I'm starting a new politics website, looking for help!

p.opul.us — I want to put "the people" back into politics. I started a website named Populus to do just that. The trouble is: I have tons of great ideas but not much time to actually implement them, and nowhere near enough money to pay people to do it for me. So I thought I'd come to the digg community for help. Take a look and see if you like the idea!

  • LarianLeQuella, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I'll digg you. :) I too am no good with design and such. Although, as of late, the political atmosphere out there is just too tense for my tastes. Even though there is a lot of middle ground for people to hold political views on, it seems that only the people frothing at the mouth are getting out there and discussing things. And those of us that are more moderate are getting drowned out.

  • agibson95, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I tried a similiar thing ( http://www.myspace.com/equality_party ). We even had a presidential candidate. Somehow Kory Clarke was on board to run with our party. However, my time was short and all the people that had asked for something like this didnt want to help much. Its still out there and a homegrown political thing is cool, but if you dont have a lot of time and money, its a hard thing to get going.

    oh and you do realise that if your site is actually democratic it will be overtaken by liberals, as right wingers are the minority now?
