Firefox.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2what else is there to do in Photoshop? Edit photos? Phfff...
- bbdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh, I didn't even know there was templates. I thought the spyware was hidden in the cache or something. Thanks for the heads up!
- crawfishsoul, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Site installs spyware! See mrfreeziexp and gonephishin's comments below.

Should be of no surprise, smiley's and spyware are a match made in heaven. - lunarworks, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Instead of making an animated smiley, why don't you just shoot yourself in the head?
Seriously. - Pootle4rthur, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Two things, one to legally get a copy of photoshop to do something like this is a huge waste of money,
and more importantly, has anyone ever seen a website that has been greatly enhanced by the profusion of animated smiley faces, they look even more tired, annoying and stupid than they did when someone first had the rubbish idea of adding them - jblade, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Spyware, anyone know where the smiley_template.psd can be found?
- Trention, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Spyware... bury this.
- Rayza, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I think it would make more sense if that was the case..
- Pootle4rthur, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0it didn't try to install anything on mine, though it might if you're silly enough to not have firefox with the noscript extension installed
- sfacets, on 10/12/2007, -29/+3This is stupid. If you don't know how to make an animation you shouldn't be on digg.com.
