/Buried inaccurate - inactive, on 12/26/2008, -1/+8She wants better photoshop skills for christmas.
Or a Mac. That would help too. - alapoet, on 12/26/2008, -1/+7Dugg for the naked redhead. I even forgive her for having an HP.

TalSiach could you explain why 30 unforgettable ads? - theWrkncacnter, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4Thought it said unforgivable...
- ericshuff85, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4VW's snowflake pop-up is marketing genius.
- PaperKutter, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4it's just santa claus and some elf, is that so christian?
- vinceislegend, on 12/26/2008, -0/+4I somehow don't want to eat M&Ms anymore.
- OCDMedic, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3Seriously, what's the deal with the HP ad. Is it just the fact she is photo shopped or is there something more that I might be missing?
- lca473, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3Yes, those are unforgettable Christmas ads. I will never forget any of those for the rest of my life.
- biggiefrye45, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3I really like the Rodolph M& M one.. it was awesome... also the HP one was good too
- techtock, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3Hurray. Ads. Nothing on Earth gets me more excited.
- PaperKutter, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3my favorite is the "don't let irresponsible driving wreck christmas, 2007".....the looks on everyone's faces are PRICELESS
- maroon1872, on 12/26/2008, -1/+4The Pfizer quit smoking ad had nothing to do with christmas.
- Visual77, on 12/26/2008, -0/+3No, I really don't mind. I've been involved with running a few operations in the past and ad revenue does a huge amount to offset cost of operation. Without ads, the things we use would be far more expensive. If you took ads away from television, we would have to pay for all content. If you took ads away from websites, we would have to pay for most of them. Sure, ads are nothing more than an attempt to get your money, but it is not an entirely deplorable practice.
- lolwaffle, on 12/25/2008, -3/+5Not print like these, but this is my favorite Christmas related advertisement, from Eat 'n Park. Been waiting for the commercial to appear every year for over 20 years. It's not Christmas without it!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3NhDtfZmd0&fea ... - Visual77, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2You don't need your computer or internet connection, ya know.... but yet you threw away money on that stupid *****.
Hypocrisy amazes me. - scarwars, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2Google.. infidels!
- rusty0101, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2He brought you a shovel? I think it's supposed to be a suggestion to relocate here. He brought me snow.
- amnesiacradio, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2you should... yeah, you should chill out.
- Darmichar, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2You're not missing anything, these are mediocre print ads at best.
- SquigglyP, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2You all think I'M the one with issues.
You're the ones that are so well-adjusted to this kind of shallow *****. - SquigglyP, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2Because we should all live in caves. Get ***** real, man. I'm not against any kind of technology or ever buying anything. I'm just amazed at how fascinated everyone seems to be at marketing. Do you not realize that everything you buy is an ad? Everything. Buy an iPhone. it's got a huge Apple iPhone logo on the back. Why? You barely ever see it. It's so other people can see that you're using an iPhone. Most other phones also display their logo on the back. Nike makes shirts that say "Nike", and stupid people pay $25 for the opportunity to turn themselves into a walking billboard for Nike. You buy some shoes and there will be a huge logo on the top or the side or both. Buy a DVD and when you load it up you're treated to ads for more movies. Turn the TV on for 5 minutes and see ten ads. Load up just about any website and see about ten ads. Hell, there are sites with much more ad space than actual content, and the best web ads are the ones that pop up and block the actual content. THEY CARE MORE ABOUT YOU SEEING THE AD than you seeing the content you went to that page to see.
You're perfectly ok with this? You don't mind that there are toys being sold to children that teach them how to be good little shoppers? You don't care that the national savings in the US - and really around the world - are at an all time low - a negative number, even. You don't care that the average person has $40,000 in credit card debt AND RISING.
Yeah, you might argue that I'm taking it too seriously, but I only give a ***** because no one else takes it seriously enough. I don't want to be homeless at 65 because the rest of the ***** ***** in this country never learned anything about basic economics and lived their lived by some consumerist delusion that spending all of your money plus using all available credit on worthless crap is the best way to 'stimulate' the economy. It's not. Too much growth is actually a very bad thing, because it can't go on forever. If you can't maintain a balance then eventually it all gets cocked up and your economy tanks. Oh hey, look at what's happened to our economy! Gee, you think maybe it's cause everyone in this country goes out shopping and throwing away money they don't even have and then defaulting on all of their credit card bills? Man, who would ever have imagined something crazy like that happening? - rusty0101, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2I would have to say that there are at least three ads in the batch that SquigglyP might want to re-evaluate what exactly he is talking about regarding. The Childhope, Bola Amiga, and Salvation Army ads don't appear to me to be trying to get me, you, or pretty much anyone to "throw money away on stupid ***** you don't need"
But then perhaps I'm being too sentimental. - muleskinner, on 12/25/2008, -1/+3Right, well, this site is down already so I guess these adverts will actually be quite forgettable :|

- TimDigg, on 12/26/2008, -1/+3The HP ad is really creepy...
- scojerroc, on 12/26/2008, -1/+3i thought the VW snowflake was pretty clever.
- scarwars, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2I'm surprised this one didn't make it:

(from some Norwegian airline company) - emkaysmith, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2The best one here -- or at least the wittiest -- is the origami Christmas tree ornament. The VW snowflake is right behind it. (I've actually seen and handled that one.) The best of the "social message" ads is "Don’t let irresponsible driving wreck Christmas, 2007." Very pointed.
- leif77, on 12/26/2008, -0/+2I can't remember which one is my favorite.
- fucknuggets, on 12/26/2008, -1/+3one page = dugg

- inactive, on 12/27/2008, -0/+1"What i want for christmas"
leprosy??? - SquigglyP, on 12/29/2008, -0/+1I'm sure there are more 'good' ads than that. And I'm sure you're looking at a ratio of 'good' to 'worthless *****' of about 1:1 Billion.
- smoreorless, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1http://www.christmas-songs.net
- SquigglyP, on 12/29/2008, -0/+1yes, there are benefits from it, and it has to exist - you can't get rid of marketing - but the WAYS in which it's done pisses me off, and the way people treat them as utterly normal... It's just sad.
Also, why do servers cost so much? mostly bandwidth. Why does bandwidth cost so much? because it's limited in supply. What uses most of the bandwidth on the net?
Advertising.
how's that for some ***** irony. - sunsetprojects, on 12/26/2008, -1/+2Heineken santa drinks too much
- GB570, on 12/26/2008, -0/+1forgotten*
- annjay, on 12/26/2008, -2/+3I see these ads and for me its a right time and quite good collection so far.
- iloveobama, on 12/26/2008, -2/+3What a glorious morning full of wonder. I awoke in the new United Socialist States of America to discover that Santa Mao answered my deepest wish and brought me a new shovel. I couldn't wait to run outside and dig a few holes in the yard just to try it out. He didn't bring me a cabbage but the fine folks at the People's Farm Collective came by and left an extra ration of potatoes and beets on the porch of my dacha. I guess there were workers somewhere who needed that cabbage more than I did so I'm glad they got what they deserved.
Wishing all my comrades (commissars, functionaries, apparatchiks and even the thought criminals) a year of Hope and Change. -
