- StarDal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think the problem with 'not reading before you digg' is that there are a number of things that seem interesting that one may not have time to peruse until later. There's not bookmark feature, so in order to easily find the article again, ppl will digg it so it'll show up in their profile.
- redbike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2this is seriously the bitchiest site I've ever met.

Here's something that the article missed - be sure to use sufficient contrast between your foreground and background to ensure your articles are readable on a computer monitor...
nodigg - Kirtan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hahahaa
that website has really poor colors.. - inactive, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1The best mortgage rates, refinance, home loan, real estate, realty http://tophomemortgageloan.com
- legbend, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Digg needs a status field for each story. If it's voted as not working, and you Digg it anyway, you get shot.
- leftymgp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I made a program a long time ago that kind of helped you with this. It was called html paint brush if you're curious enough to find it. :)

digg++ for pity. - EricAnderton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tiny URL for google cache: http://tinyurl.com/acbak
Thanks @wizgha! - SilentBobSC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Site is getting hammered, and what is with the strikethrough on links? Annoying as hell...
- jiminoc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0what a great guide.. digg ++++
colors make/break a site - halikar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not sure what you are talking about no site wise. Sure, it's slow as molassas, but I got it just fine with a little patience.
Digg just because people are too impatient and close windows. - Linuxrocks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why does it say look at the Samsung logo and then there's a Sony logo?
- EvilCowSan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1buddamagoo, what is digg? Could it possibly be a social BOOKMARKING site? What does someone do when they want to read something later... like perhaps when a server comes back up? Maybe they bookmark, aka digg.
- edto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DUGGED
- xcvmvcx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1gotta love the irony....
nodigg - tomhung, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0couple good web programming color apps!

- strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And I would take color and style advice from that web site... why?
It's ugly. The site design sucks. It uses strike-throughs instead of underlines when you hover over a link.
So, let's recap. The site's fails in:
Design: Bad layout. Ugly as sin.
Colors: Ugly colors which don't work together at all.
Usability: Strike-through? WTF?

Check their downloads... they have a free color picker called "ColorPix". I use it every single day. It even outputs CMYK codes. - xutopia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dug the story on principle. Too many web sites have black backgrounds with yellow font or some sick color combination that hurts the eyes.
+ just reading the cached text is enough to warrant a digg. - colincsl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How many color matching sites do we need? It seems like there is one every few days
- chicksdigme, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Google seems to have cached the article but not the pics.
Darn it!!!
But I think this article can help us--the less artistic ppl--out.
Tech ppl tend to be more left brain oriented :( - mongrel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mmm.. that's not the Samsung logo I'm familiar with
- scottpatricks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree with starda on the digg principle. I believe there should be some sort of bookmarking feature to read stories for later. I disagree with buddamagoo about just adding it to your browsers bookmarks because before you know it you have a thousand bookmarks all unorganized, which you then need to sort through. It would be nice to have a bookmarking feature for your personal use, then when you actually read the article, digg it if it was good. I tend to sometimes digg a site before I actually read the article if I am in a rush and I don't feel like going through old pages to find that particular story. They do have the un(digg) feature, but I think most people skip over this. Just my 2 cents.
- directandy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0awesome article
- xdesign, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0People should focus less on color and focus more on getting rid of those ugle square colored blocks on every web sites. "Made with CSS" they tell us. Hellllllloooo, no need to remind us, we can already tell by looking at the squares! Some course in 2D/3D graphics might help.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What a horrible looking site linking to another horrible looking, straight outta 1997 website. No digg, this is crap.
- cheesedog12345, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Does anyone remember a link from the other day about the top 5-10 'web 2.0' website designs (included mozilla.org and a few others) and an analysis of what made them so good? I've done a bunch of searches and can't find it again -- anyone?
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dead!
- kaycee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.colourlovers.com is another good resource to help you with those colour combinations! The online Colour Lover community is devoted to all things ROYGBIV, giving you palettes to apply to your life in any way you choose to color it. It's a must have bookmark!
