"How To Create WordPress Themes From Scratch" ..should be.. "How To Create My WordPress Theme From Scratch"
As it covers only how to create the one the author wants, rather than an all round general purpose site to explain how you can make your own one.
There is no shame in that btw, it's a clear concise (and more importantly) one pager that will help a lot of people.

You shouldn't be giving actual pixel dimensions in a skinning tutorial - WordPress can output content and navigation any way you want. All you've got to do is pop open the php files, figure out which functions call what data, move them to where you want them, and wrap 'em in your preferred markup. This article should be called "how I created a wordpress skin from scratch", as opposed to the generalized "how to create _a_ wordpress skin".
And on that note - what's up with the writing? "Place in an RSS icon. I forgot the site I download this icon… Then, For the search area, create a rounded rectangle.
