- YodaJones, on 05/14/2008, -3/+2None of the above. They all suck.
- blogginguy, on 05/14/2008, -2/+2I agree, they do all suck! BBC and NPR all the way.
- soulpunisher, on 05/14/2008, -5/+2I would pick Yahoo News...they seem to be okay
- monsterette, on 05/14/2008, -2/+3...agreed: clean layout, & navigation and content are important in maintaining an audience. Yahoo, CNN, & BBC... different viewpoints....
- WSMmike, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2I like CNN News because of the inclusion of user-generated content.
- wild, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2I don't. User generated content is really uneven and almost always biased. I prefer a standard of objectivity to where I gather my news. (Save Digg, which is fanboyish but at least entertaining.)
CNN has bigger problems than CGM though. They are showing a real bias to interfere with politics by "updating" certain stories so they stay towards the top, while letting larger, more qualified stories slip away into the bottom. They also seem to be using a lot of emotion based language on their site lately.
Shame. They used to be my top source of info.

- copaceticZ, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2I only go to CNN mostly because they are the only site i know of that has a Live News Feed. I watch it all who needs cable when you have Free CNN! Jackpot it's all i would of watched on cable anyways!
- greytfriend, on 05/15/2008, -1/+6I do like BBC for the different perspectives. They actually consider the whole world in their World sections. Wild idea. But for the purpose of this comparison, I like Yahoo. Fast headline reads with lots of sources.
- jeremydhorn, on 05/15/2008, -1/+1did you like the older bbc or the recent update to the bbc website better?
- wild, on 05/15/2008, -1/+2I love the BBC. I also love NPR. It is a shame more Americans don't have the patience to get their news from those two places. Its generally a longer read (or listen) because they do their due diligence and fill stories with facts. They don't seem interested in the attention grabbing headline, but rather hold a belief that the news is interesting enough in itself to not need sensationalization.
- jeremydhorn, on 05/15/2008, -1/+2That seems to be a common theme. BBC has been doing some good things and been paying special attention to usability and overall user experience that I enjoy, too.
- MrColdheart, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4I'm an avid MSNBC reader.
It could be much better.- jeremydhorn, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1what would you change about msnbc?
- mbonzo531, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1Not much of a review imo. Could have gone a lot more in depth.
- Memesink, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4I'm feeling more and more like a very old man for getting my news from a daily paper & sometimes (rarely) the television.
- wild, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1Don't feel old. I am 28 and read the paper everyday. Because newspaper writers have a set publishing time, getting the exclusive means having the best facts tomorrow. The reporters can spend their time gathering information and craft the story for best comprehension. With the web, its downfall is the desire to be the first site to post a link, often with poor information and little detail.
- Ch0chi, on 05/15/2008, -2/+4I use theonion for my daily news source.
- jeremydhorn, on 05/15/2008, -2/+1lol
- Jennica, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2CNN has his really weird feature where you can turn headlines into a t-shirt. Some of them are really strange.
