- hartw, on 10/11/2007, -0/+26Before everyone goes out crying "DUPE!" please realize that:
a) I had never intended it to be seen before the contest... somebody found it and dugg it (and stole my thunder, haha)
b) This isn't really a "story". You are voting on whether or not you think this should win the API contest.
Good luck to all the contestants! - themarq, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20I agree, this one is a billion times more useful than the swarm and stack crap. Any chance it could run as a screen saver?
- drobati, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17This is a duplicate, but it was submitted as a collection of the finalists by Daniel Burka on the digg blog, so that we might digg for the winner.

You can view all the finalists here:
http://digg.com/contest - cliffyboro, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15absolutely fantastic!!!
- sn0wmis3r, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8I agree, one of my favorites
- drobati, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Good job by the way. Really wonderful work.
- mattbrighton, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Very useful in some situations.
- ilkeryoldas, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5This really works well with stories linked to a single picture...
...now only if we could have a PHOTO section - dfndoe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Best of the finalists IMHO. Actually useful... the others provide no additional features which cannot be had from the standard digg tools.... and they can't even hope to look this good.
- cryptix, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3vivid moving previews, nice sorting and actually useful.. saves a lot of backwards hammering.. just GREAT
- reedjohnson, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2For a Visual Person like me... this takes the cake!
- godd4242, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Kudos definitely.
- dbr_onix, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Hmm, a version of this that only displays flickr links would be nice (Since Digg displays previews of the photo if the link is directly to the Flickr page, much like the thumbnails of Youtube submissions. I assume the API has a method to find these submissions - although I've not looked at it)
- godd4242, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Best one out of all I've seen.
- hartw, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21300+ diggs from here plus
1800+ diggs from here :http://digg.com/programming/Digg_Expose_DIGG_Snap_Preview_Shots
= winner?
Just kidding... congrats to the two the entrants that humbled my work. Thanks to those that supported and those that (constructively) criticized :)
Anybody want to buy Flash CS3 Pro? I already own it :( - r3m1x, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I agree. Awesome work Hart! I too would like to see this as a screen saver but also, I'd like to see an option to view mine and my friends dugg stories in this fashion. That would be great!
- nakile, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I have to say, that was much better then these other two things here.
- lharboe, on 05/01/2009, -0/+1This is the winner...
- tractorpunch, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Wow, nice work in the design department though I have seen this type of flash coding on Ultrashock and a few other tut sites. But nice execution.
- jsnash9, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0LOW CPU AND MEM USAGE, THE BEST SO FAR.
- stoppedcode12, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Where the cover flow view? Just kidding, it's a cool app.
- dbr_onix, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1"Duplicate story. Old"
Doesn't that mean the other story is also old (since they are both "duplicates" of each other), in which case either is equally relevant.. - bacchus101, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2I love the fact everyone got dug down for stating the obvious: This is a VERY recent front paged dupe.
I personally don't mind seeing a good story brought to light again after few months.......but after a few days is really annoying. It is not as bothersome on an individual story basis, but rather based on the fact that the sheer number of these type of resubmitted stories plaguing the front page detracts from the value of digg as a fresh news/culture portal.
Possibly there should be a "resubmitted popular" page were duplicate stories of merit can have a second life for those that want to relive them and for those that don't frequent digg like many of us do everyday. - DeathfireD, on 10/11/2007, -8/+1Dupe original story found here http://digg.com/programming/Digg_Expose_DIGG_Snap_Preview_Shots
- ryanmm, on 10/11/2007, -9/+1Yeah I read about this site on CNet and tried to submit it like 2 days ago but there was already one that made the front page...pretty quick dupe
- danakin, on 10/11/2007, -11/+2Try, right below this story on the front page. Same site too!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -14/+3Duplicate story. Old
- wrongway, on 10/11/2007, -13/+1Seems to not work well under linux... please label winblows only...
- daven1986, on 10/11/2007, -18/+2old, was here last week.
