- replaysMike, on 12/05/2008, -11/+138Dear Google,
I like you. We should go out sometime.
Sincerely,
Microsoft. - Dylson, on 12/05/2008, -7/+58God I love google.
- orthodoxDrew, on 12/05/2008, -0/+40everything is one big beta test, google just admits it
- elie195, on 12/04/2008, -5/+25The guy in the picture scared me.
- haikuFU, on 12/05/2008, -1/+19Dear Microsoft,
You're fat. Not in a million years. Maybe SCO will date you, I hear she's down in the dumps right now.
Sincerely,
Google. - AgentBarcode, on 01/11/2009, -1/+19New theme looks awesome, especially if you're a minimalist!

- Rapax, on 12/05/2008, -0/+13Nice that they didn't choose to go with the apple-like look that is so common today. All round buttons that look like half eaten fruit pastels etc.
Thanks google, for bringing back some corners. If I want something that's smooth all over, I'll ask Fisher-Price. - drgmdp, on 12/05/2008, -0/+13square is the new round..
i'm not a huge fan of rounded corners but in the older version they looked pretty correct. also now reader looks like a completely different product from the suite.... - notwizt, on 12/05/2008, -1/+14Welcome to the Internet.
- zoydberg, on 12/05/2008, -4/+16It's too bad it breaks Helvetireader :( http://helvetireader.com.
But they're working on it:
http://twitter.com/helvetireader/statuses/10389024 ...
I advise all Helvetireader users to disable the style until I can update it for the new Google Reader. You might prefer the new greader! - SisyphusFragmnt, on 12/05/2008, -0/+9Then capitalize it.
- SisyphusFragmnt, on 12/05/2008, -1/+7Dear Google,

- yesplease151, on 12/05/2008, -6/+11My first thought was why would Google give someone a makeover. Note to self, go see what Google Reader is.
- Venemous, on 12/05/2008, -0/+4Where'd my easy access refresh button go?........................
- orthodoxDrew, on 12/05/2008, -1/+5i want an rss feed for it ;)
- fascfoo, on 12/05/2008, -2/+5*Everything is one big beta test*.....that's pretty deep.
- tora03, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3It seems to load a lot faster now.
- jeffehobbs, on 12/05/2008, -7/+101) Go to Google Reader
2) Press ?
#) Prophet - dreamofrevenge, on 12/05/2008, -1/+4Google Reader needs a notification software like Gmail.
- carbonetc, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3Reader had a strange bug that was getting annoying so I sent them a bug report. A day later they put this up, and the bug is fixed.
Now that's service. - Jektal, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3So does this mean we can stop using all the fricking hacks to round all our divs? Yay simplicity!
- diggdatt, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3Buried as spam, there is a blog from Google about this, which is what should of been linked in the first place
http://googlereader.blogspot.com/2008/12/square-is ... - SillyDigger, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3Kids stay in school or you'll end up like this dumbass.
- tdogg241, on 12/05/2008, -0/+3I assume you're talking about refreshing all your subscriptions, in which case you have to click the little down arrow to the right of "Subscriptions" and the first option is "Refresh."
- PercyKittenz, on 12/05/2008, -1/+3Great feature updates. I just started using Google Reader this week and was surprised when I refreshed my feed and saw this pop up. Only problem is that I'm using the fantastic Helivireader Greasemonkey script to make it look better, and it'll be broken until they make some changes to accommodate Google's updates.
- kalkin, on 12/05/2008, -0/+2did you just miss his point? i think you did. there's no denying it, come on tell the truth
- dullnation, on 12/05/2008, -0/+2A whole bunch of news comes to you from many different sources without you having to manually goto the sites in which it came from. It's nice for someone like me who visits design sites for inspiration too, it's easy to forget about sites but by using rss, it's always all there and it comes to you.
- uknowwhoibe, on 12/05/2008, -1/+3Yo dawg, I heard you like reading news so I put an rss feed in your rss feed so you can read while you read.
- adrenalinerush, on 12/05/2008, -1/+3you made me lol on a day I really needed it. thanks.
- jave8u, on 12/05/2008, -0/+2Now that you mention it...
- haikuFU, on 12/05/2008, -0/+2Dear SCO,
I saw you lurking outside of my window last night. That's a violation of the restraining order. Also, I have notified your little slut Novell about your obsessiveness, and she's ***** pissed. Stop harassing me. Stop calling me in the middle of the night drunk. Stop leaving your used underwear under my wipers. It's not sexy, it's gross. Plus, those ***** things are like parachutes, it can't be cheap to clad your giant ass in brand new ones every day.
Also, the collection agency for your lawfirm called ME again. They want their ***** money. Leave me alone.
Hatefully yours,
Google
P.S. - Novell is cheating on you. - thedragon4453, on 12/06/2008, -0/+1Oh yeah! Whats the name of that reader that I can access from anywhere with a browser thats as least as fast a desktop app?
- akatsuki, on 12/05/2008, -0/+1i imagine themes are coming since they have them for gmail.
- onlines, on 12/05/2008, -0/+1I like the update. It looks a little more professional (Whatever that means) by allowing me to view a small portion more of my feeds. The new bundles were also a nice addition. However, i am still baffled as to how 2 missing features remain unannounced.
1) Chat within Google Reader and other Google Apps
2) Ability to rename folders on the fly
Ah well. Still a great app. - haikuFU, on 12/05/2008, -0/+1crap
- jhofman, on 12/06/2008, -0/+1Just click on "Subscriptions" and it should refresh. I had the same thought when I found "refresh" buried in a menu.
- Lammin, on 12/05/2008, -0/+1Thats just a costume, o and santa aint real sorry you had to hear it this way :(
- synthoid, on 12/06/2008, -0/+1I've bookmarked and been using the mobile 'iPhone' version of Google Reader on my computer for a long time. Maybe I can finally return to the regular Google Reader now.
http://www.google.com/reader/i/#sub-tree/0 - angrykeyboarder, on 12/05/2008, -0/+1Now if they would just alllow sub-subfolders. The only way to accomplish this is to import an opml file from a software reader (e.g. Akregator, Liferea, RSSOwl, Feed Demon.....)
Example.

- ch40sBr1ng3r, on 12/05/2008, -2/+3It kind of looks like gmail now....ive been using greasemonkey to theme my google stuff for a while now so i dont realize when google does something like this :(
Nonetheless, Good work google, keep up the great work. - KingofGnG, on 12/05/2008, -0/+1It sucks! "Reader" has become "unreadable" now on my laptop. Uhm... just the time to switch to Thunderbird? So there wouldn't be all these fancy experiments with UI, features & co. from the nice and too-much-busy engineers at Google Inc....
- Morghin, on 12/05/2008, -1/+2It came as a total surprise right after I upgraded to the last version of Opera (#10), and I thought "Wtf? More differentiating?". Then I opened it in Chrome and saw the same.
I really like it, a lot cleaner, though I'd prefer to be able to choose where to put the side menu. - imbob, on 12/05/2008, -0/+1"DJ begin with some Trance"
wow EDM FTW!!! lol - Ashtonn, on 12/05/2008, -0/+1wow. totally wrong story. Sorry
- anthonylitz, on 12/06/2008, -0/+1I don't like the bold black font in the left menu and couldn't you resize the left menu before? Now you can only open and close it.
- ConfusedCartman, on 12/06/2008, -0/+1This guy?
