Apple versus PC - Now For The Real Mobile Web
staygolinks.com — The biggest impact of Apple's iPhone is that it makes the Mobile Web a NOW reality. The simple One Web Principle is no longer adequate as different mobile devices adopt different style sheets and front ends.

1.) Apple vs. PC has nothing to do with Apple vs. the rest of the mobile phone industry, and in Apple vs. the rest of the mobile phone industry, Apple is not really doing anything that great - you still are viewing a modified webpage as safari has to screw with text and such to get a decent amount of information to fit on an extremely limiting, tiny screen. Webpages are meant to be viewed at 1024x768 or higher, and that thing is a PAIN to have to move around in a tiny little piece of a webpage at a time.
2.) it has a clip of one of (out of, what, 200?!) those "IM A MAC LOL IM A PC OMGWTF" commercials embedded in the page - I can't tell you how badly I want to punch that smarmy, dorky apple nerd in the face! It's right in front of the eyes of the viewer, but apple dorks dont get it -- he's the same thing as the PC guy, just easier on the eyes. That's it. There's no other difference than the outside. IT'S A *****, ILLOGICAL MESSAGE - I'm better because I look better. ***** YOU AND YOUR FACE, STEVE JOBS. ***** your family too.
edit: oh, and MAKE IT SO WE CAN CHANGE OUT ***** BATTERIES AND PUT ON/OFF BUTTONS ON YOUR DEVICES. *****!- bwelford, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I guess you're entitled to your opinion. seraph82 . However if you believe the Mobile Web shouldn't exist at all, then you're probably not interested in how those who are trying to create it will conquer the obvious technological and usability problems.
