- JakeX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5This is kinda obvious... like yonis said up top.
Any CSS designer should at least realize that... but none the less good article written I guess for people that don't know any better.. (or css for that matter and just play with it to make it go) - Vironex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Thank you, Christ-bot 900 Pro. Thanks for not making Christians look in-your-face or anything.
- yonis, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6I don't mean to be a troll, but I'd think this would be braindead obvious to anybody who would be messing about with the CSS in the first place.

- pledomobil, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Unbelievable! Very Doubtful.
- cpoteet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1^ Looks like a pain to implement.
Try my plugin http://www.siolon.com/2007/persistent-styles-plugin/ to achieve a similar effect but much easier. - snowedin07, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4This is great. Thanks!
- javajunkee, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Good source of info. I'm even trying out his 'Cutline' theme right now. Simple, clean, I like it.
- JeremyL, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3I like it. I'll probably use it with my next project
- waltonics, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I don't actually use wordpress and may actually be an idiot.. But, why wouldnt you just have your own custom stylesheet full stop. end of story?
I mean, if you upgrade, your css will be overwritten, but wouldnt you just have a local copy to re-up anyway? Any significant upgrade to the software that uses different class names would surely break your "custom" labelled body anyhow?
(and maybe I should add that any decent framework Ive used would always look in a "custom" folder for customized files before grabbing the defaults anyway..) - dreameyn, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I heavily modified Cutline theme for my site and I find it more intuitive to make changes in the original theme stylesheet rather than making a new .css to overwrite them. IMO, if you heavily modify a theme CSS you're likely to have it your way for a very long time to come and most likely won't need to upgrade your design (it's not like there's security hole compared to software upgrades).
Anyway, if you customize CSS alot for your WordPress site you might want to look at my plugin called MyCSS, which will probably help you implement what Chris mentioned in his post more easily: http://www.channel-ai.com/blog/plugins/mycss/ - niuyue, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Thanks!!
