- tugger, on 10/10/2007, -16/+28OBK... Just the once by the look of it....
However, dugg down for the mis-spelling. In Scotland (and the rest of the planet except the US) it is spelled "Colour". Resistance is futile. - wikimart, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11All High Resolution

However, after looking it up, it appears perfectly cromulent though... - zadadka, on 10/10/2007, -6/+12Dugg down for being a nincompoop.
There is English, and there is American....there is no such thing as US-English except in Microsoft-land. - Treshnell, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Wish I could get that first image in high resolution.

- ScrumFritter, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Dugg down, because everyone's doing it.
- BigKoi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Nothing like a yank's Welsh blood yearning for "ancestral" Scottish highlands.....
- mos6507, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4They should have shot some of Lord of the Rings there.
- kylemac91, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4i live in the highlands and the scenery is amazing.. although just now we are having really bad rain.. i'll get a few pics up and digg them

The number of native English speakers in America more than doubles the number of native English speakers everywhere else in the world combined. Hence, most of the world spells it "color." - vfx2k4, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Check out John Boorman's Excalibur for non-stop scenery from this area.
- wxpbofh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The castle (Eilean Donan) has featured in many movies; the Original "Highlander" movie and in one of the Brosnan 007 movies are two.
- darylsws, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Proud to say that I did the site design for the Eilean Donan castle website ;)
- ScrumFritter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Midges ***** suck.
I've been meaning to do more hikes around Scotland, I feel like I don't properly appreciate the country I live in having not done it. - LouCypher, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"How many times is this madness going to be posted?"
There *won't* be only *once* - davmacbea, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Eilean Donan Castle. I'll be driving past it on Friday on the way to the isle of Skye.

It was a little grey and rainy but nothing a couple of midwesterners couldn't handle. The highlands, where my ancestors are from, were absolutely beautiful.
@NormalVisual - Haggis, as determined by my wife and I, is the car wreck of meats. It tastes strange and has a weird texture but you can't stop eating it. It is good stuff. - Hellokittie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2if you guys like these pictures you should hike the west highland way in Scotland. I did the hike this summer, quite lovely, except for the midges...
- stephend, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Eilean Donan. The BBC used to use it in one of their idents:

Is now where all the Scottish programmers work - sabach, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2What a dick
- Treshnell, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thank you, much.
- Twister47, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What's the name of that castle?
- liah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I just got finished with a 2-week camping trip with a Nikon D200 through the islands and highlands of Scotland including Arran, Mull, Achmelvich and Clachtoll-- latter two being part of the major Geopark in Scotland. Took over 300 pictures. It is truly gorgeous.
Actually went by that castle, it was on the way to Ullapool or at least between it and Fort William.. Starts with an E.. forget what it's called. Never managed to get a picture of it, though, did get some of Duart and a ruined one on Arran. - sabach, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1One of the finest movies I've ever seen, it inspires me every time I see it. And I'm Irish-hillbilly.
- NormalVisual, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1When my wife and I visited Scotland last year, one of the locals told us about a rare weather phenomenon known as SOOT - stands for "sun's out over there". :-) Really enjoyed staying in Edinburgh, and the Highlands were just amazing. Still don't get the whole haggis thing though.
- Bago, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I've been there in 2006, here is my flickr set for Scottish Highlands:

Camper + Bike has been a great choice, but warning: grass is very cool to see, but you will have big difficulties going through it with an MTB because there is really too much water inside. - scrumdiddly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Being the largest industrialised nation with close to 300 million people might have something to do with it...

- KickYoda, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3I want my breath back!
- NormalVisual, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0"Excalibur" is also known for the great scenery provided courtesy of John Boorman's daughter Katrine. Hard to believe she'll be 50 next year.
- IWantThat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0The Harry Potter movies were (at least partially) filmed in the Highlands.
- bdhughes, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2it may have been posted more than once but it is the first time i have seen it. never been although i have welsh blood. just another yank who hasn't made it back to the land of our ancestors. it is beautiful regardless.
- LYMrandy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0how about spelling it coulor from now on?
- zephc, on 10/10/2007, -5/+2Albainn Gu Brath!
- 3tcp, on 10/10/2007, -5/+2Yeah, i'm pretty sick of it
- Treshnell, on 10/10/2007, -13/+8Dugg down for misspelling 'color.' And 'misspelling.'
- resplence, on 10/10/2007, -9/+2Great, another colourlovers post to bury.
- DiggzDE, on 10/10/2007, -12/+4Dugg down for being a pompous ass. There is a reason we are the top economic power in the world, we can't be that stupid if we know how to do that. Resistance to the U.S. is futile.
- OBKenobi, on 10/10/2007, -19/+4How many times is this madness going to be posted?
