- mnocket, on 09/03/2009, -8/+166I'm feeling kinda stupid - I don't see the mistake in the Pepsi ad.
- opticwind, on 09/04/2009, -2/+113Guide:
1. The "midget" joke is implying that the hands belong to a midget holding up cherries in front of the women because she's not holding them, the hands are shopped in.
2. The hands one is debatable, it's possibly her left hand and not the right hand on top, giving the illusion of a screwed up shop.
3. The reflection is off. It should be straight-down parallel with the can, but actually leans forward.
4. The reflection of the SD card has "4gb" as the memory, not 8gb like in the picture.
5.The check is shopped in, as you can see from the missing check in the reflection on the car.
6. The back-wheel is half gone.
7. This one's a bit obvious, the picture was changed after it was showcased on a photoshop disaster site.
8. Two hands on the guy's shoulders, both belong to the guy on the right somehow.
9. You can only see the legs of a man behind Sawkozy that was shopped out.
10. Her face was shopped in.
11. Weird elbows, sometimes bent totally backwards. I don't get the knee one though.
12. Another ghost hand, floating with no one attached.
13. People are debating this one, but as the gun is being fired is finger should probably be on the trigger.
14. She has wet hair, but her reflection shows it as dry.
15. She has 3 hands.
16. Someone tried to make her smile prettier but cropping the smile and enlarging. They failed.
17. Another debatable one, but it *looks* like her chin is gone. Kindof.
18.She has a third arm. Daily Mail is notorious for bad shopping.
19. No belly button.
20. As a photoshop site mentioned of this picture, starting from right to left each arm/hand holding a bottle gets more and more badly-shopped. The angles, plus the fact they aren't holding the bottles, are terrible.
21. His elbow is bent at a 90 degree angle, and that's pretty hard considering how far away it is from his shoulder.
22. Photoshop disasters aren't always mistakes, like we see here. It's just badly done.
23. She either has a white stomach with no belly button, or a black stomach that has no belly button and is being hit with a very bright flash.
24. I think the finger sizes are pretty strange, but I don't know about this one.
25. The sword is shopped over his hand.
26. Obvious, but the man was cropped and pasted several times in the crowd.
27. A different person is in the reflection of the girl, in the laptop screen.
28. The shirt's text/logo is on top of her hand, breaking most laws of physics.
29. Again, photoshop disasters aren't always mistakes, like this one with the "artist" who left another person's hand in the shop.
30. Where the hell is the rest of his body. This is probably the least of the worst on the list, and most likely intentional. - kanojo1969, on 09/04/2009, -3/+106Dugg for single-page alone.
People should notice that the majority of these are from photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com, I've perused it occasionally over the last couple years, there's thousands of 'em and the sample in this article are definitely not the best, there's far better at the source.
Finally - that GTA4 mutated hand was a surprise, I've never noticed it before. - CrunchyDeluxe, on 09/04/2009, -8/+75I'll be honest... several of these (most that have a mirrored effect) don't seem to actually have anything wrong...
- alpha88, on 09/04/2009, -2/+60The Pepsi one is wrong because the shape of the reflection should actually be in the same perspective as the can itself, but it's obviously just been flipped upside-down.
The Lexar one has the correct reflection perspective, but 8gb on the card and 4gb in the reflection. - tj111, on 09/03/2009, -2/+59There's a whole website devoted to this: http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/
- kanojo1969, on 09/04/2009, -0/+37the reflection says 4gb
- hellengineer, on 09/03/2009, -2/+39haha amazing kid pointing at that screen
- kanojo1969, on 09/04/2009, -2/+37I think they think that the reflection is on the wrong axis or something, my brain wasn't interested in thinking about it hard enough to decide, moved to the next one.
- d2cole, on 09/03/2009, -2/+36i don't see mistakes in a couple of these... what am i missing?
- ileftfark, on 09/03/2009, -2/+36No kidding. It was watermarked on almost every pic.
I see this site takes the "Power Digger Approach" to finding and submitting content. - mtdna, on 09/04/2009, -2/+35Soooo... can somebody explain how this is a "disaster"?
I think the rule should be that if fewer than 1 in 100,000 people would notice, it's not a disaster. - MtheoryX, on 09/03/2009, -0/+29While that may be true, I'm pretty sure that gun has just been fired... you know, with the muzzle blast coming out the barrel and all :\
- pimperj, on 09/04/2009, -1/+27I don't even think they got it as they circled the wrong area!
- Lavarock, on 09/04/2009, -2/+26i think the reflection should wrap around the can. it's pretty minor.
- black27696, on 09/04/2009, -0/+21I actually don't get the first one. I know it's something obvious, probably, but I don't see it. Is there something wrong with the cherries?
- d2cole, on 09/04/2009, -5/+23the only thing i can think of is that the reflection is slightly transparent so you can see the pepsi zero reflection through it
- piesforyou, on 09/04/2009, -5/+20Well the red circle seems to actually be circling the writing. I wouldn't say getting the perspective on a reflection slightly wrong a disaster!
- Atario, on 09/04/2009, -3/+17The reflections are just flipped images of the cans, placed below them. A real reflection would let you see the can from a different angle -- you'd be seeing the can from beneath (and upside down).
