- jggube, on 02/05/2009, -4/+14Very inspirational roundup! I've always been a fan of Dragon Interactive's "glowing" navigation bar - especially because it uses JavaScript,\ and not Flash.
- hawksfan03, on 02/05/2009, -1/+9Dear Digg,
Please remove stories like this that have nothing but spam comments.
Thank you - imronburgundy83, on 02/05/2009, -2/+8Wow, digg sucks.
- raustin, on 02/05/2009, -4/+10Interesting mix; some are unique, others seem old news...
- danhauk, on 02/05/2009, -1/+5Not that hard, actually. Make a point to sit down for a couple hours and learn the basics. Keep a reference book on hand until you get it down to memory. There are tons of resources out there to help you.
- Meocross, on 02/05/2009, -0/+3Learning the basics isnt the problem, managing to finish it is (>_o).
- flatpick, on 02/05/2009, -1/+3They may be beautiful and user friendly, but they also waste incredible amounts of real-estate. Granted, I only looked at the first two, but what I saw didn't entice me to look any further. You can't waste 50% of above-the-fold with your self-indulgent banner/toolbar and expect to have an effective design. If you want to be artsy, then do whatever you want. Most of us are in this business to get a customers' attention.
- vozdra08, on 02/05/2009, -0/+2Down with power (paid) users.
- haicharlie143, on 02/09/2009, -0/+1wow simply a great collection
Well Wisher of
www.redrevival.com - alfreako, on 02/05/2009, -3/+4I swear, I can't stop digging these damn lists...it's a compulsion.
- muteSirens, on 02/06/2009, -0/+1nickAD.com blew my mind, especially because I'm using the touchpad on my laptop.
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -8/+9Some great stuff in here. We ought to thank God every day for talented graphic designers...
- picsectionpleez, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1We've been needing this; excellent organization of nav menus too. +1!
- lendrick, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1"This unique website is all about easy-to-use navigation."
http://www.nickad.com/
Clearly I have differing ideas from the author of the article and this particular website about what constitutes "easy-to-use". Also, good menus don't make a thumping noise (or any noise at all) when I click on them. - purzzzell, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1*sigh* another one. Bury, report.
- saintamour, on 02/05/2009, -1/+2I gonna put this story under the "Things I wish I could do" category
- annjay, on 02/05/2009, -3/+3Beautiful round-up
- fonziguy, on 02/05/2009, -3/+3I like it, great inspiration
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -2/+2surprised*
- acnerevies, on 10/16/2009, -0/+0Just a 10 percent reduction in weight can improve heart function, lower blood pressure and levels of blood cholesterol and triglycerides, and decrease the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. And new research shows that obese people with sleep apnea who lose 10 percent of their weight can significantly improve their symptoms and potentially rid themselves of the disorder. http://eluhealthcare.blogspot.com/

- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -2/+1Beautiful and user friendly are often very different things. Users should never be left wondering "what am I supposed to click on" which many of these examples do.
- soymalau, on 02/05/2009, -3/+250 astonishing and free reasons why smashing is boring :
1. It's always the same
2. It's always the same
3. It's... - AlaskaLoneWolf, on 02/05/2009, -2/+1amen.
- isntreal, on 02/05/2009, -3/+2Web design has become stagnant; this is just more of the same artificial 2.0 cookie cutter. I'm all for a sleek interface, but even the hoodlums on my street can keep it fresher than this.
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -3/+1Gabbo design? I bet Crunchy the clown is pissed about that...
- anexanhume, on 02/05/2009, -4/+2All on one page. Are they insane?!
- isntreal, on 02/05/2009, -4/+1Interesting how this story had 450+ diggs before even 10 comments had been made. Digg(ers), you are suffering from an invasive cancer. I still poke around here with the hopes of finding some unique digg-esque content that I won't come across somewhere else.. but.. frankly.. digg is just looking more juvenile every day.
- designingartist, on 02/05/2009, -5/+1Wonderful collection - thanks!
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -6/+2AWESOME SHARE! Will use some
- thatnerdygirl, on 02/05/2009, -4/+0Who would think something as simple as navigation could be presented in such an elegant and beautiful manner?
- fragileKnight, on 02/05/2009, -6/+1To be learnt and mastered by newbies and also a refresher for experts
- viraj86, on 02/05/2009, -8/+3CSS is so freaking hard...I might prefer climbing the everest instead !
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -9/+4buried for moron poster. suprised this isn't a dupe
