- sremick, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21Obviously the joke was lost on you. ;)
However, the manner of its submission is the only joke. The guide itself is serious. - scanman20, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17I think sremick is trying to be witty by attempting to break all of the rules he linked to. I get it. Ha.
- Franck, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Sure Cander. Even the "Never just say Title says it all in the description" rule is included.
- Cander, on 10/12/2007, -10/+18Does it include tips on not annoying people with Caps Lock and incorrect spelling?
- cmiller1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I thought the title was pretty funny and gave it a digg, love the article too!
- sremick, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9At least some people "got it" ;) Thanks
- sremick, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9"Leave politics out of it already."
Precisely why it's mentioned in the guide. You misunderstood the tone. I was making an example. The "we all" is the group of people that the hypothetical poster is preaching to that already agree with him.
I'm well aware that not everyone on Digg holds those same opinions. - RBotros, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7It's more than a day old now. You know what? I'm gonna dupe it.
- RBotros, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Burried already? http://digg.com/search?search=STORYS+EVAR%21%21%21%21&submit=Search&area=all&type=both&age=7
- cam2009, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4must you comment to everyone's reply?

GO DIGG!
Go sremick! YAY! :P - sremick, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8Duh, of course I refer people to it. Otherwise what's the point? Write a guide and then hide it from everyone?
Sorry your feelings got hurt because you duped a post and you were caught. Other people like the guide and agree with its points. So it doesn't "suck". You're in the minority.
I don't "spam". Spamming would be posting it everywhere. I don't. I only refer people to it who, like yourself, don't do a search before posting duplicate submissions (or like others who can't spell worth a damn). You can whine on here all you want, but that's the facts of it. Yes there are lots of dupes on here, there were before I wrote this. That's WHY I wrote it. Marking a post as "duplicate" doesn't help as much as doing that AND trying to help the person learn how to post better in the future. But I suppose it's inevitable that some will have a hissy fit instead of trying to improve themselves. Happens in grade school too.
And what exactly is wrong with submitting an article I wrote myself? Must be all those ads I have on there so I can make money off it... oh wait, there aren't any. And so what if it's my only article? Everyone's first article is by-definition of no value? Maybe I should instead post dupes like you and others so I can increase my submission count and play along with this "submitted articles" pissing contest that is apparently so important to you. Sorry, but Digg has no lack of "submitters"... there's no problem in me simply being a reader and a commenter. However, Digg DOES have too many people posting crap... so that's where I'm trying to make a difference.
And I'm not "badgering" anyone. I respond to them once. Except for you, of course, who can't stand being wrong and being corrected. Show me the other people I'm supposedly "badgering"... the people where I've responded to their submission over and over (might want to look up the definition of "badger", since apparently you don't know what it means or else you are trying to save-face by falsely-accusing me).
What are YOU doing to make Digg a better place, besides whining that you got caught posting a dupe? - RBotros, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2damn this article was nice
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes
- RBotros, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i guess he means : must u reply one everyone's comment?
- Aidenag, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6This thing is beyond dumb, mostly because this guy just goes around spamming people with it on the posts they made.. instead of doin anything himself.... Please stop digging this people, he is just trying to get attention by flaming posts... to raise this ones diggs
REPORTED AS SPAM! - alej744, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Actually, sremick, in many of the front page stories I have dugg/seen, you have commented on it in a trying-to-be-funny-and-sarcastic-huge-loser tone. Kinda like your title. And usually it is not linked to this guide.
- alej744, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Oh, and I forgot, your comments always get dugg down and buried. (Maybe because people hate you and your spammish loser ways?)
- markitos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0why? is it copyrighted ?
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Stop using my name!
- sremick, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4"...instead of doin anything himself."
Umm, other than reporting dupes and pointing people in the right direction to submit better in the future, exactly what can I do "myself"? Go to peoples' houses and take away their keyboards?
One could argue that by doing up this guide and directing people to it when they botch a submission, I am very much doing something "myself". How are YOU helping people?
"Spamming" would be if I was tossing it in to any comment when it is off-topic. I am not. I report dupes just like other people. That's the way Digg works. Some people also add a comment to the dupe so that the submitter knows why they got buried, in an attempt to educate them. I got a step further and point them to this guide, in hopes that they can do better in the future.
Doing that is NOT "flaming". Sorry. - Aidenag, on 10/12/2007, -8/+7sremick.... Quit spamming this thing to 500 diff posts per day... when you say your contributing to the community... BADGERING people is not how you do that..
This is the only story you have contributed... an article YOU made and YOU keep posting LONG LONG after it hasnt gotten digged due to it SUCKING!
Give the hell up - danglerman, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1yeah, you really took your time reading this article...
- mfratt, on 10/12/2007, -16/+4No digg for "We all hate Bush.... The War in Iraq." Leave politics out of it already.
