- The_Ox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+38I've visited Mandolux for years.
If you like his work, try to help him out by donating. If I recall correctly, he's struggling with server costs.- z-kitsune, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22http://duggmirror.com/design/A_Collection_of_Beautiful_Widescreen_and_Dual_Monitor_Wallpapers/
To ease the server costs. - mogus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Is it just me or is the mirror not working?
- AWBoy666, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I've also gotten my backgrounds from this site for years. It's the only one that can handle my dual setup (2x 24" Dells - 1920x1200)
- gonephishin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I don't even know why I try clicking on a link on the front page that says something like "huge collection of hi-def widescreen wallpapers." yeah, as if that's not going to be digg effected. duggmirror, here i come.
- parsifal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Or you could just check out his Flickr photostream!!
http://flickr.com/photos/mandolux/ - harrisonpowers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4heh, and there goes his bandwidth
- jmazzi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It doesnt have all of them yet, but he may be uploading the rest. Here: http://r00tshell.com/static/mandolux/

- RatherDashing, on 10/12/2007, -1/+29How do have two different wall papers on different monitors:
Step One: Right click your desktop, then select Properties.
Step Two: Locate the Desktop Tab and click On it.
Step Three: At Tthe bottom of the Desktop Tab Select the Customize Desktop Button.
Step Four: Now in the Desktop Items window that just poped up go to the Web Tab.
Step Five: Click the New Button on the right of the window and select your second wallpapers location.
Step Six: select ok, then select Ok again on the Web Window and Apply on the Desktop Window. now your pic should be on your main screen.
Step Seven: Now Drag the Image over to the other Screen, and select Cover Desktop at the top left of the image.
Now right click and select Arrange By and "Lock web items on desktop." Now you can select a standard desktop for your primary display and use the web object to cover the standard desktop image on your second desktop with the image of your choice.- cynyr, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1okay, now how do i do that with gnome?
- parsifal, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Or you could get UltraMon :-)
http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/ - sumadartson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5@cynyr
Install imagemagick. The command convert +append foo.jpg bar.jpg result.jpg glues two images together left to right. - hansamurai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Ultramon is awesome, I've been using it for years. It also allows you to have a taskbar for each display, so each taskbar will only list windows displayed on that monitor.
- adurity, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@parsifal
Ultramon was cool, but updates are few and far between. It hasn't been updated in over a year and there is plenty that could be updated. - rodneyp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2RatherDashing, Thanks. That was easily the most useful piece of information that I've read all day.
- dylanA, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!! ++digg!
- Kiggold, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1and at 421 diggs the digg effect has already occured, cant connect to site
- jcapogna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15High res pictures + digg effect = ouch
- Bernie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0http://www.wallpaperreview.com/ has links to a bunch of other Wallpaper sites, Mandolux included.
- pyr0x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I can't find any decent websites that have wallpapers that spread across both of my monitors. The only one I can find right now is deviantart.com. Anyone have others they could suggest?
- expotice, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2mandolux is okay, there a few good ones in there. a royal pain to navigate though. but there aren't many good sites with multi-monitor walls. i hope http://interfacelift.com/ adds them, probably one of the better sites for single monitor but high-res widescreen wallpapers
- aerofan897, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I've been using these for awhile, and they are definately the most fantastic multiple-screen wallpapers I have ever seen. Donate to this guy, it is completely worth it.
- ivanv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0When you load the page, any of the links you click on dont work.
"Oops! Looks like you followed a bad link.
If you think this is a problem with Flickr, please tell us.
Here's a link to the home page." - azenone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"Mission Accomplished"
- mobius20, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I knew this site would get dugg one day - and I knew it probably wouldn't stand the traffic.
That guy provides some awesome backgrounds. I'd encourage everyone to please send him a couple bucks. I'd hate to see Mando suffer from his popularity. :) - mjar81, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7This guy is great. Sometimes i resent Digg for revealing all of the awesome sites that i had to work years to find. :(
- robrandtoul, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0http://www.plasmadesign.co.uk
- pyr0x, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1cool wallpapers but you have to buy them so I'm not very interested :)

I'm currently running two 16x10 21" lcd's side-by-side.
Gives me a desktop of 2880x900 or 3.2:1 Aspect. - highoncontrast, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I guess you saw my post on that other wallpaper thread eh kitsune?
- rmw132, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1This is Mandolux's actual website:
http://www.mandolux.com/
More variety and also tons of variations of desktop wallpaper size. - theprizefight, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1so how do i apply the wallpaper to span across my two screens? btw I use nvidia dualview (and i have ultramon)
- CrioKnight, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I think it's funny that people are just discovering this site. I think most Mac users and people that frequent www.iconfactory.com know this guy's work well. He even does 3 monitor wallpapers. Good Job Mando! You definitely get a digg for year's of great desktops.
- FelixdaaHack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I see hes moved into making political commentary with his photographs,

http://flickr.com/photos/mandolux/160144711/ - twistedlittlevp, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1They sure don't make 'em like they used to...Excellent post, but it got me thinking...Should I really buy a widescreen monitor?
- appidydafoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is the fourth time this has hit the front page, and now he just redirected the requests to his flickr stream. You silly bastards.
- litfsh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hubble and NASA backgrounds are pretty easy too. All of the files from Nasa.gov and Hubble (stsci.edu) are huge (often 8000x8000 or bigger). I just take the ones I want, shrink to 1440, and then crop to 900. (I obviously have a 1440x900 widescreen display). My second monitor shows Desktop Earth, a live-ish picture of the earth (showing day/night, the terminator moving, ice increasing/decreasing at the poles w/ the seasons, etc).
Microsoft has a virtual destop powertoy to give you 4 desktops like a Unix box, and there's a different space photo on each one. - JDiZZle300Z, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://flickr.com/photos/mandolux/21196736/
used that shot and used find edge filter on it and use that as my backround

- fantastcandy10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Green ***** FTW!
- wisewaif, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1God damn it. I thought this would stay my little secret. Please people donate to mandolux so he doesn't have a heart attack from the bandwidth bill.
- ChewyChewbacca, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, I've been visiting Mandolux.com for 3 years or so. He has great wallpapers.
- Anyware, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1http://blogs.msdn.com/mswanson/articles/wallpaper.aspx
- JJ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Some pictures look great if you use the largest size file and then use the Tile setting. e.g. The palm trees wallpaper looks great on my 17"/15" dual setup, since the tree tops show up on the left, and the blue sky with the 3 birds show up on the right. Great wallpapers BTW.
- artofwar420, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I love his work.
- FzArEkTaH, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1From the site
