- RWTechgage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool, thanks Abstractia.
Awesome presentation.. definitely makes me want to look into CSS further. - version30.x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The links from this point to some decent designs.
I would like to see some more current data though. Some facts mentioned were generated from March 2003 data.
Well back to my all-nighter... - SuperRob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Some people need to know more about a subject matter before they start flaming."
lol ... Then the internet might become a civilized place, and we just _can't_ have that. - RWTechgage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"730 terabytes/year"
Wow.. I didn't realize CSS could cut down on b/w so much. - tgumbel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you watch the presentation you will find that it shows you how to make better looking sites with CSS. I don't think that the layout for the site is all that great either but they show you some pretty cool techniques to help visual presentation for any layout.
- besouza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This makes me want to learn CSS... maybe in graphic design this year.
- abstractia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0RW, I think that figure only accounts for the home page savings. If the CSS is cached, you can save a TON of bandwidth, cutting it by almost 75% in some cases.
Really nice presentation. The light / dark style swapper in the right corner was also a nice feature. - Nation, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0crap, wrong link .... correct link --> http://www.stopdesign.com/present/2004/ddw-seattle/tables/
- penguinboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow - a boring powerpoint presentation that doesnt make sense unless someone is actually speaking to you at the same time.
CSS is great, but whats the point of this? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Agreed tupac.
- tgumbel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That is a completely different presentation.
- Jimcub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A good example of how messed up WIN/ie's CSS implementation is. Display this in firefox and ie side by side - the colours are different, not rounded corners in ie and so on.. I do like the examples later on in the presentation, very helpful.
- Duncan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Obviously the last two commenters dont get the point of CSS and good web design
Nice link, will make use of it in one of my courses this semister at uni ;) - abstractia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0autok2, you're a moron. Stopdesign was contracted by Blogger to design some of their templates.
Some people need to know more about a subject matter before they start flaming. - Nation, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This is either old or spam, this was his newer piece: http://digg.com/design/CSS_Web_Design_-_Throwing_Tables_Out_the_Window
- superultra, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0My question is: do we really need another powerpoint presentation on the internet, even if it is in and about CSS?
- tupac, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I actually think its pretty ugly.
- autok2, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0This is just retarded. Nice use of BLOGGER as an f-ing design inspiration.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0huh? WTF? This is f'n lame.
