- lithuin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I hate to break it to you, but those are not, strictly speaking, proprietary tags. They are enclosed in HTML comment tags, which are standards compliant. It is not good practice, but very common for script code to be contained inside of HTML comment tags. They could have just as easily had, "Stop trying to turn everything into an anti-Microsoft rant" enclosed in the tag and it would have also been perfectly acceptable, standards compliant HTML code. Microsoft software may try to parse comment code for its own reasons, but that is irrelevant to your argument.
Way to spread FUD, though. - shakin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9*****

- Snoopykiss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Proprietary Microsoft HTML extensions or not, shouldn't those have been discarded as comments?

- MissElliot1978, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wegmans totally rocks! We chose a house based partly on its proximity to Wegmans. Those of you who haven't shopped there have no idea.

- weister42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1A cake is a good cake if it tastes good, so as long as this broken cake tastes good, it's a good cake.

This does give me a great idea for a birthday cake though.
maybe put some kind of html code on it that renders something when you create an html file and view it with a browser? - hadak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All the cakes jokes are funny as hell. Digg readers take the cake!

That is *not* an SQL query. It's proprietary Microsoft HTML extensions.
EDIT: Way to edit your wrongheaded post while I posted my correction. - haxx4, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Fake?
- Terc, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Does anyone here visit sites that already post this kind of stuff? Seriously, this is NOT NEWS!!
- thcobbs, on 10/12/2007, -12/+2Apparently, no one has ever told you this.... so I must say it as politely as possible.

|
| One thing we have got to change is our strategy -- allowing Office
| documents to be rendered very well by OTHER PEOPLES BROWSERS is one of the
| most destructive things we could do to the company.
|
| We have to stop putting any effort into this and make sure that Office
| documents very well depends on PROPRIETARY IE capabilities.
|
| Anything else is suicide for our platform. This is a case where Office has
| to to destroy Windows.
