- EmileVictor, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I see this on apple.com.au, but I can't find it in the source. It's really awesome though.

http://www.mediahug.com/ - zweben, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Doesn't work in Safari.
- unholy1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very cool!
- inkswamp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"another fad for design lemmings"
True, but it's also another possibility for real web designers to exploit in creative and unexpected ways. - EmileVictor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Can you change the parameters of the reflection? I.e. length, opacity, angle?
- emblym, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yea no Safari support.
- Viper007Bond, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet.
- seweso, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Php version (with source): http://www.seweso.com/blog/2005/10/reflectionreflectie.php
- aywwts4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0.exe Version "C:Program FilesAdobePhotoshop CSPhotoshop.exe"
- rompom7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0JavaScript version would be more usefull than the PHP version, as you could do live calculations (like if there is a mouse hover replacement image), movement, effects, etc.
- slack0re, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0what are people doing fooling around with this stuff.
they need to stop using javascript for this ***** - iceblink2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I know how to design. So stfu
- sunnyboy06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's not like it's radioactive, people! Let people experiment with what they want; people can then take it and advance on it. Not to mention that the example in this digg is unobtrusive javascript. Javascript is a very powerful tool in todays web, but it's seen as bad because of security.
- mortrek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Not just security...
Can anyone say 'popups'? - Kiltak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that's cool..
- nouhad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0We need to ban all trolls from Digg..
digg+ - Coreguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0cool...
is that available in IE? - h2d2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0No Digg. Until the code works seamlessly in IE too, this is useless. I am designer and as much as I like "Live Bookmarks" I design for IE, not Firefox.
- plamoni, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0coreguy: no... :-(
- Flynnz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0great a useless effect that cant be rendered on the browser that used by 85% of the web population.
Also...since when did cheese javascript effects become cool again? This has always been a no no by serious designers. (and with good reason)
no digg for the cheese factor - invader, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i have IE6 and FF1.0.7
this doesn't support IE or FF - sunnyboy06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Put a comment on the guys blog!
- Klowner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@invader: IE doesn't even have the canvas tag, that's why it doesnt work, and saying it doesn't work with firefox, notice it says Firefox 1.5 (the version in which the canvas tag was added, not 1.0.7).
@h2d2: Tell microsoft to implement the canvas tag, Safari and Firefox have it. - WillyWonka, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Um why not use a png and the ie7.htc to get it working in IE 5/6? No javascript needed and it works in far more browsers.
IE7 HTC: http://dean.edwards.name/IE7/ - WillyWonka, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Um why not use a png and the ie7.htc to get it working in IE 5/6? No javascript needed and it works in far more browsers.
IE7 HTC: http://dean.edwards.name/IE7/ - h2d2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The canvas tag is NOT A STANDARD. It's only available in Safari and Firefox 1.5 both of which combined make up for less than 15% of web surfers.
So lets just drop the double standards against IE... first you troll it for having so many non-standard tags and how you want it to INCLUDE a non-standard tag just because your favorite OSS browser supports it. - peregrin641, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Works in Opera 9 Preview, but the reflection does not scale with Opera Zoom.
- phineasgage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2stuff like this is great as it makes more professional graphic styles available outside of Flash. Flash is great, but is still proprietary. Nothing cool ever works in IE, which is why serious designers make web sites that degrade gracefully and are optimized for any browser.
Drive people to start using FF and newer browsers in general, but have a site that degrades nicely. There is no need to hate on browsers. - goldrake70, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0No digg for a useless effects.
- goldrake70, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0No digg for a useless effect.
- Ramble, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For people who think that this could easily be done in photoshop, your right. But as the coder pointed out, if your going to use it as it was designed - dynamically - it's going to save you a hell of a lot of time.
- griz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This effect shows a distinct similarity to the effect Apple uses in iChat. Surprising it is not supported in Safari.
- Guspaz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Reported as lame. Look neat, but doesn't work in IE so can never be used in practice.
- thecoolestcow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"i have IE6 and FF1.0.7
this doesn't support IE or FF"
Ugh would people RTFA for once? It says Firefox 1.5, which supports canvas script. IE6 doesn't and never will have anything cool like that, and it just came out in FF 1.5.
Can people RTFA please? - mikeazorin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"i have IE6 and FF1.0.7

Tool! Use a less inferior and god awful browser than IE! And upgrade your Fox! - pulssart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My photoblog " http://www.pulssart.yi.org/ " use canvas effect and scriptaculous (web 2 style script) . But work only with safari and FF 1.5 Mac/pc ...
