- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20Hello, Travelodge? Yes, we're going camping and I'd like you to deliver a hotel room to site 53.
Thanks! - whatthefu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Why would anyone want to live in a room where they could easily be being watched at all times?
- vvaduva, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7When I was growing up, I always dreamed about living in a shipping container...like rich people do.
- Matrixsta, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Pretty soon you all be "livin' in a Mobile Urban Van down by the River!"
- carpespasm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5not so much. maybe it's exciting news for poeple who like the look of the outdoors but don't want to sacrifice the effort of actually being in it.
- suxmonkey, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5If only they'd also send you a bellhop ... that would seal the deal for me
- ChocChunkOaties, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Did no one learn anything from watching David Blane? When will people realise that if you hire a large fish tank to sleep in you will a) look stupid and b) probably end up having rocks & cheeseburgers thrown at it.
- philsharp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Sleeping inside a house is not camping... camping is usually done outdoors.
- philsharp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3The article mentions nothing about shades. You need to read the article; don't just look at the pretty pictures.
- adamkhel, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Wait...
I can has cheeseburger? - Spamcan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I would totally live in a GMC PAD if it was an option.
- colto, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Umm didn't you mean dihydro monoxide?
- cortez_a, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I didn't see Taco Bell's Crunch Wrap Supreme...buried as inaccurate
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1yeah, nothing better than in a hotel, while nausea makes you have to puke out the window
- cvh26, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1i dare you to go watch a scary movie in this thing in a field at night. i dare you.
- JonTheGoose, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'll stick to my camping tent and sleeping bag, tyvm
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yep. Its not camping unless all thats between you and 'nature' is a thin sheet of nylon tent material.
Any of you people that go 'camping' in cabins are just gutless losers! - PerfektXj, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1amazing
- JrGhoull, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1i dunno about that...i mean, it depends on the model of course, but i'd reckon alot of RVs fit the dimensions of that. the reason i'd figure this will never be around is because its too cool. seriously...the idea simply seems too futuristic/cool to be done. there are alot of things out there like that..which seem really cool, but for one reason or another are never done. the main reason i'd say this will never happen is because if it got too popular, well, we'd be f***ed. could u imagine tryin to park this thing? where would u park it? they have RV areas...but with something like this, you'd having people triple parkin all over the place. and from the looks of the insides, where would u keep ur stuff? where would u cook food? in terms of having a place to work, a portable office space, this would be perfect...otherwise...meh
ps: sorry to anyone reading this...next time i will try and put effort intomaking my posts more organized and less like a rambling idiot - MrSunshine, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The car thing looks like it's straight out of Mad Max or any other futuristic, apocalyptic B-movie.
- givemereplay, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You will never, ever see anything like this. Why must futurists deny practicality in their designs? RVs are popular because they are road worthy. How in God's name are you going to take a behemoth like that top photo on the highway?
- MrSunshine, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It was cool 7 years ago, now it isn't anymore. Nowadays you're insulted as a "gay art school hipster" if you walk around with that.
- Seaton, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I would soooooooo live in that GMC Pad.
- widdelywah292, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I'll take a dozen!
- cfd339, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Let the jokes begin!
MobilTel 6 - You'll leave a light on for us...
Redneck Suites - Just like your trailer at home - we've even got an old TV under the working one...
Thank you for staying with us, would you like the optional tornado insurance?
Pretty soon, they'll have these with a sort of "hitch" on the front and you can bring your hotel with you, but pulling it with something like a car, only a little bigger.
Maybe, someday, they'll add wheels to them, and maybe a big diesel engine and you could DRIVE your hotel around.
Just imagine the bright future we'll all be living in. - cubsfaninNYC, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1living in a shipping container would be cool, as long as i'm not on the container ship
- Saoo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1The middle set of pictures is the freitag store in Switzerland. Sells recycled messanger bags made from truck tarpaulins. Cool stuff check it out.

- jono10, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Hello, Mr Smith? Yes, you're going camping and I'd like you to deliver a yourself to Fema camp site 53.
Thanks! - ImSmarterThanU, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Interesting but VERY poorly written. Detracts from the article. The pics were cool tho.
- AC76, on 12/09/2007, -0/+0The designs look awesome. I'm sticking to the hotels during travel, though. You can't get room service in those porto-hotels!
http://www.internetmarketingbonuses.com - CharlesD, on 03/31/2008, -0/+0This is what I call going overboard. Not very realistic.
http://www.order.com - stgermond, on 01/22/2008, -0/+0A hotel room delivered? Throw in a pizza, a couple of Netflix DVDs and a massage, and I'm in. http://www.lifesterblog.com/user/acne
- enivid2007, on 12/17/2007, -0/+0Nice design, but I doubt it is affordable.
