Are you ***** kidding me? The title doesn't say much about the actual contents of the article. Buried.
The title DOES NOT say it all!!!!!!!111one1 - kylesellers, on 10/25/2007, -1/+9If the "Title Says It All", there really isn't much need in me CLICKING on the story, much less actually digging it, now is there?
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -2/+9I think normal people still look for photos on stock photography sites. Doing it through Flickr seems too difficult, because you have to negotiate with the owner of the photo.
- 1800collect, on 10/25/2007, -0/+6Or sell your photos at:
istockphoto.com
fotolia.com
shutterstock.com
bigstockphoto.com
etc. etc. - ddegner, on 11/01/2007, -0/+5If someone approaches you on Flickr to buy your images make sure that it is at least $500 in image, any less and they are ripping you off. If it is a good image ask for $1000 and this is for one time publication rights, keep your resale rights.
Don't let a company screw you just so that you can see your image in print. It isn't respecting you and it hurts other photographers that try to make a living from photography. - smithchr, on 10/25/2007, -0/+4I think you're exactly on the money here. If you truly want to get your images sold, publish them to a stock photography site. Prices I've seen are reasonable (yes, you pay to put them in the stock photo library) and they're much more likely to be sold. If the buyer likes what you've got, you have some additional photos on Flickr that you're willing to be more negotiable with on price. Stock photo sites are, for now anyway, still the way to go. Especially with all the low quality shots on Flickr. Weeding through them takes too much work for a buyer.
- kylesellers, on 10/25/2007, -0/+4What type of person butts all the text up against the left edge of the page?
- VaporBro, on 10/26/2007, -0/+3FTA: "It’s happening. In fact, it’s been happening for a while. But it’s happening quietly, and outside a few forums on Flickr, people aren’t really talking about."
Obviously people aren't talking about it. The author didn't even talk about it. - SuperCheese, on 10/25/2007, -0/+3Yeah, seriously. If the title said it all, we wouldn't need the article, now would we?
At least make an attempt to tell us what's in the article, why it's interesting... something... - benroy, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2nudity helps.
- iDealL, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2I love how this article cited a grand total of 3 photographs being sold, and then proceeded to tell us absolutely nothing. If you have some good photographs and you want to make some money, get a website and put up some ads. This is stupid.
- lateralus, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2If this involves self nudity, i've already tried. The results are mixed.
- tmnorris, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1Another site worth a look at is: www.redbubble.com

- stopbrorape, on 10/25/2007, -3/+4im guessing getting naked
- Lainy, on 10/28/2007, -0/+1I think its a great way to make a little extra, I've sold images through flickr and deviantart with the publishers contacting me.
- pltnz64, on 11/01/2007, -1/+2what a tool
- somody, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1deviantART > Flickr
- phatpat88, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1Exactly..
People that are selling images for only $25-$50 are hurting the industry for everyone else who have families and bills to pay for. - Hedgecore, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1THANK YOU. Exactly what I was going to say. Digg should have an automatic script forwarding you to goatse whenever you type that. goatse... THAT is a title that says it all.
- mrbad101, on 10/25/2007, -3/+3This is quickly becoming the recipe for succeeding on the web these days. It's all about who you know, and how many "friends" you can accumulate. Before you know it, instead of people asking "What High School did you go to?" they will be asking "What blog did you become popular on?"
- hitkaiser, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1competition ftw
- nimblefits, on 10/25/2007, -0/+0That wasn't very helpful at all
- 5cott, on 10/25/2007, -0/+0where did you sell pics of self nudity?
- sadistical, on 10/25/2007, -4/+2Inaccurate. Should say "gittin' paid bitch".
- Googlelady, on 10/25/2007, -7/+3It seems that making money online nowadays it needs of networking. As the article mentioned "You need to comment in other photos " to get noticed. That is web 2.0. If you want to succeed you need to apply "networking" into your business plan.
