Problem solved. No login, no fees, awesome. - itsme92, on 10/13/2007, -2/+30@lida
Some of us aren't made of money, and buying a $200 1680x1050 display seemed like a better deal than a $700 1920x1200 display - m0d3s7m1k3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+25No 1280x1024?
- PunkRampant, on 10/11/2007, -2/+26Another good site with tons of nice stuff: http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/
- AirwavesV2, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17This site is even better. It was posted way back but you dont have to pay for the images.
http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/ - windy5883, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Dugg down for use of "amazing"
- Lowspirit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13The one that caught my eye was the industrial smog one, who wouldn't want that on their desktop, gives you that cozy dead and hopeless feeling inside.
- haxx4, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14"How do you walk around with such a large penis size?"
He doesn't, that's why he's on Digg lying on a hospice bed with a laptop on his stomach. - taxonimous, on 10/11/2007, -8/+17Awww, my kids will LOVE the Mongoose =)
- Bevo4138, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13I was part of an expedition that was to build a bridge between both peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
- themoose, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8They need 1280x1024 :(
- akatherder, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I usually don't resort to profanity, but that mongoose infuriates me. ***** you mongoose.
- Tallon29, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11I believe those are the twin peaks of Mt Kilamanjaro (sp?).
- vroom101, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10Can this be done with The GIMP ( http://www.gimp.org/ )?
- ijustam, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6If you're an multimonitor digger such as myself you'll appreciate Wikimedia's collection of images. There are some obnoxiously high-resolution pictures on Wikimedia.
There was an article on Digg called "The Worlds Biggest Digger" which linked to Wikimedia's stock photo of the Bagger 288: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Bagger-garzweiler.jpg which is 5075 × 1490.
Not to take any focus away from the article in question, just an extra reference for multimonitor/ultrawidescreen monitors. - opusaz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I've got a honkin' big Hubble pic of the sombrero galaxy on my dual monitors. Whenever my boss comes in and starts his mindless rambling, I can look into the other tiny galaxies in the distance and all his idiocy fades into the background. Best productivity tool on my computer right now.
http://hubblesite.org/gallery/wallpaper/ - tomarocco, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Awesome observation!!!
- s_mk, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6If anyone is into crazy ass weather pictures.
check out http://www.extremeinstability.com/
He has some impressive wallpapers, and some of the best storm pictures I've ever seen - vroom101, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5@mrsteve007, how do you go about making the 3840 x 1200 images?
- cbabraham, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Dugg down for not being that great.
only 13 photos? there are sites with hundreds. - mrsteve007, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6I really wish there were more (if any) desktops for dual 24" screens. I have to capture and make my own 3840 x 1200 images. Here's the one I'm using right now: http://www.jbdg.com/images/steve/plantback.jpg (warning 1.5 meg image) These are macro images of plants at my office.
For whatever reason, Vista displays the right image on the left screen & visa-versa. That's why they're reversed. - Urusai, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Does anybody have wallpaper that isnt: 1) hot chixx, 2) landscapes, 3) astronomy, 4) closeups of water or glass, 5) random swirlies? I'm just saying, there are other things which can be either photographically captured or designed and put on your desktop. My favorites right now include a tapestry, HAL 9000, and a nice repeating leaf pattern.
- fixinah, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Digg'd as #1 for 8 damn pictures? Buried as lame.
- Cyberdactyl, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I was enamored with the "Lovely Blond in Feather Boa" till I saw the ghetto nails.

- iamdexter, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I tried once and it does not fit properly onto my desktop, the pixels are breaking.
http://www.clarksshoes.us/ - nipterink, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3the mother earth one is pretty boring actually... i prefer the blueberries. it adds life to my desktop.
- nipterink, on 10/13/2007, -1/+3you don't need 1680x1050... that's still a 16:10 ratio.
just get the next largest size (1920x1200) and you can scale it down maintaining the proper aspect ratio. - jatenate, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2you can get new desktop backgrounds every day automatically at WallpaperCuts.com
- everfalling, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3does anyone have a good site for dual display wallpapers? i've got two wide screen monitors i wanna stretch something across

I have some desktops that I made that you might like. They're all originals. You can view them though my Flickr account. There is a link to download each one (most are 2560x1600), which are hosted on my site. Enjoy.
