- jknevitt, on 10/12/2007, -2/+62Somewhere in South Dakota there is a mountain that looks like the face of four US Presidents. No iPods though..
- sundancekid503, on 10/12/2007, -5/+41I saw a picture of that once... fake... it's definitely photoshopped

- attila, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30I don't know why your comment got buried, that's exactly what I thought when I saw the image.. he's got little earbud headphones in :)
- Genthree, on 10/12/2007, -4/+30My question is why is there a road through the mountains leading to a large hole in the ground? Seems a bit fishy to me.
- sundancekid503, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think these "tunnels" you speak of typically don't go vertically straight down into the ground.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24Its Doctor Evil's hideout!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21and I thought it was going to be a Dell Call Center.
. . . I am indian so I am allowed to make such jokes - sputza, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20@testify
Its not an oil well. There is no way that can be an oil well of that size. Not to mention, there is no pump station or anything else that an oil well would have.
I think its a hole where they throw dumb people who think the hole is an oil well. - acedeuce12, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18Sorry. . . but as an enrolled member of the Sault Ste. Marie tribe of Chippewa Indians, a sovereign tribe recognized by Michigan, the U.S. government, and Canada, the preferred terms is American Indian. Native American is certainly acceptable. Aboriginal American or Indigenous American are perhaps the most accurate terms. I think the people who make an issue of this are ridiculous.
- tainedhero, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16Just like the face on mars.
This is just proof that there is intelligent life in Canada! - jknevitt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Hi giant Indians.
...
Could you teach us how to make giant corn?!? - DoodlesMcPooh, on 10/12/2007, -9/+23Maybe they meant someone from India? I am offended you have not been taught about the existence of countries outside of the US.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17I think thats an aerial marker for a huge new casino.
- filth, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15Why would there be an Indian's face on a mountain in Canada? Besides, if it were really someone of Indian descent it would probably look more like this:
http://tinyurl.com/y345kv - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14I still don't believe you...
- asauterChicago, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12I for one, welcome the Giant Indians to our land.
- steelmaverick, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15I'm just wondering....how the hell do they find this stuff?
- HeaDiggrNCharge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11It looks sort of like the profile of King Tut, minus the beard...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10It's a dude.
- alecperkins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"It's a mountain."
Hey, whatever floats your boat. - wicketr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10I'm just wondering....how the hell do they find this stuff?

Have you ever gone, "Hey I'd like to see my house from a satellite?" Well people in Canada can think of this too. And after they realize their outpost is in the ear of a giant indian (feather. not dot), I'm sure word gets around.
If that were your house, wouldn't you post the link on digg? - themarq, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9As long as we're splitting hairs, I might as well point out that natives in Canada might take offence to being called Native AMERICANS what with them being Canadians and all that.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7No, only you see it.
PS. You're a nutter. - Cymrubeats, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=paris&ie=UTF8&z=19&ll=48.856583,2.347011&spn=0.00135,0.003388&t=h&om=1
That ones crazy, it looks like a bridge spanning a river. - cjsedwards, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Woh that's just east of the Hat!
- themarq, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8That's not in the mountains. The mountains are about a 2 hour drive from Medicine Hat (the nearby town).
- mathmanjeffy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8The correct term is whatever each individual tribe wishes to call themselves.
Apart from that, if you want to be neutral and refer to an indigenous people, the pc term is "indigenous peoples." Really, though, replacing one made up name for a people with another one and calling the new replacement "correct" is just plain silly. - scumby999, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7And native americans would be in America.
Since this is in Canada try First Nations or Aboriginal. - kizzbizz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8http://www.duggmirror.com

it's not like they are called NATIVE UNITED STATES AMERICANS... - mercurysquad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Yeah. Some surf digg.com in free time, like you and me. Some look up random places on Google Maps. To each his own!
- CraigJ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Well I dunno but if you head directly south theres a big black hole about 20m x 50m??
Looks like a pond to me. - hardran3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I live about a half hour drive from there. Might have to go see it :)
- sinfree, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8Grrr... DuggMirror seems to be slipping.

- MedHead, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8I still think it's ironic that the same nationality who protests against the enslavement of their people chose as their nationality's title the name of the land given by the enslavers.
- happybew, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5yes.. native americans are from america..
that includes NORTH america. duh - TinMan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Zoom out. You will see another one to the left and up just a little.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5'more "feather than dot"'
Sagard the Indian you are awesome! - Sagard, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10Doodles....What are you talking about? If you know something about my level or education, or the extent to which I have traveled the world, please, by all means, feel free to comment on it.
I'm Indian, and I think I'd know what the stereotypical Indian and stereotypical...in this case, it looks to me like a Sioux warrior...what they look like. And this seems to be more Sioux than Indian (or...to bring it down to your level...more "feather than dot").
>>Sagard - gondoi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think that the funniest thing is that in the article they say... "...like someone in our comment section said..." Well, there is only ONE comment...
Guess they were expecting a huge turnout - Tetraca, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Now something on Earth can go with the face on Mars.
