- rpeterclark, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4Eesh, yes, you've stated your opinion at least 4 times so far on this story, everyone gets it and you are starting to come across rather creepy.
- TheSkinsFactory, on 07/29/2008, -2/+6Considering we just launched oh about 23 hours ago and considering you have above you someone who bought our product and loves it, I'd say you're full of it. Your comment was deleted off of deviantART when i found out you signed up that day and only commented on our work. Had you been on DA for longer than a few hours and blasted our work I would have responded and left it. We've been around way too long for a troll like you to mean anything. I think anyone who's seen and used our 6 Alienware themes understands the quality we deliver no matter what format we deliver it in. Invader. Darkstar. ALXMorph. Star Wars. Superman.
Here's a screenshot of my desktop in action: http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs32/f/2008/209/b/e/Dar ...
Oh and look at this. You just joined DIGG today. What a shocker. - bbxboy, on 07/29/2008, -0/+3Guy, what the ***** are you talking about? The artwork is some of the best anywhere and the promotional images are almost overkill-- they look awesome. Looks like somebody's got a big-ass chip on their shoulder ;)
- TheSkinsFactory, on 07/29/2008, -1/+3Hyperdesk is not in competition with WindowBlinds. They aren't even close to the same thing. So while I appreciate the compliments, your comment is a bit off. You would have to compare the artists not the platforms if you want to debate beauty, since the applications just allow the artists to apply their work.
- musicphreke, on 08/05/2008, -0/+2This looks awesome. Most of them at least. I'd like some of these for my vista pc for sure. Hope that's coming!
- sandoz666, on 07/29/2008, -1/+2Hey Skins Factory - I really liked those Alienware themes I saw on your other company (skins factory) site, but a lot of the other stuff in that portfolio is every bit as impressive. Why doesn't Microsoft hire you guys to remake the interface for Windows? The work your company does is amazing! I love this freaking remote thing with the energy in it - you have no idea. Even my girlfriend thinks it's cool, but she has a mac. She wants that Wall-e theme though.
- Crituiker, on 07/29/2008, -4/+5Decpetive company practices, Bait and switch screenshots, Owner likes to delete any negative criticism.. Delete ..this... 'buddy' ;)
Do yourself a favor, don't patch your system, you'll regret it sooner or later..especially when your PAYING to do it.
My 2c. - TheSkinsFactory, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1I have, so what's your point? Since when does transparency make a theme good? It's an option, not a style.
- sandoz666, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1I don't know what you're seeing... as far as I can tell what I saw was exactly what I got when I actually installed it (in fact I'd say it looks better running than it does in the screenshots). I've been looking into it and from what I can tell the method they're using seems pretty innocuous. I've already tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and it works perfectly so far as I can tell. I looked at the portfolio of the company that makes it (skins factory) and they're doing a ton of stuff directly for Microsoft and other huge companies, so I feel pretty good about installing this stuff on my machine. It does look incredible.
- TheSkinsFactory, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1You're obviously vstyler since you spout all the same crap as he does almost to the letter.
- TheSkinsFactory, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1Sorry but defaming our company by saying we have "deceptive practices" isn't a critique it's defamation. There is nothing deceptive about anything we do. We have one of the best reputations in the user interface industry creating more than 60 projects for Microsoft, 6 projects for Alienware, 9 projects for Disney and i could go on and on. How i choose to show the themes is my business. There is nothing in the images that can't be replicated in real life. We show promo ads for our work. Designed to show as much as we can in as little space as possible. I love seeing screenshots from people who don't know how to make their desktop look good and then everyone judges it by that shot. I saw that guy's screenshot who bought the trilogy pack. Of course it looked crappy, his desktop is like like 800 x 600 and 2 windows takes up the whole desktop. You can't see anything. This was a screenshot i took earlier: http://skinsfactory.deviantart.com/art/DarkMatter- ... It looks awesome. That's what my desktop looks like normally. Clean.
The patch works perfectly. I had Hyperdesk running the entire time i switched from SP 2 to SP 3 and not a single issue. So what are you basing you accusations on? You're right i do like to delete trolls who bash us. And i'll do it again and again. I don't know why you think i have to listen to your criticism or even accept it. - teshia, on 07/29/2008, -2/+3Wow, this product looks amazing. Absolute stellar stuff and certainly makes Windowblinds look like utter garbage by comparison. For Windows XP, this is easily the most beautiful skinner there is.
- TheSkinsFactory, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1It uses the patch so how "bloated" could it possibly be?
- TheSkinsFactory, on 03/11/2009, -1/+1Funny, we have a whole forum of people who say different: http://www.hyperdesk.com/forums/
- ObiwanShenobi, on 07/29/2008, -4/+4these themes are fud-ugly. Looks like something I ran like 5 years ago.
- metalxdotorg, on 08/24/2008, -1/+1http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14 ...
Why use fugly/bloated programs and themes when you can just do it yourself?
Take a few minutes to learn how to skin Windows on your own and avoid useless programs. It isn't very hard. - LordMite, on 12/03/2008, -1/+1I (very foolishly) bought and tried their Hyperdesk Flagship Theme and found it to be a heap of rubbish not worth a single cent. As for their support NON EXISTENT. They didn't even bother to reply to my emails.
When I asked for assistance they just marked my request as "SOLVED". They did not solve anything, just ignored me!
Keep away from these con-artists! - bmetelsky, on 07/28/2008, -5/+4This is an amazing product! It transforms your ugly windows desktop in just a few clicks. The artwork is awesome! Icons, window styles, Windows Media Player, the whole ball of wax. Give it a try!!
- Crituiker, on 07/29/2008, -2/+1Well, good luck with your boxy square visual styles ;) , for anyone who wants to see FULL and complete transformation of their system with some originality in design , check out windowblinds.net. Visual Styles are old news, old tech, half skinned and use patched system files, not what I want on my PC anyway.. but be your own judge and make the comparison. You'll be glad you did. Oh and I base my 'accusations' on personal experience with the patched VS format. I know several other people who have had problems with it too... just because it worked for u, doesn't mean it will for everyone.
- ObiwanShenobi, on 07/29/2008, -2/+0LOL'd. You must have never used Windowblinds. Where is the transparency in these themes?
- Crituiker, on 07/29/2008, -5/+2 Anyone ever tell you acting defensive makes one look guilty?.
I joined Digg to speak my opinion, suppose you would rather I hadn't? Seems you don't like any sensible critique of your product. Too bad, make a better product and perhaps no one will complain, I have every right to call it as I see it, does that make me a troll? or an educated consumer calling it like I see it?
Sorry but what I have seen doesn't qualify to me as quality, Good in some areas, Great even... Completely lacking in others, especially the promotional images.
When you put in 100% to the work your selling, people won't complain, until you do, expect it. To me, this was 60% - Crituiker, on 07/29/2008, -4/+1Your correct, after comparing, the WB format is better, The WB skinners are better. Not even close to the same thing is an excellent description, WB is most definately superior. :o)
