- Cbeck527, on 10/12/2007, -1/+63he could clobber that nerd-beating football player
- MadFunk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+39Hard work-- it's too bad that the jumpsuit is a bit tacky. Some will claim it's pure nerdiness that made this costume-- but the man put in a lot of effort for an awesome result. That, I think we can all agree, is worth appreciating.
- triforcer, on 10/12/2007, -7/+44it's nerd clobbering time!
- geuisteses, on 10/12/2007, -0/+33This is really creative. Don't talk *****, man. Gotta give him credit too for actually wearing that heavy ass thing.
- bennyboy371, on 10/12/2007, -0/+29Yeah I hate it when people talk ***** about this. While it is kinda nerdy, he made a suit that really pays tribute to a hobby he truly loves, he genuinely enjoyed himself, and everyone loved it. Its getting about 50 diggs every half hour roughly, so obviously plenty others love it to. A person should be so lucky.
- joekeegan123, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26This guy did a great job. What an awesome idea, and to have the courage and follow through to actually DO it, I think this guy is commendable. AWESOME.
Now, for all of the people that are cutting on this guy...you are all a sorry, sad bunch. Peter Jackson was just another nerdy guy that followed his vision, and look where it took HIM. Imagine, if Peter Jackson had unleashed his ideas a little early to a crowd like this, we might not have had as amazing of a LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY. Really, people, try harder...let's see what YOUR big life accomplishment is...

just my .02 - nymphetamine, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25Of course it is. As we all know, rocks are indestructible.
- msaleem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21FTA: "one might say I rocked"
All I can say is rock on buddy. - dilg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Agreed, this is SO much better than the TRON guy (http://www.tronguy.net ). Props for having the strength to move under all that rock.
- Zomar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17I'm really impressed that he was able to move in that thing without the rocks hitting together and preventing it. It must have taken a lot of planning.
- Scooter1974, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16I completely agree. Some of these miserable twerps have nothing better to do than come to digg and talk crap about people just to make themselves feel better about their own miserable lives.
Awesome story and very creative....dugg. - LanceWindu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14The final outcome is really odd looking, mostly because of the jumpsuit, but many kudos the the guy for doing it.
- baskervillain, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17I'm sure his mother is proud.
- vdubski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13For once the Comic Sans font is properly used in an article.
- jasonsfakename, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Who doesn't want to be the giant orange dude that everyone stays far away from?
- danjal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11i think that suit rocked.. no pun intended, i think it's sad all the folks who bagg it, sure even if it is a comic convention, least he has a hobby and at least he gets out!
- ggko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10> As we all know, rocks are indestructible.
Let's see how it holds up to *paper*! - FlyboyP, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10You, my friend, have advanced yourself to the rank of mega-geek, and I say that most respectfully.
Good job. - maklershed, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13Your friend looks like the result of a pairing between Kevin Smith and Jesus. Good idea for a costume by the way.
- sapo916, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9jpwhitmore,
The Pirate Bay has guns now, didnt you hear. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9That's nothing, check out my Invisible Woman costume: http://www.nccu.edu/studentlife/privatizedhousing/Images/web_gallery/nov2005web/images/room.jpg
It's made from bits of real magic, so you know it's good. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11if you had a costume-making workshop you'd put it in your basement too, dumbass!
- kennyGS13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7you wouldn't believe how many times he has been compared to kevin smith and peter jackson
- theRIAA, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8wonder if its bulletproof
- D4r7h3v1l, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6That is so cool! I know I could never build up the time, determination, or confidence to do that.
- kennyGS13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6http://images.cosplay.com/gallery.php?member=36633 here's his other costumes and what he's working on for this con
- pooper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6actually, he fits fills out that costume really good, the real "Thing" ain't no skinny little kid...
- cgwas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6So, two kevin smiths?
- jpwhitmore, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7@theriaa
What are you planning? - unre4l, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5lol Yeh tell him to do the dude on fire next
- daggerhart, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10wtf does it matter where he lives?
... and who doesn't fit some sort of stereotype?
i think we're here to judge the project, not the man.
grow up. - louisianna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Fantastic! wonder what his plans are for this years comic-con.

Very Appropriate

HULK^H^H^H^HTHING SMASH! - EnderW, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I bet wearing 110 pounds gets old real fast.
- imnojezus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Definitely impressive in that he solved a _lot_ of movement issues, and then wore a 110 effing pound suit. I'm just wondering why he used real rock. There are a lot of lighter ways to fake rock that would look just as realistic (especially since it's painted orange anyway) and not have threatened the guy with an aneurysm.
Not knocking the guy. He did a great job. - stukkm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I want to see you try and throw him.
- kennyGS13, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5sorta makes no sense when I, his friend posted it
- WackyT, on 10/12/2007, -39/+43Now it's time for him to put that much effort into trying to lose his virginity with a HUMAN female.
- RareSaturn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Wow. Looks better unpainted, and much better than the movie's rubber suit!!!
- daggerhart, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3plus, there is a small chance that he gets to bang babes in superhero costumes.
- IMesh, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"
wouldn't be too bad if he is in shape."
Not saying he isn't strong but he sure doesn't look in shape. - wilf_brim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Well, yea it is still pretty tough. Imagine going through an entire day with those dumbells attached to your arms. It would get pretty heavy, pretty damn fast. I'm impressed he was able to go last as long as he did with it on.
- thashiz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Just gotta hope he doesn't have a kidney stone...
- SilentPurity, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Didn't you know that super powers were at work? Probably that liger.
- vonskippy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Seems like a great idea for another lame gay BRAVO network show...
Project Dorkway.
Maybe they could get the used to be sexy (back in the Earth Girls are Easy days) but still really smart, Geena Davis to host it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6well I apologize on his behalf for having a bed, microwave, and fridge; the 3 things we really don't need. /sarcasm
- SocialPoison, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That is nothing short of impressive.
- cyberghost232, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Looks more like Keith Harrison From Revision 3
- apache2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1lol - tripod
- timlopez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1DIdn't they stop making those ghetto compaq computers in 2000?
