- Khast, on 06/08/2009, -0/+4I rarely get rid of old tech. Often, I just keep the old tech as a fall back. I still have old computers ranging back to the 486sx20. (It is still used BTW...just for very simple operations...using Windows95 as the OS.)
I don't see why people need to get rid of their old hardware, it can be useful for lesser tasks than the current hardware. Not all tech becomes useless as it becomes obsolete, as long as it does what it was designed for. - thethinktank, on 06/09/2009, -1/+4Explain GameCube.
- askantik, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3I don't know about his point, but mine is 1) you can't keep ***** forever (eventually you die) and it has to go somewhere-- recycling should be more accessible/encouraged, and 2) some people live in an apartment and/or can't afford storage units to accrue years of *****.
- feenstrovski, on 06/09/2009, -1/+4What a waste! Those could have been Pizza boxes.
- spritom, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2What kind of video card does that laptop have? Can it run Crysis?
- Scottamus, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2Actually now that you mention it making all this crap out of cardboard actually makes some sense.
- cardboardz, on 06/09/2009, -1/+1Pretty cool stuff! Check out this cardboard furniture: http://digg.com/d1tIXd
- lydiasky, on 06/08/2009, -1/+1Wow, the detail in that camcorder is awesome. Not to mention everything else. I love tech related art.
- OpCzar, on 06/09/2009, -1/+1I totally agree with the disposable iPod
/ducks - InfiniteNothing, on 06/09/2009, -1/+1CG?
- Khast, on 06/09/2009, -1/+1yeah...got one of them as well.... your point? (Hell, as far as Nintendo systems go, I have the original green screened Gameboy as well. Still plays games the same as when it was bought in 1989.)
- gemredpanda, on 06/08/2009, -3/+2You don't get, it.
- 123bucklemyshoe, on 06/08/2009, -6/+0This is very interesting. It doesn't really matter if the products don't look good but think of what it would be like if technology were made out of cardboard. It might not be easy I'm not sure how expensive this project was but you could recycle everything when you needed a new version or whatever. I'm extremely interested in science and programming so this looks like it would be a HUGE advance in, technology. It seems almost impossible who would have thought you know?
