  • jggube, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4I would say GIMP is the #1 free tool for image editing, and rightly so. It's an excellent open source project with a great community surrounding it. It's abilities are comparable to Photoshop, just lacking in the work flow process and management features, along with the lack of tight integration with other popular graphics creation and editing tool. People will complain about the interface and about how it's just not like Photoshop, but if you're adamant about making GIMP look like Photoshop, check out GIMPshop.