- Soniti, on 09/04/2009, -0/+14I don't know if I would call these photoshop disasters.. At best, maybe Photoshop amusements.
- TalahRama, on 09/04/2009, -2/+16The Playboy one wasn't actually from Playboy. It was done specifically for a chain letter poking fun at Playboy for airbrushing.
http://www.hackerfactor.com/blog/index.php?/archiv ... - SpazAttack5000, on 09/04/2009, -2/+15Someone has to tell me what is wrong with the first one. I will feel stupid when I find out though.
- Echomote, on 09/04/2009, -0/+11not with a username like that
- ncapone, on 09/04/2009, -2/+12The Spinal Tap one was intentional.
- sirbeta, on 09/04/2009, -4/+14Or the guy could have just linked you to http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/ instead of showing any images on his site. Seriously, he took like two whole pages in a row from PD.
- 3Y3CON, on 09/04/2009, -5/+14May as well link to the site where all these were taken from, many more good photoshop screw ups too : http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/
- KMartSheriff, on 09/04/2009, -0/+9Indeed, but even so it took me a minute because the red circle kind of overlaps the 4 GB part.
- djdisconess, on 09/04/2009, -1/+10I would like to add a few things to this nice list :D
11. He has a woman's hand, and the reflections don't match the bodyparts.
21. Not only does his elbow bend unnaturally...he has three hands.
23. I definitely think the model was black, with a mismatch tummy shop.
24. She has two index fingers only distinguishable from the shadow inbetween.
26. If you look in the middle of the man being restrained it's like he's split in half or transparent.
And I guess 30 kinda looks like he's popping out of the basket on the firetruck driven by a toy half his size :D - Atario, on 09/04/2009, -2/+11It's just her face, with body parts stuffed into the frame -- as a result, her shoulders look narrow enough to qualify her as Olive Oyl.
- warbird, on 09/04/2009, -1/+9Also, the reflections should touch each other all the way round, on the whole area where surface to surface touches. (Unless the cans are tipping towards the viewer, in the process of falling over)
- HamNCheese, on 09/04/2009, -0/+8#6 - The bike tire is incomplete
#10 - look behind and to the left of the actors. They are identical copies of themselves. - Lemon, on 09/04/2009, -0/+7The disaster in #4 is photoshopping the red ring over the top of the "actual" disaster, obscuring the mistake it's there to point out.
- tmyprod, on 09/04/2009, -2/+9There's also a whole website dedicated to this:
http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/ - UnFriendlyFire, on 09/04/2009, -0/+6"See, Jimmy, this is a girl's butt."
- opticwind, on 09/04/2009, -0/+6I'm a long-time fan of the site, and I understand what you're saying. He didn't originally watermark it though. Around 2008, he said too many people starting linking his images and taking the "finds" as their own. The site, however, was for anyone to donate. He would and still does give credit to whoever finds and reports the disaster.
- opticwind, on 09/04/2009, -1/+7A lot of them are very subtle. Especially #1. In the original pic, it was just the woman. Then they added fake forearms as a layer, then fake hands come up in that "holding" position, then added the cherries as ANOTHER layer. The "midget" joke is implying that the hands belong to a midget holding up cherries in front of the women because she's not holding them.
I've seen all of these pics before on photoshop disaster blogs, I didn't get a lot of them until they were explained either. Any others? - DaviDTC, on 09/04/2009, -2/+8They point out the reflection in #5, but miss the shadow.
Now what's wrong with #6, and 10? - Grova, on 09/03/2009, -2/+8http://telstarlogistics.typepad.com/photos/uncateg ...
- HamNCheese, on 09/04/2009, -1/+7Everything about it is off. Random body parts pasted together. Look a the distance between her arms/shoulders.
- jeremiahjw, on 09/03/2009, -0/+6Oh wow, I didn't notice that it was being fired. It could be that the finger wasn't on the trigger in the first place.
- HamNCheese, on 09/04/2009, -0/+6Looks like it's shooting to me.... You know.... The muzzle flash and all that.
- nepidae, on 09/04/2009, -0/+5ok, 17 was awesome
- AgentRoyIV, on 09/04/2009, -0/+5tsk tsk to the few images that were trying to get passed off as "journalism"
- insertAliasHere, on 09/04/2009, -1/+6#23: She is actually wearing a peach colored undershirt. Check their other boxes, most of their models are wearing undershirts. This one's gone around a whole lot.
- DaviDTC, on 09/04/2009, -0/+5I saw the copies behind the people, but I don't think that is what they were pointing out as it wasn't circled.
- kewlceo, on 09/04/2009, -1/+5>24. I think the finger sizes are pretty strange, but I don't know about this one.
She has 5 fingers. - warbird, on 09/04/2009, -0/+4She looks average sized to me...
- teemingvoid, on 09/05/2009, -0/+4The lexar one took me a couple minutes (the red circle actually makes it more difficult to see) the reflection is 4 gb rather than the 8 gb advertised. If they didn't mention most of these, I would have NEVER noticed
- MudMan69, on 09/04/2009, -0/+4Some of these are obvious, but many are barely noticeable and can by no means be classified as a "disaster".
- Crisender111, on 09/05/2009, -0/+4Cant they effing even draw a simple circle around the right area?
I missed it simply cuz I kept staring inside the circle. PS disaster! Irony. -
