- weijie90, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23It's just the strawberry and chocolate which look like a "g". The stalk looks like an "l".
- durrty, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I'm sure the person responsible for creating this felt that the 'L' is represented by the image in someway, I doubt they forgot or misspelled the name, but c'mon, you gotta admit that it doesn't look like there is an L.
- falstaff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Yeah, psychometry, it's equally 'not hard' to check the submission times before you call dupe.
- Blacklaser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I doubt it's a mistake, the logo has been up way to long for it to be a non-intentional mistake:

The stem of the strawberry sure does not look like an "L". - swOhio, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7It kind of makes you wonder what googe.com is... I think I'll pass on checking.
- Superflks, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8The stem is definitely supposed to be the "L." In google's normal logo the "L" always appears as green which even further proves the point. I think it is one of their better Google Doodles.
- danknerd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4the stem is not an "L".. havent you all ever seen a "g" written like that? http://www.karate1.com/alphabet/g.gif note the stem coming off the g
- trer, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7How does this get on the front page? Lame.
- rudy23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2look carefully.

subtle and beautifully done. - Skitzzo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2hey moron, the other article about this was actually submitted AFTER this one.
Not to mention how the hell do you bury something twice? "Buried as dupe and incorrect(which I'm guessing is inaccurate?)" - tim507, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2strawberry looks yummy.
- LonnyQ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't they know that you spell with letters, not with fruits?
- pathy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I wanted some googe on Valentine's, Google have provided!
- Skitzzo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This wasn't the dupe chief. Check the freaking submission time.
- hokeywebb22, on 10/12/2007, -8/+9It's not wrong.
The top of the L is the stem and the bottom of the L is at the bottom coming out of the side.
It's actually very subtle and I like it.
Buried as dupe and incorrect. - postlogic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1rudy23: I kinda liked yours better :-D Obvious in MS Paint.
- BlackPhantom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Maybe the artist was dyslexic, or a complete plonker!
- MuTeD, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1A whole stawberry :D
- Randazzo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Dupe. Why do people keep digging these stories to the top when anyone who looks at the image can clearly see that it's intentional and there is an "L" there??
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Aren't all mistakes unintentional, you know, by definition?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Stupid! It is clearly not spelled wrong! I might have failed inglish klass, but looks good!
- mgrucker, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2god I love urbandictionary lol
googe: Googe is a sexual act originating in the Amazon rainforest. It is where the man wraps his legs around a womans face and googe's like a bad badger. - Tebei, on 10/04/2008, -0/+0http://last-worlds-news.com/show.php?id=46yu4sjrdt ...
- Kalena, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ok ok. So the stem was meant to represent the "L". But it was ambiguous to say the least and I didn't see it until a reader pointed it out to me, post-blog. I know Google pointed out (http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2007/02/strawberries-are-red-stems-are-green.html) that the stem is green, just like the "L" in their regular logo, but if you follow that logic, the "G" should have been blue, right?
- Skitzzo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Nope, google = gods just like Apple, Linux, and Digg.
- GravyTrain6, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Digger misspell own article submission
- Skitzzo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Way to butcher the language there, chief.
Non-intentional = unintentional and as felch pointed out, all mistakes are unintentional. - LaurenceHerbert, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2What the hell ? This is a stupid story, if it nots ment to represent the "L" then what else is it ment to represent ?
- PleaseBeSerious, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0In other news, Digg users surprised to learn humans work at Google. More at 11.
- hellpancho, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Wonder if the'll fix it...
