- smartcause, on 01/12/2009, -2/+20Bookmarked...this is exactly the kind of thing I need but can never find the right textures when I'm looking - good find!
- SplicedUp, on 01/13/2009, -0/+11These are the best high-resolution grungy paper textures I've seen all day.
- crazlunatic, on 01/12/2009, -1/+10very nice, not everyday you come upon these
- torrbarra, on 01/13/2009, -0/+8Sweet. I won't have to buy TP again, just print those at work.
- blanktarget, on 01/13/2009, -1/+8If you need good textures check out cgtextures.com that's where I always go.
- tmohan26, on 01/13/2009, -1/+6yeah, very rare looking texture.
- inactive, on 01/13/2009, -1/+6WOW! Those Paper Textures are great :)
The last one look like made out of simple brown wrapper paper.
Bookmarked it, may be someday I will need them for my commercial purpose.
Thanks for sharing them :) - ngmcs8203, on 01/13/2009, -3/+8It's 2009, can we move on to the next Web design fad already?
- EzraSchwartz, on 01/13/2009, -0/+5If there's one thing I like it's paper textures.
- Elliuotatar, on 01/13/2009, -0/+4If you need those, or any other textures to be seamless, this is a good program for that. Real simple to use too:
http://www.seamlesstexturegenerator.com - voisine, on 01/13/2009, -1/+5I'm looking for hi-res perforated leather textures... any one know of any?
- ortucis, on 01/13/2009, -0/+4I have a collection of LOLcats textures from visiting Digg so I am sort of confused where I can stick a paper texture on at the moment.
- GothAlice, on 01/13/2009, -0/+4Like commercial process that has a lot of data, textures are useful to have in a library, so you can quickly scan through to find what you need. For this same reason, foley artists have huge libraries of 'stock' sounds. Even more important, the cost of using stock photography is far cheaper than hiring a photographer to take new shots for you.
- Kravin, on 01/13/2009, -0/+3I really like Grungy Paper 02.
- phenom2k7, on 01/13/2009, -1/+4Brown wrapping paper + $20 scanner =

Feel free to print this off and wrap your gifts with it.
If you can't afford brown I bet you could just scrunch up some white paper and add a dash of colour with your favourite image editor.
I didn't realise how popular this kind of thing was.
1. Scan all sorts of worthless crap
2. ????
3. Profit ! - johnnyzero, on 01/13/2009, -0/+3Those are very common, but this person obviously has cornered the market on Grungy
- inactive, on 01/13/2009, -2/+5Looks like their server overloaded.
Can't get in.
:( - wacked, on 01/13/2009, -1/+4because no one has access to paper, a pair of hands and a digital camera these days?
- willfe, on 01/13/2009, -2/+5Yup. It's as if a significant number of people *like* it or something. Definitely weird, and I suggest an immediate, thorough investigation into this madness! Digging useful/high-quality materials on Digg must be stopped!
- verynegative, on 01/13/2009, -2/+5www.cgtextures.com
- markstory, on 01/13/2009, -1/+4Yeah useful stuff on digg? This is insanity!! If its not a lolcat, webcomic, or huffington post article it shouldn't be on digg, is that what you're getting at?
- vexxefx, on 01/13/2009, -2/+4if you were to use this commercially, wouldn't you take the incentive of investing in a scanner/decent camera? i seriously doubt a working artist would ever actually use these.
- dalesmatrix, on 01/14/2009, -0/+2Just downloaded that and gave it a whirl. Neat program, anyone know if there's and OSX equivalent? I know you can do it in PS CS4, but this program makes it a one click job.
- mareksoon, on 01/13/2009, -3/+5While I'll admit I dug AND saved the textures, I'm gonna go scan some toilet paper and see if I can get front page, too!
- kanningt, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2i <3 you digg. i didn't even have to search for textures when i wanted them, they just came to me. brilliant
- inactive, on 01/13/2009, -1/+3Be quite.
- fiverock2, on 01/13/2009, -0/+2Here we are now, entertain us.
- punkcat, on 01/13/2009, -2/+3its a measure of cost/time.
is it really worth your time and effort to find just the right texture if these fit your project? - inactive, on 01/13/2009, -1/+2I suppose "high resolution" has nothing to do with "high quality?" Why are they .jpg's?
- banmeagaindigg, on 01/13/2009, -2/+3yes please use in all your work because we haven't seen enough of this in print design, web, etc.
- monsterCable, on 01/13/2009, -1/+2I am sorry to tell you but at original resolution these textures look like crap. Not sharp at all. They either were photographed with a crappy camera with a crappy lens or just with a crappy lens in a poor light.
Not good. - seanosays, on 01/13/2009, -1/+2i'm very satisfied with my current grungy paper textures, thank you very much.
- brettg102, on 01/13/2009, -7/+7This is on the front page...really!?
- jaygeeze, on 01/13/2009, -2/+2I was just about to say, these are really high-resolution.
- 1807, on 01/13/2009, -2/+2With the lights out, it's less dangerous.
- Michas, on 01/13/2009, -2/+2Get off my Digg's frontpage please.
- tourettes1992, on 01/13/2009, -4/+4grunge is dead.
