- str3ama, on 10/29/2007, -4/+30It also looks like you could just take an image, stretch it abit, skew/slant it, and then overlay it over your original image - and set the opacity or fill to say something like 45% ...you'd end up with the same effect..
- triska, on 10/26/2007, -0/+10Like this.
http://www.danamania.com/temp/emo_mac_user.jpg - Otto, on 10/23/2007, -0/+10That's why it's better to photoshop them in. Duh.
- CheeseburgerBro, on 10/23/2007, -2/+12Needlessly over-complicated. Photoshop braggart.
- ronnsprocket, on 10/29/2007, -1/+8^ true photoshop badasses. i bet you guys still use bar soap when you shower.
- kernokerno, on 10/22/2007, -1/+8Nobody is discussing whether they're ugly or beautiful...
- smrekar, on 10/23/2007, -0/+6If you export a Black and White of your image you can use it as a Displacement Map to wrap the image around the countours of the human form.
- Volatile, on 10/23/2007, -1/+6Here's the thing: most tattooed people don't care. And their opinions are all that matters, really.
- canuq, on 10/22/2007, -0/+5Mirror: http://mirror.canuq.com/3870054/photo-effects-tuto ...
- scrimaxinc, on 10/29/2007, -1/+6Agreed. Just bust out Free Transform (ctrl + T) and practice a bit.
- dragon76, on 10/29/2007, -0/+4The method in the tutorial is only useful with black and white images. If you are applying a coloured tattoo on coloured skin, it takes a lot more than what's on that tutorial.
- TheKingInYellow, on 10/23/2007, -0/+4first of all, i wouldn't use a black image as my tattoo regardless of the image being black and white. go ahead and convert it to rgb or cmyk (depending on your preferred product) and use a dark skin color or something other than black. once your start messing with transfer modes you'll appreciate the what the color tattoo can offer (again, regardless of it being black and white). once everything is said and done then you can go and convert everything to a flat grayscale pic. black is so difficult to work with when you're using transfer modes, you'd be better off using it in a mask layer.
either way, there are a million ways to do this and most of them can be done with less steps than the tutorial provided here. - whiteyMcBrown, on 10/29/2007, -3/+6This is such a ***** tutorial, I can't believe it's getting dugg.
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 10/29/2007, -1/+4Who the hell makes a tutorial for photoshopping and stops at black and white images.
That's a little like driving lessons and only covering bike saftey. - detales, on 10/25/2007, -0/+3Mine didn't turn out as good as his did, but it was a great tutorial nonetheless. Teaches you a ***** about certain techniques...
Here's my result: http://beginnorth.com/blog/2007/10/22/147/ - krets, on 10/22/2007, -2/+5No Herve Villechaize? Buried.
- MerryMortician, on 10/23/2007, -1/+4Sometimes to get from point A to point B it seems many people like to pass by r,t,v,c,w,j,l and p first.
- detales, on 10/25/2007, -4/+6I can't believe how arrogant and pretentious Digg users are...
You remind me of whiny rich kids who like to ***** and piss on everything in an attempt to make the world less enjoyable.
I hope this comment gets buried so you all prove my point... - crowleston, on 10/24/2007, -6/+8Yes! Now I can make all the penis's I draw on my friends faces look like they're really there!
- SiNN4R, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2When I see comments like these dugg down it makes me hate digg.
- OutThisLife, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2It can be done much easier than this tutorial suggests.
Spend maybe a few hours with photoshop and you'll see that. - prgmctan, on 10/22/2007, -0/+2Well "I hope that you have learnt something from this tutorial."
- PathDaemon, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2Luckily, pictures don't age. Especially those enhanced using Adobe® Photoshop® software
- wedges, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1this entire process would be simpler and cleaner using smart objects. then you wouldn't have to rasterize *****.
- Chaos12, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1Truth
- xister, on 10/22/2007, -0/+1..and if you REALLY want to get fancy, duplicate the "tattoo" layer, transform each tattoo layer to the different curves of the skin and mask out what you don't need from each respective layer. It's a little more complicated than what I'm making out here, but it takes away the flat look of just superimposing one "tattoo" image.
- orangester, on 10/23/2007, -2/+3That guy looks like a complete tool.
- hichnii, on 03/19/2008, -0/+1photoshop is rulez
http://hubpages.com/hub/Swallow-Tattoos - darkmotion, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1For changing contours, the liquefy tool in combination with the live mesh display is very handy.
- RadicalEdward, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1Um, how many 60 year olds are you really expecting to look good anyway. It's not that the tattoo is a stretched out thing, THEY are a stretched out thing... Yuck.
- incd, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1This is the cancer killing 4chan
- RadiatedAnt, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1It fooled my cousins as I stared at the final product.

http://www.atledo.com - PabloMac, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1When did I mention market share? My comment referred to user-friendliness. Go back to your spreadsheets and leave us creatives alone.
- aashishsahrawat, on 04/16/2008, -0/+0This is awesome.

- liquisoft, on 10/23/2007, -2/+2I'd say his PS job is okay, but not absolutely perfect. There are details of the images he used that are too miniscule and pixel-perfect to be possible in a real tat.
- xister, on 10/23/2007, -1/+1Yes- I "learnt" that this is not the way to 'shop a tattoo on someone. Anyone who breaks out the burn tool to adjust the shadows is lame.
- xister, on 10/25/2007, -2/+2Nice try fanboy. What's your percentage of the user market again?
- xister, on 10/23/2007, -1/+1I'm assuming he used black and white because he hasn't learned how to effectively use "selective color" yet.
- BoneStamp, on 10/23/2007, -3/+2Photoshopped!
- Suspected, on 10/22/2007, -3/+2I don't tend to be good at detecting fakes, but these are so obvious it's just sad. You can clearly see that the "tattoos" are not even obstructing hair follicles, and yet, these are supposed to be realistic fakes?
- MacGruber, on 10/22/2007, -1/+0aha, free BME membership, here I come!
- inactive, on 10/23/2007, -1/+0i like to have tattoo like micheal scofield..
in prison break.. - ubergeek09, on 10/23/2007, -3/+1Never mind I removed it after realizing there are far simpler ways of doing this.
- Bllasae, on 10/23/2007, -4/+2Awesome.
- PabloMac, on 10/23/2007, -3/+1"Needlessly over-complicated."
I knew that the moment I saw the Windoze screenshots. Buried. - MikeFallopian, on 10/23/2007, -3/+0If you want a tatt that bad, it's probably less effort (and less pain) to just go to the local tattoo parlor...
- ubergeek09, on 10/23/2007, -5/+0That's pretty cool I put it in my favorites
- tanto, on 10/23/2007, -6/+1If you are looking for a devil tattoo, does that mean you are a bad person? Usually devil tattoo designs are not the most sought after tattoo because of their reputation.
