- knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -2/+128telling us to watch it with the lights on is like telling a kid not to touch a hot stove.
I turned off my lights before i even clicked the link. - SirBryce, on 10/12/2007, -9/+83He's obviously never seen an HP commercial.
- Carbamide, on 10/12/2007, -4/+63Neat. "BIZZARE"? I don't think so. But neat.
- PEteandPEte, on 10/12/2007, -6/+50then its a good thing im stoned
- angeloloria, on 10/12/2007, -1/+39am i the only one who keeps watching it, waiting for it to make sense?
- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -3/+35I don't recall anywhere on Digg saying that posts here have to be new. They only have to be of interest to enough people.. Which, it would seem, THIS ONE IS!
- livet0ski, on 08/17/2009, -4/+28nice hair
- Prophet, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23Guess what... the Internet is pretty big. I'm sure there are even people here who haven't heard of longcat, or maddox, or bash, or even slashdot.
So it's old... get over it. Obviously enough people haven't seen this that it made it to the font page, so chances are, there are a whole lot more people who also haven't seen it. Something that's old and interesting, is still interesting.
edit: Rikkochet beat me to it. - UrbenLegend, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20I was half expecting a screamer to pop up. It would have been perfect.
- Akram, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23title should be changed to: "prepare for an epeleptic fit"
- diktator279, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18You claimed dupe, but you still arent cool. What's your next plan?
- divergentdave, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19You hit the nail on the head. More math-laden info at http://www.josleys.com/articles/printgallery.htm
- AzraelRenegades, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15MC Escher, that's my favorite MC.
- diktator279, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16If you've seen it before raise your hands... Ok.
See, isn't that easier than bitching about having seen it? - bebop717, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Your almost there, keep going.
- LebaneseWarrior, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16You have just stepped into the Twilight Zone.

http://www.zoomquilt.org/ - PrometheuZ, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Where's the end??? I've been waiting for like an hour so far.
- thomashallock, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6FAKE!!!
- revmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -12/+17looks like an mc escher sorta thing.
- Gneisbaard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5how is this an optical illusion?
- posneg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I got the high score!
- sembetu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4No, not Christ. See above comment.
- frontbrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4me too, I am always suspicious of any optical illusion flash animations or games. or anything that says "Stare at this for x seconds"
- nanoman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Is that David Koresh?
- mr.hostility, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3And I thought Bob Ross was dead.
- IzeasGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Prophet: You look at the comments on digg for Maddox's Sony rant, someone there DIDN'T know who he was. Hey, I'm discovering old Internet stuff all the time.
- cleverboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Just so long as you don't fall out of your chair when the face of a really ugly girl suddenly shows up and screams loud enough to make your ears hum. 'Cause you should totally have seen that coming.
- codenexus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I right clicked on the animation and un-ticked play (on a windows XP machine in Firefox). Oddly it was still playing but gave a clue as to how it was made.
Does it act odd for anyone else? - resplence, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Indeed. And what exactly is the illusion? It's great, but I missed the part where you're supposed to see something that's not there, hence the term 'optical illusion'.
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2*vomits*
- bbrittwage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Here's a screen saver for os x thats very similar to this one, except its based on an Escher drawing http://wakaba.c3.cx/s/lotsablankers/
- terafnord, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you have a Mac, you can get a screensaver that does this with Escher's Print Gallery.
http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20388 - IzeasGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It looks cool. That's good enough.
- yahoofrom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It ruined mine eyes.
- poseitom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1its called 'the Droste effect'
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i just barfed a little..
- zivarik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i remember this flash from 3+ years ago. there was this site which had a complete tutorial of how to make the above flash video and they used the above link as an example. does anyone know what that site was?
it will be cool to see how people in Digg can manipulate that and make new stuff... - dDuk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4@ lpcustom
Because ten years ago they had flash... right? As mentioned above, what's the deal with things being 'old' anyhow? You know, some people, such as me, do not spend every second of every day watching digg, google [enter news website here], and occasionally WE MISS THINGS. IMO it's a good thing that they come back around every so often. - herrshuster, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5http://img82.imageshack.us/img82/8518/image2aj2.jpg
actual picture in the swf file - dkbg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Un-checking "Play" in the context menu of flash movies just stops the playing of frames on the main time line but allows movieclips (essentially, flash movies within a flash movie with their own time lines) to keep playing, which is why it keeps playing (the main animation must be in a movieclip). Doing that does provide some insight into how it was made, but I still haven't really figured that out exactly.
- rampage3000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I hope your security settings are right or you my have given clublaugh permission to access you mic and or cam when you looked at the image. ?
still cool - Naga10, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Pictures in pictures always remind me of Stephen Colbert.
- thepolkapunk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2This is neither bizarre nor an optical illusion. This is, however, extremely cool!
- servicingyou, on 12/30/2008, -0/+0ohh, my eyes are paining Lol!
